Narciso Duran If you like Kay Starr, listen to her recordings from the late forties. 'Youre Always There', 'December' and a few other gems of the same period. I don't think you will be disappointed.
+Allen Gumm Try Kay's version of Then I'll be leaving you' on the 'Ultimate collection Volume1' album. Very beautiful. Not now on You Tube but can be heard on iTunes site.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm kind of on a Rita Hayworth tear (sp?) today, having watched her in "Gilda," recently. Now, I like Jack Cole, but....hmmmm...this number seems uninspired, The male dancer seems the only one committed to the material, and the divine Rita H. only seems to be in it for a little bit. But I'm glad to have seen it. Thanks again.

books on Greek mythology are getting getting dusty on the shelves
It’s nigh on 2000 years
Since we spotted our careers
No one digs us it appears
So we must, we must,
Talk about ourselves
Were the 9 muses, 9 muses
And we live on Mount Parnassus
Were the goddess’s who
Bring art and culture to you
Terpsichore Terpsichore
Get with the news of the muse
Dadalip sure sure sure sure sure sure sure yep yep!
Well hello jack
What’s new outside
I just got back from a chariot ride
I heard I’ve been elected to
Tell you what we muses do
The jive is that from way back when
Our kiss could inspire men
To sing to dance to act to faint
It’s up to us if it is or ain’t
For instance take a chick like me
They call me Terpsichore
Im the goddess of song and dance
I put the ants in the dancers pants
The 9 of us and our careers
Kissed 3 million guys in 2000 years
Here’s an in-completed list
of the characters we’ve kissed
Butini, Bellini, Antonio Rossini, and not to mention Mr pagganini
Deleney, McSweeny, Madame tetrazzini
And the guy who invented
The skinless weenie
We’ve got Schopenhauer, Sigmund Freud, Socrates, and Nietzsche
Thomas Edison, Robert Fulton, and Alex bell and Donald Michie
Manny Goodman with his knocked out in 8,
Kissed the kid with the drum and the spirit of ‘76
Lombardo brothers, smith bothers, gimble brothers, marx brothers, Crosby brothers, Dorsey brothers, ringling brothers, ritz brothers
Hagan Hey, Daggett and Ramsdell, mark and tulbur, lee and baris, cross and blackboard, Leggett and myers, Sears and roebuck, Sam and Schuester, Hammacher Schlemer
Brother!
There’s a half a million others
If you raise your raise for yours lips for the tea
You will learn that the world will be
A wash out, a big flop
A (…) funny and a whistle stop
If it wasn’t for the
Gifts of the muse
