Why do you think I work so hard and do all the things I do because I don’t want nobody else to do anything for you, babe baby please ask me what you want
As soon as I found this, before the music could barely begin, tears fell from my eyes, reminding me of times long gone and that don't exist anymore, YOU GO GIRL!!!

Queen Millie Jackson I am Missing You With A Passion. [HIS Darius J. Whitson]
An underrated, but classic R&B pearl from Millie Jackson.
1971 was my birth year. Great memories of this music growing up.
Her second biggest hit single, and an all time classic on the Carolina Beach Music scene.... and my personal favorite Millie Jackson song (besides “My Man, A Sweet Man”)!!!
I have always loved this song...Millie,the background singers, the beat, music, Everything...
Memories of '72
When this song came out it was men worthy of that invitation. Good men.
I'm going to quote the great Cher, "getting old sucks". I'm in my 60's now and remember driving my Pinto with a moon roof listening to an 8 track tape of this song. God I WISH for those days AGAIN, Lord have mercy!!!!
Haven't heard this song in years, and I love it still.
This is sooo powerful and beautiful.
Brings back a lot of memories with your family. My mom and dad use to dance off this song.
This song brings back so many good memories. The 1970's.

Millie said things in her songs ,that a lot of women was thinking and wanted to do but didn't have the courage to do or say, but she expired a lot of us thanks queen God bless her.❤
One of 1972's best soul records.
This was the first track of Millie Jackson that I heard back in the 70's, before My Man is a Sweet Man. I know which track I prefer and which track should have been a hit x

My son was a young boy with an older man attitude he really loved this song. He passed away at an early age I love him so much and this song reminds me of him in fact he turned me on to this song. So son you're resting in heaven and dad still thinks about you just about every day. I find myself calling out your name to two of your brothers very often. I Love you son

On this day in 1972 {May 13th} Millie Jackson performed "Ask Me What You Want" on the Dick Clark ABC-TV network Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand'...
At the time the song was at position #36 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; four weeks later it would peak at #27 {for 1 week} and it spent 14 weeks on the Top 100...
Between 1972 and 1977 Ms. Jackson had eight Top 100 records, "Ask Me What You Want" was her biggest hit on the Top 100...
She did much better on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart were she had thirty-seven hits, six* made the Top 10 with "It Hurts So Good" being her biggest hit, it peaked at #3 in 1973...
Mildred Virginia Jackson will celebrate her 73rd birthday in two months on July 15th {2017}...
* She just missed having a seventh Top 10 record when "How Do You Feel the Morning After" peaked at #11 in 1974...
everytime i run this Song it takes me back to Growing Up in the BRONX & Catching ASMA ATTACKS & getting Rushed outta School cause way back then we didn't have 2Days Medical Technology, back then you catch an ASMA ATTACK as a Child they hold you over nite in the Hospital but this Century & Era if your Asma ain't that Bad they take care of you in 1 or so Hrs. & Send you home happy (LOL)
THOSE WAS DA MUTHA EFFIN DAYS (PERIOD)
lastyle craig People still die from asthma attacks. Only five years ago my cousin's husband collapsed on a bus on the way home from work. In order for medical aides and meds to work, we need to adopt a decent attitude toward their proper uses. The pumps and anti-histamines should always accompany the sufferer.
Sandra Papuni I TOTALLY AGREE, but you got me kinda confused right now when you say "WE NEED TO ADOPT A DECENT ATTITUDE"
i don't know if i should take the way you said that as a Lesson of Advice being given or some SNIVE COMMENT OF INSULT but wherever you
coming from with your point means nothing 2Me personally, i am BORN
& RAISED with it & am very Fortunate i am still alive, i've had my close
call Brushes with DEATH from ASMA & i always conduct a DECENT
ATTITUDE TOWARD PROPER USAGE & all my PUMPS & ANTI-HISTAMINES are always by my side & Disposal be it im SUFFERING OR NOT (PERIOD) ! ! !
lastyle craig There are different levels of suffering from any condition. In asthma some of us are triggered by natural environmental substances like pollen and bark dust, or agricultural sprays like high-cane we use in our orchards. All and all, it is an allergy to foreign substances which our immune system is too weak to combat. So my suffering is on and off. I have never sought medical advice specifically for asthma. I just purchase anti-histamines to combat the allergy, and control my breathing manually. We grew up on Forestry and orchards, so we were in the midst of substances. I've brought my kids to the city, but still live close to the agricultural community. We now have a society in New Zealand dealing with Asthma awareness. They weren't around in my youth so my generation never benefited.
As an infant my oldest son became bronchi, and I didn't hesitate to sought medical consultation for him. My children inspire me to adopt better attitude towards anything that's beneficial to them. I didn't have this attitude for myself.
A strong body is all about good food, exercise and relaxation. I'm the mother of five strong males. Their strength performs in their work and personal activities. I pride myself on this fact. The oldest is still the weaker in health of all of them, but he wouldn't be so, if he stopped smoking and started eating healthier food. He himself is the father of 3 beautiful girls - another blessing I thank God for.
But my son tends to feed his kids everything they want, where as I feed my kids what their bodies need. My kids never complain about my cooking, nor have they ever resisted anything I cook and bake.
UHhhhhh, Wowww . . . . OK?
me and my dad love it Thanks for making it 😘😘

SUPER SOUL SOUNDS
Millie Jackson is a "bad" sister from the peachtree state. She's "bad" good ('ask me what you want, and I'll try my best to get it'...), And "bad" bad when she's 'feelin' bitchy'. Always treat Southern ladies right, fellas. They're like the moon... they'll reflect your light back in your face. I love the begging over the b...hy Millie! She's tough and sweet and that's hard to beat!
