@@ozzygoldadventures Done. I'll be looking forward to the next installment for the coming season. I would love to hear a bit about the essential equipment you bring and planning you do. I'd like to do an excursion like this myself at some point in the future. Any advice from a seasoned veteran would be greatly appreciated. Great work Garry.
@@markb9347 Hi Mark, Thanks for your interest. I wouldnt call myself an expert by any means haha. A lot of it is luck, trial, error and persistence. Regarding equipment, It depends on what type of trip you are wanting to do. You can stay / camp in the small towns around the gold fields and just do day trips to locations, then you get to come back and have a hot shower and 240v electricity each night. Or you can choose to free camp out in the bush in more remote spots which may give you a better chance at finding better gold. Definite must haves are a good GPS (and know how to use it) minimum detector quality I would say is a Minelab GPX-4500 or better, a personal locator beacon also gives a great sense of Security. A Hema map system is also very handy. Other than that it is just up to you what comfort levels you need or want haha. Thanks again. Garry
Hi Garry, Thanks for the great videos mate. I have stumbled across your channel, don't know why I had not seen it b4. You have found some great gold on this trip. We are planning a trip over there next year 2021 with a mate "The Surfing Prospector" Crouch. Check his channel if you get time. He had a great time over there this year. Hope to run across you one day mate. Dennis & Donna.
Hi Heather, to prospect in WA you need a miners right ($25) from department of mines WA. Then you need to check which mining leases are available to enter and prospect, the peaople in the Mines department can show/help you. Cheers, thanks for watching.
Congratulations on all the color.
What a season. Thanks for sharing it Garry!
Thanks Mark.
Glad you enjoyed watching mate. Check out some of the other years, also some good stuff there too.
Cheers Garry
