Hi, great review as usual but there's an inconsistency about the integrated graphics in the 11th gen H series processors. They are of the same generation as the Xe integrated in the 11th gen U processors, however they are severely cut-down to accommodate the higher number of CPU cores: between 24 and 32 EUs in the H series, compared to the 80 to 96 in the U series, which explains the far lower performance. From my understanding Intel reserves the Xe branding to the higher performance graphics, which makes sense.
Thanks @Robin G. I have never really taken too much notice of the integrated graphics in the performance processors as most of the time they are typically paired with discrete graphics chip. This was the first time I really notice the difference of the change in as you have pointed out the lower graphics EUs in the 11th Gen H processors. Great information even for me to learn @Robin G. thanks for that, always learning new things everyday =). I will pin this comment for other viewers to note the change.
I am using this laptop since 2 months. This model is having heating issue and low battery backup. No recommended to buy. My experience based after using
@Ashish Sharma report to Dell, the Latitude 54xx range does have bad paste on the processor which make this computer run way hotter than normal. Easy for Dell tech to repaste thermal paste on the processor.
I have this laptop with the nVidia MX450 option... I also now have the new Latitude 5430.... no nVidia MX450 but I think it is a 10 core CPU.... which is better and should I switch to the new one as my daily driver?
You could use this as for Electrical Engineer but I not the most ideal, I would go for the Precision 75xx or XPS 15 that has more powerful discrete graphics which will assist in your CAD work @Thanh Tùng Trần .
I have a Dell Latitude 5421 with an 11500 processor, very poor cooling, the fan is constantly running and very noisy. I had 4 Dell Latitude computers before him and this is the noisiest, it's not comfortable to work.
@stepan stepan, report it into Dell, if the fan is constantly running its the sign of the thermal paste not applied correctly to the processor. We had a number of these had same issue, dell tech came out and just reapplied the correct amount of thermal paste and it pretty much fixes the issue. We had a bad batch of them like this.
The reason the performance sucks is because the fan doesn't turn on until it thermal throttles. It could run circles around other laptops if it wasn't permanently overheating.

Great to hear that it was useful for you @nazarottto =) fantastic. Thanks for the feedback =).
Nice video and review, i love the background also!

Thanks for the encouragement @Carlos Mendoza, I try to cover as much as usefulness some users would look for in these types of laptops.
Thanksd for dewtailed review!
Very welcome @Truten Alexey
Q: what ssd drive did Dell ship with this unit? Was it the SK Hynix BC711? BTW...great review, very thorough.

I got this from my company yesterday.
what about display quality? RGB, NTSC etc - you should have discussed that as well
I got my 5421 i7 32GB 1TB with 130W power supply
What about the performance?
Is it good for Electrical Engineer ? ( Eplan, Cad electric , ...) Thanks

why you did not say about keyboard noob? it is a super cool keyboard

Should i can use this laptop as Revit student?
You can but I would suggest also getting the discrete graphics option in to help with the Realtime renders.
@@BsianTech thanks, and also seller told me that it has 4.40ghz turbo speed so is that helpful?
100% junk I have to work off of... love my home 16" M1 Pro Macbook.
