- The 2013 Harley Davidson Road King CVO is featured in Episode 8 of my Let's Ride series. This is a long one with an extended ride. I did have some audio issues in this particular video that I fixed shortly after. My apologies! Let me know your comments about the bike and the review!
These were good quality videos. It's a shame they stopped coming out .
2014 RK CVO doesn’t have lowers and it has the new bags (yes I have one). Better bike IMHO. You’re on a bike with some mileage yet it looks new. I had the Chieftain and other Polaris products. Fit and finish (no fender paint or rust issues) and wow factor riding around way better on CVO. Aftermarket better for CVO but not really needed because they come loaded. Have always enjoyed your videos and talking biek was awesome! CVO is easier to split on (I live in CA).
Aftermarket removes the point of having a cvo.CVO'S are limited production bikes with all the best options Harley makes. If you gonna use aftermarket shit you may as well buy a standard bike
Love the music. Just realized this is the first video about a Harley-Davidson that didn’t have a blues slide guitar, a harmonica or rock playing.
Shomar Shultz Thanks. It's funny you should say that, as I did start with a blues kind of feel but changed to this as the bike just seemed kinda... "chill."
Great review, very relaxing to watch. The beginning was great fun too. Thanks
I have a 2012 Road King and love it! 70,000 miles on it and counting!
yankinoz1956 Definitely a nice bike!
I love the look of the Indians though and can see myself getting one before I croak!!
Thorough, honest and unbiased review. Really good. The high-beam on the whole time was odd, but impressive review.
Oh gosh. It was, wasn't it? *facepalm*
😂😂😂 I thought I was ignorant,you got me beat 😂😂😂 ove your review,I have a 2011 road king and it's nice
I wasn’t aware the rear shocks were air shocks. I have a 2013 Road King CVO. It does have a dial to adjust the rear shocks preload to accommodate different payloads including items in the saddle bags and the passenger. There is a guide in the manual that covers the proper setting based on the total weight.
Mine has a power commander, jackpot headers and Vance & Hines exhaust. Lots of power in my opinion but I weight less than 200 most days and over 190 most days.
That section on " one just speaks to me " -- That had me laughing -- Well played Sir
Kahn Guest Thank you 😊
Now i want a road king cvo 🧔
It was a bit jerky at first but I acclimated quickly to the throttle response and clutch release
I'm new to the channel and wow that intro
Nice review, I have an Indian Springfield, the ride is great! If I could afford a second bike, it would probably be a Harley, maybe a fat boy!👍
It took me over a year of riding to get used to my heel shifter lol. I'll never go back tho.
Excellent job
Also, you never did close the vent on the windshield to see how the buffeting was.
I have owned two Harleys, both Road Kings 2014/2017 so I don't have a huge depth of knowlege or comparison. That said, compared to other big 'baggers' that I have owned the RK's are my first choice and especially the M8. You pretty much summed up the ride and feel and have to say (and was a little relieved to hear) you mention that kind of disconnect as you put it. It's not like its always there, but just in some bumps or turning for example into a driveway with a ridge it just has a disconcerting kind of 'is something loose?' feel. Sounds horrifying put that way but what the heck...its a motorcycle? :) Aug 20 today...no sweat, September is way off!
...oh, and the not only are the new saddlebags easier to open but more importantly they have a much improved securement threading/ratcheted system. That 'on/off kind of jerky throttle drive train connect was an issue for me on my 2014 but none existant on the 17. Take out a 2018/19...would like to hear you're opinion and thanks for the ride!
So you've sat on this review since last fall? Wow! I like Road Kings and Springfields. The Indians I find tend to run a lot hotter than the new M8's though (At least the ones I've demo'd). Just wondering how the Indians hold their value. I know you've traded in quite a few in the last couple of years. What's going on with the new Indian that you were supposed to be getting? Are you still getting it?
I was told i can't get the fog lights just like this for mine and its exactly the same year and model. Can you please let me know what year and model those auxiliary fog lights are or how to purchase the exact same one please? also if you had to use a special wiring harness to connect it ?
I'm sorry, I wish I could. This was just a bike I took out for a test ride.
The manual says to keep the motor at 2000 rpms and above
That was really funny
Really want hear the speaker sound when ride
The Springfield is not comparable to the RK in my opinion. Springfield felt like a toy to me. The RK has taller shocks then you may realize, so when you keep saying it’s the seat, it’s probably the suspension.
I’m too bow legged to feel any engine heat!
I have 2 road kings great bikes
No problem with you giving specs and things, it sets the frame for the ride in some cases. That said, I'm mostly here for your subjective opinion on things (aka your "sparkling personality") and your ramblings.
Soo the Springfield appears to be copied off this bike😂😂 and the Polaris has newer efi that works better? 😂
Be careful sounds like your fighting the draw over to the dark side (harley😂)
I’d love an Indian too!
Indian guys are always complaining right after giving a compliment.
I own number 37
