Another good honest video Ad. You’ll get the 2nd part sorted next time as it helps now that you know exactly what they’re asking and will have more than one night with a frazzled head to get it all sunk in.
I hate exams and assessments as I don’t perform as well with someone stood watching you or under time constraints. Unfortunately I’m on a path with many of these situations to come as well 🙈👍🏼

Gutted for you, clearly know what your doing but like you say we are good with our hands and the class room is totally different (that’s why I didn’t go to uni😂) up most respect for posting the video and best of luck with the re sit pal!

Adam I am upset that you failed in the final part however be positive that you are a good electrician and when I get my garage sorted out I would like you and Nick to come over and install new equipment like the board and electric for the shutters for my valeting business. I am thinking about getting a few ev points installed with solar and batteries to cut the cost of the electric bills.

Great content Adan, sharing an insight on other courses, you are taking to improve as electrician & been honest on how you did , once I get qualified , I will be looking into taking EV charging courses . Can”t wait to get qualified, just been moving over to different company first week in going great ⚡️👊

I am sure you will smash it next time. I have just done the course at Mansfield, passed written failed online. Just re-sat online last week and passed. The course at Mansfield was rubbish, we just read the book, and we only got tea and coffee and a couple of biscuits. There was no coke or sandwiches 😂. It was a lot of money for not very much. Anyway, at least it's the ev stuff ticked off 👍. Good luck

Adam, you only need to do the 2391-51 course Periodic Inspection and Testing as your apprenticeship qualification covers you for the initial inspection and testing elements. Its a 3 day course as to the 5 day 2391- 52 and also cheaper. I did my 2391- 51 with NAPIT last year and they confirmed that 2391 - 51 is all that you need.

As you have already fitted Ev chargers do you need this certificate at all. I’m not trying to be funny but if you’re qualified as a spark is this necessary..👍🏻

You mentioned 2391-52....Unsure if you are with Napit,,,, If so...How did you join Napit with no level 3 Test and Inspect qualifications? I just wondered how you certify your work if not with Napit/NIC EIC etc..?? Also how can you prove your competence in installing the EV chargers you have already done with no qualification in this field....?? Or did your apprenticeship cover all of this....and if it did...why do the other quals? Well done on the result.....and good luck on the resit.

The 2391 is for EICR’s, Napit members or NIC domestic installers members are registered with them so they can sign off there own electrical installs to cover PartP (Building Regulations Compliance Certificate) in the building regs, this is for new circuits, new or replacement consumer units and any works in a bathroom. They still need to issue there own electrical installation certificate or miner works certificate for all works but not all works all notifiable to the local authority which is done through Napit or NIC and that is the “Building Regulations Compliance Certificate”, he is able to be registered with Napit because he has completed a “C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and equipment” or similar. There was a time back when I started in 2000 when there was no such thing as PartP and electricians would just issue their electrical insulation certificates, but then in 2005 the government introduced PartP and this building regulations compliance certificate without this Napit would not exist.

@@neil8929 Thanks for the comprehensive answer, I was aware of all the Part P stuff and the schemes etc.... I was just curious. Perhaps I should have asked which level 3 qualification he had to allow him to sign off his own work and join a scheme...and as you explained the C&G 2357 level 3 NVQ...Cheers.
Just one point the 2391 is in two parts or combined as I understand it, theInitial varification 2391-50 and then the EICR/Periodic section 2391-51and you can sit both ending up with the 2392-52 or just one of them.
Would you be able to join a scheme like Napit or the NICEIC if you had both ie 2392-52 ( or the older version of the 2391 exam or the 2394 Initial and 2395 EICR-Periodic) without the NVQ as clearly you would be well versed in the subject of testing and more skilled in the subject than young Adam is, at this moment in time?

Yes I’m sure you would be able to join Napit if you had the 18th edition and 2391 or 2392-52. They send an assessor out to meet you and go through testing and regs anyway as part of there assessment they also look at a installation you have done, this happens once a year, nothing to worry about Iv had 18 of these and they have always been decent guys, mine have all been ex sparks and live in the real world!! That’s helps 😂
