40,990 people died of car accidents in the US in 2023. That's 13 and a half 9/11s on a recurring, annual basis. I've intentionally chosen accidents and not heart disease or cancer because car accidents have a more similar victim-age profile to terrorist attacks than most common diseases. I'm not here to say specifically what actions we should or should not take to address terrorism or car accidents. My point is simply this: don't concede any rights or freedoms to prevent terrorism that you wouldn't give up to prevent car accidents.

Exactly, as a previous administration appointee, Christopher Ray’s focus is right on target for those that made his appointment happen.
