What HAPPENED to Harry, Ron and Hermione AFTER the Series Ended?

- Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today we’re going to be diving in to the lives of the fabled trio, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley AFTER the events of the final book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
After the dust settled and the battle with Voldemort came to an end, the Wizarding world celebrated the triumph of good over evil. Voldemort's downfall had a profound impact on the Wizarding world, effectively bringing an end to a dark era characterized by the absence of hope and replacing it with a renewed sense of optimism.
However, it also marked the beginning of an uncharted chapter in wizarding world history.
And because the books and films ended, we never really got many insights in to HOW the Wizarding World rebuilt itself. And more specific to todays’ topic, we weren’t given any further information on what the lives of our beloved trio looked like in the aftermath of the war.
We were given a brief epilogue that gave us a GLIMPSE in to their lives 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts- but besides that, nothing else. All we get to see are the main characters gathered at Platform 9¾ as they see off their own children to Hogwarts.
But this leaves a pretty large gap in time- 19 years to be exact- that’s relatively uncharted.
Today, I'd like to provide you with some information on what transpired with the trio during these relatively unexplored two decades following the war. From their personal to their professional lives, this video is going to cover it all.

Well, as everyone in the great hall had just witnessed Harry dispatch Voldy to his final reward, I seriously doubt anyone would deny him a position as an auror, regardless of his level of education or training. Why would he need to return for his 7th year? In just six years, he'd had enough education for a lifetime.
Especially when he had received what amounted to extra credit training on at least one occasion-he learned how to cast the Patronus Charm in his third year and that was at least a N.E.W.T.-level spell.

It’s nice to see they all went to work together at the ministry. Even if Ron left after 2 years.either way it was nice to see them all working together

i'd really like to imagine how snape would greet harry in his portrait. would he respect and like him? or be completely nuetral? was he moved by harry's second son's name?
Knowing the muggle-born students, witches, and wizards they used the restoration of Hogwarts as also a means to modernize some of the school’s infrastructure.
They already have indoor plumbing, but I guess more modern lighting and heating systems would be good. That and maybe a computer lab would be good.
Electronics don't work inside of Hogwarts. If they changed something about the building, they might do something like ensuite bathrooms in the dorms and balconies for the common rooms.
Does anyone think that Bellatrix would’ve surrendered after Voldemort’s final death if Molly hadn’t killed her? I don’t think so

Easy Ron and Hermione went to Australia to find Hermione’s parents throughout the summer and Harry was sorting out his life and his relationship with Ginny and harry and Ron work at the ministry magic and Hermione went back to her file year at Hogwarts

An interesting speculation would be what happens to the trio's children now that even the youngest of them is old enough to have completed their NEWTS.
I'm not enough of a fan to even begin such a project but I am sure there are many who would have the requisite knowledge from canon sources to make a fair go of it.

Anyone else want to see like a detective-show/political drama about their post-Hogwarts careers? So many opportunities are just right there!
-Worldbuilding about wizarding society, the ministry of magic, and the reforms Harry and Hermione achieved in wizarding law and Auror-work(which basically is law enforcement)
-Seeing more of the "adult" wizarding world, and maybe other countries and "Magical international politics"
-Deep moral topics like house-elf rights etc. Imagine Hermione having a character arc where she must learn to accept that many house-elfs actually want to be in service to a master, and maybe we get to learn the background of house-elfs and how they became magically bound to humans like that in the first place.
-Tense police-investigation work and action and stuff with Harry and Ron in the Auror-office. I can totally see them developing something of a good cop/bad cop-dynamic...
-Political pushback from conservatie pure-bloods, there would probably be some political extrimism, urged on by some of Voldemort's supporters who were still at large or something right..? Plenty for Harry, Ron and Hermione to do in their new jobs.
-Seeing Ron and Hermion's relationship develop
-Seeing Ron going on to live a normal life as Harry and Hermione goes on to have important political positions. Like him and George making a big business out of basically "nonsense and fooling about". They are happy they can make a living out of making the world a more relaxed and humorous place, and Fred would probably have been proud of them.
-Would be a cool and interesting contrast for later seasons, if we see Harry and Hermione being really stressed out from work, while Ron is basically always in perfect zen-mode, happy and healthy, working from home when he wants to and taking life easy. He'd probably feel guilty for leaving everything to them, though... I think Ron's, lets call them character flaws, from the books would make for a great "Become the best version of yourself-character arc" btw
-A scene where Harry is at Hogwarts and has a conversation with Snape's headmaster-portrait, they can have a reconsiliary moment or something.
And ofc family issues with Harrys son and stuff, but I wouldn't mind that being toned down from what was portrayed in Cursed Child...

I use to have my own headcanon where after the Deathly Hollows, Harry would instead just abandon the wizard world and live his early adulthood in the muggle world doing a normal job because he was so distraught about his whole life and needed to be alone and rebuild himself emotionally and mentally. Ron would also not finish school but help out with his remaining brother at the Weasley shop. It's only Hermione, Neville and Draco's friends who stayed and graduated.
Draco himself didn't complete school either and his family would remain in hiding for a while.
Something happens in the wizarding world that prompts Draco to come out of hiding and goes out looking for Harry Potter. They both eventually meet reconcile and make up in a diner and after some convincing, Harry has the confidence to head back to the wizarding world to see what has been going on in his long absence. Harry and Dudley have only met again as adults only once.
The trio eventually reunites. Luna says that his father is dating somebody again. Neville is mourning the passing of his grandmother, and Draco later on reconciles with his parents.
It's been established that Hogwarts is permanently shutting down but Harry and his friends advocate that it remains open and all the former students chip into help keep Hogwarts in business.
Time goes by, and all the characters are as we see them in the epilogue 19 Years Later. As for Tronks and Remius's child, I would think Harry took him in as a foster child until he was ready to go to Hogwarts.
The Curse Child of course doesn't happen here. Albus just has a normal time at Hogwarts with nothing bad happening to him.
The End
I have questions about the 19 year span. WHY an odd number like 19? HOW was the castle rebuilt?, - by a magic spell, or actual labor? Just after the battle, how was the administration restructured?, How were the memorials for those lost in the recent events?

There is an interesting movie with Rupert a as guy getting driving lessons, called "Driving Lessons." You would not believe who else is in it. You need to see it for your self.
How do you know all this information/where did you find it? If there weren’t any other books?
I've know for a while that a lot of updates on their lives post-book was posted on Pottermore, but when the site got merged into the Wizarding world, many of these posts vanished.
There had been hundreds of them (one every few days/week for years), but now theres only about 50 of the 'latest and greatest' on wizarding world. Does anyone know if/where this content survives? and can it be accessed in any sensible order (Date or subject, rather than just random). As there is another books worth of content out there... somewhere

I can’t see Harry going on to be an Auror. In the last paragraph of the book he said “I’ve had enough trouble for a lifetime “. He had enough gold from his parents to live a comfortable life of a country gentleman

"Luna" ("Lily Luna Potter") seems more like it would have come from Ginny than from Harry.

They all made a ton of money on the Wizard-Con tour selling meet and greets and autographs, also giving lectures. Hermione, did as told in the video and became minister of magic as peaking in High School is just embarrassing. Harry was allowed to become an auror and Ron ran the joke shop with George, also making himself a very nice income, especially with the muggle internet as they were able to sell minor wizarding items online and also pocket the delivery fees as they could just send them magically. After being married for 20 years, Ron and Hermione called it quits, they had spent 10 in marriage counseling, nothing bad, they just finally realized they shouldn't be together, as everyone else knew, but never told them. Ron, being wealthy, was able to find himself a string of younger women and enjoy hopping around. Unfortunately this also caused a break up of Ginny and Harry's marriage as Ginny felt Harry should no longer speak to Hermione, even though Ron told her there were no hard feelings and the 3 had continued to do Wizard-Cons. With break up of both couples and after a few years playing the field, Harry and Hermione finally got over the brother-sister feelings and started dating, eventually leading to a happy second marriage and a late in life - over 40 - child for the them. Ginny, having hidden her bisexuality for years, mostly from herself, started a relationship with a muggle female, eventually marrying her and having a happy life. She and Harry buried the hatchet as he walked her down the aisle as it turned out, Hermione was just an excuse to break up.
Actually Ron, Hermione, Harry and many of their friends returned to school to complete their education. The Ministry required the education to receive a position, including the Auror, and Shacklebolt sent him and his friends to recover from the war.
That's like asking, "where do you go when you die?"

I saw one of your past videos about the Weasley’s poverty curse. I can’t see Ron and Hermione being poor or Harry and Ginny. I could see George spending all of his money.
Hermione knew what happened to Lily's parents which was no different than what happened to Neville's parents. But it was worse for them as they were muggles and hence they were dead Aunt Petunia saw everything and Hermione just got to know from her. That is why she erased her parents memories and put a protection charm around them.

Cursed Child being "canon" was a cash grab and nothing more. The premise is great, the execution was NOT.
In my books the death of Voldermort left a vacuum that enabled other evil doers to try to take over the Ministry of Magic of England. Harry finds the cave of his ancestor Merlin by mistake. He ends up being a prisoner of that cave by the magic of Morgana. In that cave Harry is taught indirectly more powerful magic by a Book of Merlin that he left behind. He learns about the source of Magic, and of the Elementals. which is lumped under forbidden magic. He is powerful when He break out of that Cave. He is growing strong in Magic. The all seeing fountain that was in the cave had shown him that Ginny had moved on. Later on Ermine marries Ron and Harry ends up marrying Queen of the North Bands. Harry problems with the ladies is just beginning. He ends up in a another marriage marrying Luna who was the only one that stayed faithful and believed Harry when he warned there was a war coming. Over the years I have written 9 books on Harry life. In the last book he is at war with the gods of Zeus and Odin who wanted to come back again to try to rule humanity.
Hermione altered her parents memories. She didn't wipe her parents' memories.
I think they are going to make an Origin movie about the founding 4 headmasters. Hollywood will ride this franchise into the ground.
after the series ended, they went back to Hogwart to start a never ending rave party. Malfroy came to discover his new found talent - guitar mastery. His magic guitar skills was able to resurrect Voldemort to join the never-ending rave party. Harry and Voldemort had since forgiven each other and became the best friend forever.
The epilogue is by far the worst chapter of the books. From unresolved 19 years of story down to the worst named kids you could imagine. Just very bad.
Yeah, like the names are awful and I care way more about the direct aftermath from the war. The fact we didn’t get any time to see the healing and just jumped 19 years in the future… those things drives me nuts. A chapter or 2 of the aftermath would’ve been necessary I feel like
As far as the Cursed Child is concerned, I can certainly understand the reasoning behind all the cursing and discrediting of the story as part of the Wizarding World. However, in the right hands, I think this story deserves to be told and has the potential to be the "Avengers Endgame" of the Wizarding World. Having a sequel to the Deathly Hallows that revisits iconic moments from the original films, while at the same time including a sort of "What If" series of events which unfolds, could prove worthwhile. If this book were to be properly adapted to screen, I think it has the potential to both redeem its reputation and find its place in the Wizarding World.

Harry had the Elder wand. Why did he not restore Hogwarts with it. I never have understood why JKR did the years later thing. Thought it might mean another book but so far none.
i am very confused on how harry, a not imparticularly talented wizard (he was average lets be honest) got such a senior position as an auror when he used disarm spell most of his fights
Harry has been defeating dark wizards and dealing with stuff most grown people hasn’t dealt with since he was 11, and is the best at defence against the dark arts of his year… I don’t know what’s so confusing
the fact he used the disarm spell for 99% of those encounters.
harry, according to everyone in the book and the people who analyze the book was not amazing at magic... he quiet literally had plot armour and thats all. most of his fights were decided by a first year spell

He has a vast knowledge of the subject, that was proven in book 5. Also, he would’ve been trained in more advanced stuff as he climbed up the ranks.
JK Rowling admitted that her pairing of ron and hermione was a mistake; which everyone watching the movies or reading the books could have told her. Sadly I do not see Hermione becoming Minister of Magic; she was a muggleborn and to reach that level the society would have had to have changed so much. I have my doubts it would have.

Well wizards aren’t exactly normal human beings, they function on a different level compared to normal humans. So i’m assuming the learn much quicker and there much more intelligent. Think about it, do you know how complex and impressive being a skilled wizard must be

20 year after the war, Ron had an affair with Luna because he thought Hermione was having an affair with Harry. Hermione got really mad and only then did she put a spell on Harry in order to have an affair to make Ron jealous. This of course upset Ginny and she then had an affair with Neville. It only got worse after that when Draco found out and had the scandal written in the Daily Prophet...

Here's a theory for you. It's about Hogwarts Legacy. I think we made a mistake in freeing the Snidgets. From what I was able to gather, there are only 3 of them left (from what the game shows us, anyway), and not to mention, this little nest full are likely brothers/sisters, so, that, plus the severe inbreeding that would take place trying to increase their numbers, well...... Unless there's a way to use some sort of magical knowledge to completely bypass the Snidgets becoming the magical bird version of the Habsburgs, the only other solution is to cross breed them with the closest avian like them, and from what I've seen in the game, that would be the Jobberknoll. So, in conclusion, we may have saved the Snidgets from the Poachers, but we have also completely doomed them in every other aspect of life. Let me know what you think. 😕
