  • Vitamin D is crucial, almost like a hormone, given its pivotal role in bone health, brain function, heart health, and immunity. While the suggested daily intake hovers around 400-800 units, I contend that this falls short. In fact, I advocate for a much higher dosage of 10,000 units daily for most individuals. However, it's imperative to be cautious because excessive vitamin D intake can lead to toxicity. This condition manifests through symptoms such as hypercalcemia, nausea, weakness in muscles and bones, tingling sensations, overall weakness, and increased thirst and urination. Treatment involves ensuring proper hydration and potentially supplementing with vitamin K2, magnesium, zinc, and B6. #allthingsmedical #health #doctor
