Why do you feel like you’re the only mfer playing this game dude. Everyone was saying magna was busted but knew how to work around it. We know how to read champ. We all knew the same time as you did…
He does this alot. Probably because of his ego. I mean everyone could see that Bt16 Nume was a threat if not the best deck in the Format
Really the problem is a lot of decks are gatekeeped by magnamon X that would otherwise beat numemon so the only decks than can survive the meta are decks that can Handel both numemon and magna X
Also another thing to add is people are expecting magnamon x so it's the most tested opponent this format
Still took the other half of the tournament, without numemon its the best deck for a landslide. Also numemon was created as magna x counter. Still the boogieman
As a nume x player, I had no problems facing magna x in my evo cup this week. Unfortunately, I got second losing to a mirror, but he showed me the power of ex5 etemon, so it was a good experience.

Yup Ex5 Etemon -> Taunt and -3k DP, next turn opponent swings (because they're forced too) then Blast into Valkyrimon -5k DP and remove an 8k or lower mon. It's a simple yet effective play
I never found magnamon x to be a broken card. Numemon x however? In what world should greymon x be at one while numemon x is at four?
IMO, the nume part of the deck isn’t an issue. It’s the ukko engine that’s ran in it. The tempo and pressure they get is too great. With the back up of nume when they run out of eggs/can’t rush anymore.
I think this just shows how Japan being BO1 and the rest of the world being BO3 greatly impacts the power of decks when they're imported over. Magna X is strong, no doubt, but having to be consistent at least twice in a round makes a difference.
Luke copied from my list and I was wrong that one of the armors was a numemon. It was the online playtcg. We did get 50% numemon.
I also topped with numemon since I still think numemon is bdif but we should get more mirage in the format.

Most of the reason isnt because numes just better, its because rapidx and magnax are to hard too find. Ive got local players who cant finish there decks because no one in the area within 2-3 hours of them because every store got shorted there supply and the people who did pull some wont trade them so they can finish there deck. AND this is all before a regional in 2 weeks. Think even the online regionals had even less time to get them. Sure you could expidite shipping but. I dont know if many people want to fork over $300+ dollars to hope they get there stuff in time and have a new deck that they have to learn, intead they just went with cheap, already tested decks that would be possibly better against the people that did get there stuff. Just give it a month or 2 and youll start seeing more results

Magnamon X IS the problem. The reason so many people played Numemon is because it's one of the few decks that can deal with Magnamon X because of Monzaemon X's lingering DP reduction. Notice that 3/4 of the tops were Numemon or Magnamon X, and you'll realize they BOTH need to be hit. If you hit Numemon without hitting Magnamon X, nothing will stop Magnamon X. Also, keep in mind, the set had only been out a week, and people who wanted to play Magnamon X couldn't, whether because of availability of product or the price barrier.

I mean, yeah. MagnaX was never going to cause a tier 0 format.
However, how is going from 11 to 12 different decks down to 6 to 8, not a MagnaX problem? MagnaX gatekeeps a ton of decks from being playable including all the decks that would be gatekeeping the Nume decks. Nume is only doing this well because MangaX is protecting it.
This is nowhere near the level of, "I told you so," you seem to think it is.

Only reason numemon is over represented is because it is ONE of two decks with a good matchup into magna x, other being mirage.
If magna wasn't so busted and didn't warp the entire format around himself, this would not be a problem.

Magnamon X-Antibody is super strong, but its not busted. There are too many ways to get a round it. Like the Etemon/Valkyrimon Ace combo.

@LaIslaFileTCG or because it is a game warping meta defining card, they should be limited. The speed and consistency to the decks that can run the full package (and were already good) are almost unrivaled, almost demanding digimon emperor as the only card to kinda counter it.
Blue also has some of the strongest ace digimon to out magna X also. The blue flare deck was using 3 zudo and 2 vike. So the combination of good aces and ukkomon hard carry the deck it seems.
Sadly this is the Digimon game. The games getting faster and faster and people complaining don’t get it. Banning Ukko won’t stop the deck. They will just print more cards that do more. If they do ban a card it will be the Nume X to stop the floating. Ukko would be limited already.
How do we know that about the blue flare list? Is it posted anywhere I neeeeeed to see it
I feel like part of this isn’t exactly indicative of the format yet, the barrier to entry for the deck is super expensive, whether you’re going the vaccine route or armors route. I think this will be more justified as we keep progressing in the format if it stays this way.- hoping the format is a healthy one though!
I don't think the BT16 meta is fair. Numemon is a big problem. It can't be that every major tournament is won by Numemon. This weekend alone is crazy. We also had a relatively large tournament yesterday with around 70 people. In the top 8, there were 5x Numemon, 1x Mirage, 1x Imperialdramon, and 1x Vaccine. In the top 4, there was only Numemon left. Or should I say Ukko Rush? I think or rather hope that Ukkomon will simply be limited or banned. I think that Numemon will still be very strong but not broken anymore and won't be able to kill someone easily by turn 3

I feel like the format is overly centalized between Magnamon X and Numemon right now, especially compared to last format.
There are of course counters, but you kind of need to have a way to handle Numemon X/Ukkomon and Magnamon X to have a good shot.
It gatekeeps certain archetypes but not sure if that's honestly good or bad.
Buddy you can't say the format is balanced when the majority of tops is numemon and magnamon with some mirages as well. The reason why numemon tops is because magna gatekeeps the decks that counter numemon.
1 regionals does not a format make. However, Nume does well because it goes wide and Magna can't really handle going wide with sticky swingers
Nume is a good deck that can be pretty budget if you don't have deathX or chaos mode. With those two the control and swarm game is a solid counter to Magna and other decks that were coming. Its no wonder its everywhere!

@@ThisIsUprising blue has more draw at the risk of losing your boss monster, and while yellow can near constantly activate the effect it lacks the draw.

I'm a member and I can see your deck lists that you post but I really enjoy you commentary (I do read your commentary but its nicer hearing it) as you go through them. Also, can you please speculate on potential ban/restricted list updates? I want to buy Ukkomon AAs but Im scared that they will be restricted in the next list.
