Congrats for that Killington Buckle! I've watched your 2022 video in preparation for this year. Hope your friend that DNFed on the Ultra Sandbag Carry is recovering well, briefly talked to him, there. Have a good NYC Marathon, Mate!
I did the Beast at Killington last weekend and damn that was tough but you killed it bro I’m actually now looking at doing the ultra at Vernon in April
Speaking of redemption, I went to the Vermont Spartan 5K Race on Sunday. I have done Spartan and Savage Races before. BUT months ago, I had to have a procedure done on both of my legs, and you know what comes next? Downtime and recovery. For over 2 months, I couldn't even squat down, and getting into my car took minutes. Then, I moved back up to hiking until I could finally jog and squat again. I was itching to do a hard Spartan Race by the time Vermont weekend happened, and it is pretty tough for a 5K. I wasn't quite recovered to do the whole rope climb, so I just climed half way. But it gets juicier. I saw that the Sandbag Carry took some players out, and they had to be evacuated. With that, Spartan Race closed the downhill portion of the carry right in front of me and other people, so we had to carry the sandbags around the course in the weeds, until we got back down to finish the obstacle. A lot of men and other people had to put their sandbags down much more often than I did, so I must have done something right. I did the majority of the obstacles and was more than prepared to do any burpees and penalty runs. Plus, I finished the Spartan Race, and much more quickly than I thought I would. Better than Top 20%!!
congratulations on coming back and completing the ultra!
Thank you!!

Thanks man! Glad the other video was helpful. Hoping this one helps more people prep for the hardest Spartan out there!
2 years in the making! Congratulations!
Great work! That was a tough race!
Excellent job! Congrats on getting that Belt Buckle!!
Thanks guys! It’s been eluding me for quite some time now. Feels good to finally get my hands on one.

Great job doing the beast! That’s definitely an accomplishment to be proud of
