Man…. and people were dunking on the SH monster arts version for the right reasons, but this ….is an entirely different BREED 🗿 (Super7 can definitely do better)
Just got this figure tonight. Have the SHMA. So relieved that I don’t have to worry about dorsal fins popping out or snapping. Had so much fun posing the S7. A much more enjoyable experience.
The renders were too good to be true (especially for super7) so I wanted to wait on in hand before trying to snag one…ya this is a definite pass. Better off paying less for that cheap Bandai articulated minus one than this. In my opinion
To be fair, it still looks good, in my opinion. At least the face looks better than the face of the Monsterarts version, which I still think is a good figure despite its problems.
@@andrewsouthworth9730 it’s not horrible but it’s definitely not worth the price and just continues to show that supers7 renders are nothing close to the final product. The faces of both ShMonsterarts and super7 are not great compared to promotional ones but at least articulation, sculpt and paint are better on the ShMonsterarts. If this was half the price they are charging, I’d say it’s great…but at this price? Not worth it, in my opinion
I'm honestly glad I went with SHMA rather than this. Though I don't like the monster price, but this figure screams "You get what you paid for" ngl. The gloss finish looks fantastic, but it feels kinda wasted on a figure who seems to have a lot of issues, not counting the bent fin tips, cause it looks like a hair dryer may fix those or hot water. Way more forgiving than a chipped Dorsal fin out of the box, SHMA. Can't wait for you to take a look at the K.O. SHMA -1.0 Goji though.
Same here. My personal copy is nigh perfect. I preordered the regular Super 7 figure on the promise of those early 3D renders; glad I wound up canceling it.
The eyes are the only thing that bothers me but honestly for $85 I'll take it over the SHMA one. Sure it's not nearly as articulated as the SHMA but it's what I'd expect from an S7 Ultimate based on their track record. Add on this is the ONLY articulated Minus One outside of SHMA and there's really no other choice that doesn't involve paying 2x-3x the MSRP for the SHMA.
My problem with super 7 is that there figures look cheap. Like some of them just don’t look to good. Like this one has extremely glossy paint. And they also cost 85 dollars or more. Hiya is 50 and there figures almost never have problems like this
Ditching the slipcover makes sense. I saw the NYC Kinokuniya store and others toss the slips after a while, because customers have no idea what’s inside (and these Super7 figures are still hard to sell)
Honestly the eyes being a bit derpy is fine if you look at the movie model the eyes always looked abit derpy, but the paint just looks so bad is it so hard to give the figure a matte top coat?
@@HarryPNass7 The Super7 one is similar to the SH one, only bigger and with ugly eyes. The SH one has an ugly face but has better range of articulation and joints as such. I will wait for Hiya to announce its Minus One.
I have both the Super7 and the SHMA. I would say the SHMA easily clears the S7. Obviously the SHMA has issues with its QC with eyes, but the S7 also has that and the teeth somehow manage to be worse
The SHMA version is a considerably better figure if you get a really good copy. I got one off Amazon that is probably as pristine as you’ll see with the standard version, and I absolutely love, probably my personal favorite new figure of the year that I *own*. That said, unless you can find one for a good price, you’re likely out of luck on the standard SHMA Minus One, and would have to look at either the Minus Color variant, or hope the atomic breath version comes to more territories. I wouldn’t wait on the possibility of a Hiya release, especially considering how long it takes for their new figures to actually release after the initial reveal.
Shma and super7 are both really good. If you wanna save money and have bigger figure, super7. Shma is probably better but both are good. Super7 also has better eyes most the time.
SHMA clears no diff, it looks like a bootleg, glad I got a lucky SHMA Minus One, just the wrist, the teeth, jaws, head, eyes, claws look awful on this Super7 just can't get me interested in them
It's good for Super7, not too great in comparison to others like Hiya or Banpresto. Overall, its really not bad, but it's could've been better. At least the head sculpt is more accurate than SHMA.
The eyes being censored in the thumbnail makes so much sense.
I don’t get it
@@DylanDiaz-hc3dw 13:24 The eyes are so goofy

Remember when people were hyping up those previews of this figure... they're missing. Along with the details this figure was suppose to have lol
I gotta say the eyes look pretty good! Then again it may vary figure to figure.
It definitely does. The eyes on my minus color figure look pretty good compared to what was shown in his previous video on it.
They look nothing like the previews everyone was hyping up.
The closed mouth one has a bit of an side eye. Faces are not bad but they definitely could’ve done way better in the teeth doe.

Yeah minus color is a hole lot better. Especially after I customized and gave it white eyes and some flicks of white on the rest of the body.
Damn Super7 did very well with Minus One, now lets see if Hiya goes for the swing
It's in their plans but by the time they announce it (hopefully in 2025) but it then takes more than a year for it to release
after seeing some reviews. I cancelled my order cause I dont like the glossy look and was worried it would be that way and they did it that way
Hey I really appreciate the close ups!
They’re not the worst eyes, but they’re certainly not $80 eyes.
For a glossy godzilla, Display him with boats. Looks like a sea battle
