Abbey Smith Lol, no, sorry. “Vain” is an adjective and can never be used as a noun. “Vein” is appropriate in this scenario. Maybe you need to do some research.
I think the best reason to have posted this video, is the possibility of helping someone else out. Giving them the knowledge of not having small holes in their tanks, it also shows more into your character, and how much you tried and cared for him :3
This video was sweet. All pets should be loved and cared for. You tried to help Charlie, but I think he was too weak from his stressful situation. Catherine and her husband were great when they stopped by your place. Thank you three for giving Charlie a loving send-off.
Woods, this is why I love to watch your videos so much, you can make weird videos that are fun for you and not care what anyone thinks, you really are my favorite youtuber
Way to go trying to save charlie! Just fyi if you get another betta you should keep it in a heated and filtered tank at least 5 gallons. Its better for them. Its like us living in a house rather than a car. (I dont mean to be condescending. Im sure charlie had a good life.)
Ohhh noooo Didn't think it looked good when charlie wasn't moving his tail at all when you were trying. Poor fishy. You're seriously the sweetest thing woodland!
Awwww. Sorry about Charlie. Can I just say I love how Catherine's husband is just down for whatever y'all do. Him just standing there with that net waiting. Too sweet.
Poor Charlie. 😢 Thank you for trying to save him. And thank you Catherine and Jacob for helping Woods feel better. I'm hoping the new fish fill the emptiness in your house again.
Aww, I'm sorry, Woods. Thanks for posting this, though. I've had several betas throughout my life and never knew this. Definitely something to keep in mind. No holes...
Got done with school just in time! Perfect timing Woods. Man, sorry to hear about Charlie, sucks when you can't successfully rescue an animal. Great way to say goodbye to him.
What a roller coaster of emotions. RIP Charlie, you were the first fish I ever felt sad about. At least Woods know that he has great friends in Kat and Jacob, so sweet of them to go to Charlie’s Viking send off.
I really appreciate how much time and effort you put in to try and save him and how much importance you place on taking care of the things you make a commitment to. This is such an important message.
Woods is my favorite member of hi5 studios he has the best personality and I love his videos I can’t wait for more to come out and yes I know this is for you but you doing you is fun and nice to watch
Dear Charlie, you were a very special fish. You shared a name with many wonderful creatures: Charlie Brown, Charlie Puth, Charlie Horse, etc. You were there for Woods when others could not be. One thing that defined you was your playful curiosity. How fitting that that would be what ultimately led to your untimely demise. When you swam into that handle, you knew that you could be risking your life, but you did it anyway because you were not scared to take a risk. You knew that there was a possibility that you could make it out and you could not risk letting that opportunity slip through your -fingers- fins. That. That is what made you special. Goodbye Charlie. We will miss you.
Woods, you did good. You looked after him for as long as you could and made him a part of your life. I also have fish. Rescued them from an old work place. 2 goldfish and 1 catfish. I'm happy to have them in my life too
I have a female bearded dragon. Two years ago she had eggs she couldn’t pass. I tried everything. Finally, I took her to the vet and he suggested we wait 2 more days. If she didn’t pass them, he’d have to do surgery. She didn’t, and he did. Almost $1000 dollars later, she was good to go. No more eggs to worry about after her dragon hysterectomy! You’ll do anything for your pets! I totally understand.
I'm sorry that happened and I'm so glad you actually posted this for young people watching who don't realize the responsibility that comes with any animal. Also, about Petco..they killed mine and my sisters' guinea pigs when we were younger. We got them from Petco when I was in elementary school I believe? We bought their bedding there, and we decided to try a new bedding one day, this was awhile after having them and I can't remember how long we had them before Petco killed them, but the bedding we bought was a cedar type wood chip labeled for small animals with guinea pigs featured ON THE FRONT OF THE PACKAGE and it said it was safe for cages with small animals. Well, not long after they got sick, so we thought because of the sniffles and runny nose they got that they had a cold, this was before all of the research and internet material was so widely available, so we put a towel over top their cage hoping to keep them warm..well they got sicker, as we were driving to the vet, one died on the way, and one at the vet. The vet told us it was the bedding we had bought and the fumes from cedar are toxic to them. So when we added the towel, it kept fumes in further..we took the bedding after all this back to Petco in person, told the manager what happened and that they shouldn't be selling it and they pretty much said they couldn't take it off the shelves and it wasn't his call...we're like..so you're not even going to try and get this off the shelves??? It made us so angry, that after knowing they were selling something toxic to the demographic they were selling it to, they still wouldn't remove it...Absolutely insane how money comes before the safety of animals of any kind. It still makes me angry to this day.
I want to say that was ridiculous and dumb BUT it was so heartwarming and thoughtful. A sweet sweet effort by a sweet man. Thank you Woods, for being you!
"They're probably calling Petco." xD I know I'm super late to the party (thanks UA-cam recommendations) but RIP Charlie. What I'm about to say is just some education since we are talking about responsibility. Minimum tank size for bettas I would recommend being at LEAST 5 gallons. Some will use 3 gallons. I prefer at least 10 gallons for my own bettas. Don't use plastic decorations. There are plenty of low light plants you can buy. They will greatly appreciate it to hide in, to sleep on, to swim through. Bettas can rip their fins easily on plastic decorations and get cuts. With a fish that is already so stressed, I would NOT show it another male. Flaring once in awhile is fine. Doing it too much stresses them out. Stress weakens immunity. I'm proud of you for trying. You're a really great person. And they are great friends for bringing you new fish. However, same with bettas, I would get a bigger tank if you still have these guppies (I'm assuming not, with such a small tank and two males- and even if one was a female). Guppies are live bearers. They are like rabbits of the aquatic world. You will either a) deal with overcrowding due to hundreds of babies, b) deal with the males nipping at each other, or c) the male will go after the female to mate so much that she will get stressed and die. If you want guppies, I'd suggest just males and at least 7, with plenty of plants/driftwood/decorations to break line of sight in case a few males are nippier than the others so they can hide and relax a bit. And always make sure thank is big enough and not overstocked. Make sure you know the nitrogen cycle. Too small of a tank with too many fish and water quality will cause death pretty quick. You'll have ammonia spikes among other issues. That means it's burning the fish, it's causing stress, it's weakening them, will cause disease and they will die. Fish are wonderful, bettas are great. Full of personality. I've never had one that was quite like any other I've had. Smart, too. You can train them to do tricks (they will swim through hoops, eat from you, chase laser light on rocks, play with a ping pong ball, etc. Like people, bettas can get bored. They have little mirror toys that are great, but again, I would just put in for a few minutes occasionally because too much flaring/stress isn't good. They have floating logs and leaves you can put in that the betta will sleep on near the surface (but again, instead of the plastic betta leaf hammock, I'd suggest live plants-they make great beds). Anyway, sorry about the novel xD I just want to be sure what happened to Charlie doesn't happen to you again. To some, they are just a fish, but fish get some seriously underrated credit. They are pretty cool. So many different colors, shapes, sizes, personalities, etc. The best form of responsibility is to just do your research beforehand. Make sure everything is set up and ready, the fish has enough space, has the proper food, proper tank mates, etc. Make sure you do enough water changes to keep the water parameters right. There are cheap, easy to use test kits out there. The strips are okay, but... I prefer the api test kit. Brings some more science into it. Who doesn't want to add water and chemicals to a tiny glass vial, shake it up and check colors? For real, though, you did all you could. And that was more than a lot of people would have. I'm sure Charlie was very happy to be your fish
Rest In Peace Charlie! You will be missed! Also, love the mini Viking funeral. So sweet and adorable. Very touching video and I’m sorry you lost your fish.
Rip Charlie , he is in a better place now. I am away on vacation currently and I am away from my cat I love her so much and I am so sorry for your loss woods losing a pet is very hard I have never lost a pet but just being away from my cat is hard . I hope your doing ok now Charlie . ( and you too woods )
I am sorry for your loss Wood's, but am in awe of how far you went to try and save your pet fish, pets are a part of the family and you did everything within your power, and your friends seem awesome and supportive which is also great.
I feel so bad that you lost your favorite fish and that you made the most coolest funeral i have ever seen. I know you loved Charlie very much and he was a great fish but someday he had to go and that day was the day you filmed the video! In loving memory of Charlie!!!!
RIP Charlie. Your tenacity is admirable. You're an inspiration to us all. Also 10/10 I'm totally giving my bettas viking funerals when they go. Nice touch 👍
My son and I watched this and we almost cried. R.I.P Charlie. I had a Betta once get stuck in a castle decoration. Luckily, I was able to get him out though. Sorry Charlie wasn't so lucky - but at least you tried.
Not ashamed to say I teared up watching this😂 Funny enough I also had a beta fish named Charlie, he died when I put him in a bigger tank. in my defense I was like 8 but still very upset with myself about it.
RIP Charlie I just got a Betta fish, only a few days ago actually, and I think he already recognizes me as the person who feeds him. At first I thought I was just deluding myself into thinking he recognized me, but I might not be insane after all if Bettas are really that smart. Don’t worry, he is far from any small holes.😂
Woods, you're awesome. Thanks for being real and sharing your life with us. Sorry about your fish. Every pet is part of the family. (Hence my desire to buy the horses that I have been training for three and a half years.)
I had a betta recently named Jermaine (looked just like the one from Archer that Pam had). When Irma came through he was needing a water change and the water I used for him was sold out everywhere and became price gouged online. Tried using another type because he needed to get out of the dirty water and his filters were not gonna cut it until his water came back in stock. He ended up dying because the water ended up having such a low oxygen level he drowned (or suffocated? Not sure which is right). Even a fish, it hurts to lose a pet. But in that process I found out with strange conditions for fish, sometimes going to a professional fish seller can get you more help. I hope your new little buddies will help fill the hole Charlie left behind
I don’t know if I should laugh at the remarks that were made or to cry cause Charlie was an amazing fish, he made one mistake and it was downhill from there! Just keep swimming Charlie!
That betta should have a heater and a filter and at LEAST a 5 gallon tank.... Nevermind that you had decor that could tear his fins or that he could get stuck in... DON'T follow advice from Petco to its fullest. Take it with a grain of salt. They don't always have the best interests of the fish in mind. They're a big box store and make money off fish sales. U are such a warm hearted person R.I.P Charlie rest in peace little buddy we’ll miss you! Well ur GONA have a good time in heaven atleast! Rock on Charlie!
This is such a sweet video! It reminds of the two goldfish I use to have. They lasted for a couple of months. I never gave them names, but I will always remember them for staying with me that whole time XD
Woods, it's about having heart in it whatever you do and you did, for the parts you guys laughed, I know it's hard take it in sometimes but just how its sounds makes it yeah.. you know. Kinda funny. But getting a pet young, you dont think of him or her as a brother or your child or best friend, in this life it's hard to see what to make sometimes but creating a family is just.. beautiful.👌
That was really sweet.. the pet store you bought him at should have told you how betas can get stuck in small wholes when you purchased him, but now you know and have spread the word to save other betas from a similar fate
Charlie is swimming around in the fishy clouds NOT getting stuck in any poorly made objects. The way you sent him off is exactly what he would’ve wanted... IF he had the capacity to want. RIP Charlie
When my couch's fish passed away, when I was in my junior year, we had a big send off. A couple of us went to go get matches and flowers, we made a hunt/boat out of matches, placed it in water, and put the flowers around it. Then we set it on fire, like Vikings, and played in "In the Arms of Angel." It was sad, but funny years later.
I used to have fish. I loved them lots. This video is making me happy because there is a fish in it. Also Charlie is very cute. I am sad now that Charlie did not make it. But Woods did what he could do so I am not mad at him. Røze and Jacob are so nice from bringing Woods new fishies!
Woah, this was in my recommended. I clicked and became so invested in this video. Sucks things didn't work out, but way to go for trying!!! The eulogy was the best I've ever heard!
Oh man, I'm so sorry about your fish :( My dad and me have a lot of birds in the garden. Even though it's a lot of them, everytime one of them dies, I get really really sad.
First part of the video: this is actually kind of funny
“And Charlie died”
oh, this is depressing
RIP Charlie
This is the most wholehearted thing I have ever seen, woods your a great guy.
you're*
Vein*
Pample_Mousse actually vein is referring to a blood vein or a vein of water or resource. vain was the correcting spelling and use
Abbey Smith Lol, no, sorry. “Vain” is an adjective and can never be used as a noun. “Vein” is appropriate in this scenario. Maybe you need to do some research.
Aww RIP Charlie. And Catherine and Jacob are the best
R.I.P Charlie you will always be remembered. Fish make life betta....
i just got what you wrote because he was a betta fish lol
Tell me why the container the fish is in says “lunch.”
shhhh...
Because he turned into it in the end fish fillet Rip Charlie
That was probably the coolest fish funeral I've ever seen
I was rooting for Charlie the whole time, now I gotta go hug my cats. Sorry to hear man, but the video was great and touching.

Ohhh noooo

Awwww. Sorry about Charlie. Can I just say I love how Catherine's husband is just down for whatever y'all do. Him just standing there with that net waiting. Too sweet.
The fact that a grown man cares this much about a fish is actually the most wholesome thing ever. Rip Charlie.
Poor Charlie. 😢 Thank you for trying to save him. And thank you Catherine and Jacob for helping Woods feel better. I'm hoping the new fish fill the emptiness in your house again.

Bettas have really sensitive fins. If people are thinking about getting a betta, make sure to get little decorations that don't have any sharp edges.
Rest well charlie you were well loved & remembered ❤️❤️❤️
How the heck can you make me FEEL with humor and kindness and a flipping adorable Betta fish?
BE WOODS, NO OTHER WAY!!!!!
Best vlog I seen dedicated to a pet. May Charlie rest in peace, he will always be loved ❤
Woods is my favorite member of hi5 studios he has the best personality and I love his videos I can’t wait for more to come out and yes I know this is for you but you doing you is fun and nice to watch
Agreed! Woods has this thing that just makes you want to hang around with him... Even for a fish funeral! 🤗
RIP Charlie
Sorry about your loss. It's simply amazing how attached to Bettas you get. You did Charlie proud.

spilled my coffee on: 'Charlie was a smart guy... he's got stuck in the hole...' :D

Yes another vlog With Woods
Edit: I expected this video to be happy I was totally wrong by the end. RIP Charlie

Never really thought that I would get so sad over a cute little fishy. This video moved my heart.😂Rest in peace Charlie
Watching your videos while stoned is a whole different experience... I’ve watched this twice already... please post more 😭❤️
Rip Charlie , he is in a better place now. I am away on vacation currently and I am away from my cat I love her so much and I am so sorry for your loss woods losing a pet is very hard I have never lost a pet but just being away from my cat is hard . I hope your doing ok now Charlie .
( and you too woods )
Nice music...staring to cry “You got that net?” 😂 I LOVE THESE NEW LOGS WOODS!
This may be the only video about a fish on the internet that actually made me laugh and then cry. Rest in peace Charlie the fearless beta fish
I don't ever think I have been so emotion towards a fish. Rest in peace Charlie. F for respect

I'm so lucky to have you as one of my favorite youtubers woods
This is the best fish funeral I've ever seen. Sorry about Charlie, he seemed like a good companion.
RIP Charlie
I just got a Betta fish, only a few days ago actually, and I think he already recognizes me as the person who feeds him. At first I thought I was just deluding myself into thinking he recognized me, but I might not be insane after all if Bettas are really that smart. Don’t worry, he is far from any small holes.😂
That was sweet that they brought you new fish. Their really good friends! 😊
Woods, you're awesome. Thanks for being real and sharing your life with us. Sorry about your fish. Every pet is part of the family. (Hence my desire to buy the horses that I have been training for three and a half years.)
PS - hope your new fish are doing well!
Aw sorry about Charlie hope it gets better woods love the video.
Wow that’s so sad. Poor guy. I like the send off you gave him. Sorry for your loss 🦉💜
lowkey the most wholesome video about a fish.
I'm sorry! I love that you took the time to make this blog. Everyone needs amazing friends like Catharine and Jacob.
I had a goldfish that lived over seven years. He’d jump out of the water when I walked by. Loved that dude.
Awww! So sweet of you to try so hard to save him. Sorry it didn't work. Nice send off you gave him!
How could this wholehearted amazing person be involved with Syphus?
Any other issues with your fish I recommend a forum called FishLore. It's the best place to learn and ask questions.
Much love to you Woods. I'm sorry about Charlie.
U are such a warm hearted person R.I.P Charlie rest in peace little buddy we’ll miss you! Well ur GONA have a good time in heaven atleast! Rock on Charlie!
sorry for your loss but you are awesome for trying so hard to save him. you are a great person. and you are so sweet.
But getting a pet young, you dont think of him or her as a brother or your child or best friend, in this life it's hard to see what to make sometimes but creating a family is just.. beautiful.👌
You are the best person ever and may Charlie Rest In Peace
I got teary eyed at the end.
this video wasn't what I expected.
RIP Charlie 😓
RIP Charlie... Keep up the great work Woods!
I'm sorry Woods, but this video had me laughing! Also, I love your creativity with the little viking boat!
I'm like hugging my iguana and fcrying, poor Charlie and that was nice of Catherine and Jacob getting you 2 new ones
I really watched all of this, and loved every second of it. RIP Charlie
That was really sweet.. the pet store you bought him at should have told you how betas can get stuck in small wholes when you purchased him, but now you know and have spread the word to save other betas from a similar fate
This video turned extra real quick and I'm here for it.
this was the most wholesome thing i've seen in my entire life, but now I'm regretting not giving all my fish proper viking send-offs
This was one of the sweetest, oddest, cutest, things I’ve ever witnessed, I mean the funeral, not Charlie dying
Charlie is swimming around in the fishy clouds NOT getting stuck in any poorly made objects. The way you sent him off is exactly what he would’ve wanted... IF he had the capacity to want. RIP Charlie
Emotional video! I was really hoping he’d make it out 😔 you tried your best woods! X
Sorry you lost Charlie man... I hope you keep this solo vlog stuff going, you’re awesome bro
That was the sweetest farewell I have ever seen!
Rip Charlie! I’m sorry for your loss Woods. 2 years ago but I feel you bro!
That speech though 🙌🏻👏🏻 RIP Charlie! I felt bad for laughing so much during this very emotional video! 😂😭
The Viking Funeral got me... Dang it Woods this hurt my feels but it was also a wholehearted video ;(
Rest in peace Charlie, heaven needed a hero.
Yess! Love these videos, Woods is so fun to watch in his natural state lol.
the fact that charlie was in a box with 'lunch' written on it is just 💀
rip charlie :(
So sorry about Charlie. Well done for trying Woods
RIP Charlie 💔 the Viking send off was perfect.
This was actually sad. R.I.P Charlie
Woah, this was in my recommended. I clicked and became so invested in this video. Sucks things didn't work out, but way to go for trying!!!
The eulogy was the best I've ever heard!
Oh man, I'm so sorry about your fish :(
My dad and me have a lot of birds in the garden. Even though it's a lot of them, everytime one of them dies, I get really really sad.
I am very sorry about your fish! That has to be the coolest fish funeral pire ever!
