thank you, man!! My tracks are actually just reworks of Black Hill's original songs. And for me, his guitar is better than my piano on that one :-) Anyway, I enjoyed a lot doing this re-writing process.
+heklAa I honesty thought they were supposed to be complimentary of the originals. but ive been listening to guitar my whole life, and while the effects on his guitar create a dreamy atmosphere, your piano creates a much more captivating experience. i can more easily ground your covers in reality. like in the first song, I feel like I'm in the study of an ancient castle, alone, and surrounded by dim candlesticks that are nearly burned out while I roam the room. or in mu, I imagine taking a taxi to my favorite museum, in a large city, during a steady rainfall. From the south of south america, I have climbed the hill, i’ve watched the rivers and shores, the animals, the people going to work and back. It was a great hour of my life. Thank you. January the 18th, 2022.
I've listened to this so many times over the years, but I've never really thought to comment - but right now I'm awake in the nights and sleeping in the day, and this is really hitting the spot. Being awake when the world around you is asleep can leave you feeling weirdly lonely, and that's not just bad as it can be very calming; and this music is kind of embodying that solemn contentment. But generally speaking, the melodies in this album are stunning. Every time I listen to it I'm impressed by the progression. I swear whoever made this must have been in a transcendent state the whole damn time
Well, transcendent state, I don't know! But I remember that I felt quite inspired with Black Hill's music and that I needed only 2 or 3 days to rework his songs and record the piano tracks. Anyway, thank you very much for your words, they do mean a lot to us!
I'll review the first song in my comment. Black Hill and HeklAa - Yamuna - I have a feeling that this is music made for musicians. The layers play so well with each other for tempo, as it shifts from which part has the melody, which has the harmony. I won't say it is complicated in musicality, and that is a compliment. I asked my partner, who isn't a musician, and to her it was "chill yet unintelligible" She didn't quite "get it" I had to explain it to her in layman terms so she could understand the parts the various instruments played with each other. I truly appreciate this album overall, thank you so much for making it!
This record has become integral to my current life. When I arrived at my university, which is situated far away from my home, it served as the backdrop for my profoundly sorrowful bus journey. And to this day, it continues to assist me greatly in my studies. Thank you for create such art
Since discovering this album, I have listened to it many times. It is my go to album for chilling out during 5o'clock traffic, writing essays, writing anything really, drawing, and/or doing art. The compositional quality is profoundly beautiful and it is very easy to be inspired by this masterpiece. Thank you so much for sharing the gift of your music with us all. Back in october of 22, me and my family went to look at 20 acres of raw land out about 4 miles from town. Place was an untouched garden. A good amount of trees for Cedar Timber, a stream and a small ravine, fantastic views of the bay, beautiful. 1/4 of it could be used for an entire orchard. I envisioned building my life there, all i needed was $10k more, coulda made the down payment. Whole thing sold to a developer in march. Whole family cried. I listened to this track back when we first saw the property. Makes me think of the place i coulda had.

Fantastic! THIS is what I've been yearning for. So tired of all these bands that say "let's write 10 beautiful songs and ruin each one by building up to a cringe-worthy cacophony of noise at the end of each one." This is a stunning album!
I don't know why and how but the very first time I listened to this it felt like I already heard every single piece. Yet it still feels original and beautiful at the same time.
Earlier this year, I spent several days solo hiking up a mountain near where I live from a river that a lot of its streams feed into. This music captures that vibe pretty well.

This album and tales of the night forest was one of my first experiences with post rock and I often return to relive some of those memories. Boy am I glad to hear this one.
Black Hill & heklAa such beautiful music...Thank you for this
Been listening to this album for the past week, I have to listen to it full at least once a day haha amazing album, thanks for sharing!!
I absolutely love this on its own. I also found out today while writing that it plays beautifully with Cryo Chamber's Forgotten Forests and Endless Mountains, if you start and play them at the same time. I had Rivers & Shores a little quieter than Forgotten Forests so the gentle melodies blended under the calls of the birds.
