After playing through the main part of the demo level, I didn’t think I could be anymore hyped for this game. But my god this music playing during the boss fight got me even more excited for this game. It’s been on my radar since the game awards last December and playing the demo solidified that day 1 purchase. I know they’re working on if the are going to release the soundtrack but I’m really hoping they do. I won’t just stream it, I will purchase it. Digitally and physically if they release a physical version. This stuff needs to be supported. If it does well enough I would love to see additional levels with more vocalists added. There are so many I’d love to see in the game.

Even the 20 minute demo is one of the most saitsfying and fun games I've ever played, there really is nothing like a game where headbanging actually makes you better at the game.

Stygia is good, but man I love how hard this song punches. And in game, this song SO good with the dual hand cannons. Especially when you get the perfect hammer pull animations.
I like this song because it actually makes it really easy to keep track of the beat, which helps with bosses lol

Absolutely. Incredible just how distinct, brutal and brutal his mid range growl is yet the lyrics are still very clear and coherent. And his cleans just got better and better and better. A true living legend.

Another good rhythm based FPS shooter that I like is called BPM: Bullets Per Minute, but the first 2 songs in this demo have a slightly slower tempo to the songs in BPM. But the tempo in this song actually matched up with my muscle memory and I went from stumbling around to kicking ass instantly with just the small speed-up
Legit one of my favourite mechanics, each song allows for slightly different paced gameplay, fucking genius.
Really enjoyed the faster BPM during this boss fight, so satisfying with Persephone and the perfect reloads lol

@ Honestly, depending on how many levels the final build has, I'd say it would 100% be worth a full price
@@davidsphere43 I think it won't be a long game but the replay value is gonna be high. I played the demo for 20+ hours now. It's that addictive. Also as far as I know, you can replay levels with custom weapon loadout which adds to the replay value and speedrun / high-score strategy variety.
This is gonna be GOOD!

Just played the demo, and I am EXTREMELY exited for this games release! Banger music, super tight controls, and the rhythm mechanic works surprisingly well for a fps

I'm pretty sure it's not 'Below the pillars down' but instead 'Pull (all) the pillars down' because that sounds more correct and is more correct thematically and logically.

@@sussygussy5457 Not only from the music and gameplay standpoints, but the engine too. Unity is notorious for laggy and unoptimized games, and these developers did a fantastic job of maintaining a stable framerate especially with everything going on.
I've been looking at this game and thinking "There's only a few singers albeit great ones, they'll probably just do one song per vocalist and it'll end up being a great, but short game" but this is Mikael's second song isn't it? He does the tutorial level one too, right? So I'm hopefully well off with my thoughts and there'll actually be loads of levels!
yes he has 3 songs in total. only 2 are available in the demo
I still think there won't be that many levels. Hopefully, they'll be somewhat longer than Stygia. But I think the replay value is already very high. And if they'll add some challenge modes and other things, then it's gonna worth it for sure! I'm very curious.
I think even if the game will be short, the competition for high scores will make the player base active. I really hope there will be some anti-cheat though. Would be disappointing to see impossible scores. Also I know they are reworking the scoring system for very obvious reasons, I hope it's gonna be good!

Not bad...Mikael Stanne still sounds good after all these years!! i honestly never heard him do a full song with just harsh vocals and that is different because his cleans are really good.
A lot of his songs past and present are pure harsh. nowadays albums tend to have a lot of cleans but you can still find pure harsh vocal songs, especially older albums

I loved that whole album and the 2 before that. I didnt know they have been around since the early 90s? maybe? I still havent been through all their stuff!!
@@paladinminipedro707 For my money the period going from 1994("Of Chaos and Eternal Night") to 2009("Where Death is Most Alive") is when Dark Tranquillity sounded the most like themselves. Plenty of variety within that time span too(the album "Projector" is one Stanne's best performances with clean vocals ever). I will say though, if songs similar to this one make it into the band's actual catalog, it would be quite a return to form.

I am a hardcore Christian and I love this specifically for it's anti-demonic message. Whole soundtrack is amazing, but this is my favorite because of that.

My wet dream is for this game to have some sort of functionality where you can port in songs then map the beat to it, then play it on like, a Freeplay horde mode. Imagine Udoroth in this game.
If im not mistaken it's made in unreal engine. That thing is utterly garbage when it comes to modding everything breaks so easily and it's garbage on its own
And I doubt the developer will do something like this officially out of reason for licenses.
Theoretically it wouldn't even be hard, since all you'd need to do is import a song and have the tempo/beats sync up. You wouldn't have the individual stages that you get form the fury, but would still be sick af!
Sadly, as @Gay Mohammed said, it really depends on the engine and how willing the devs are to make it work.

I've been extracting the game's music myself for a fan-project I'm working on, putting all the tracks together piece by piece. [(I'm assuming this is what you had to do also and, if so, my respect for you has soared (because a few tracks are pains in the ass to arrange correctly xD)]

if you want to extract the music yourself use an FSB extractor tool like Fmod Bank Tools or use foobar2000 with vgmstream plugin.
