To sign players meanwhile you have them on trial and during a training match, i´m pretty sure it prevents other clubs to come with counter bids just to steal the player from you (they really don´t usually need him, it´s just for spite SI). 😅
I've started to combine players who struggle to get on with one another in the same mentoring groups. It seems a never-ending circle but players' attitudes do change. I audit the groups once a month.
So basically I went celtic as they are the team I support IRL Best tactics I've had is gegenpress 2 wing backs 2 BPD CBs 1 Box to Box CM set to attack 1 winger on the left set to attack 1inverted winger on the right set to support 1 CAM advanced playmaker set to support And 2 advanced forwards 1 set to pressing and the there set to complete forward I play adventurous style of play high press and counter attack With short roll outs to my defence and short passing Low block and medium line And most important whipped crosses set on play early crosses Positive style as soon as my game starts switch to attacking and shout demand more Transfer tips south amerian and Asian players are as good as euro players and far cheaper
wow almost the same like mine. i like to bring the ball to the box and mentality set to balance or cautious or defensive, since i'm using weaker side nott forest
For the work permit thing change the option to 'is not' and change it to Unlikely to qualify. It will than include anyone that doesnt need a work permit and players that you can appeal to get one
Also notcing how Transfers with under 18s works in FM23 you want to turn off the option for if they are interested because I have noticed if a player is under 18 so cant transfer until they are 18 it will say they are not interested, I signed Moukoko and Endrick for Brighton and when asking the agent it said they were not interested but once the bid was accepted they still wanted to discuss the contract.
Screenflow. It's a pain in the ass to set up, but you can get results from every competition for every country you have loaded, which if you are in the lower leagues is a good way to start seeing some of those new, young regens, ands you can also set up a display for transfer window rumors in any league you have loaded as well. You may get carpal tunnel setting it up though...
Something I did not discover until a short time ago. While star ratings are not the only thing to use to judge a player, the positions screen will give you Current Ability star ratings for a player even if you haven't scouted him enough yet. It can help as an initial filter, especially if you are playing with Attribute Masking enabled. A player with unknown stats but a high star rating on their positions is a good tip.
One not really a tip that I discover just a few hours ago is in matches you can check the momentum, I not sure if it's always been there or its new, but I will say always look at that especially when you feel you start losing momentum, then you can make changes to try and regain the momentum of the game or maybe shout at your players to stay focus (even when you are winning) to make sure you don't start to concede goals after goals.
@@dazewtfyou know while in game when it's not in highlight there are like stats on the left and some other stuff like opposition formation and stuff, you can change it to visualization and momentum is under there if I remember correctly.

Been playing since 1996. but always like to watch videos like this. For example Find similar Staff I use regularly but Find similar Player I try for the first time. Great tip!
Cheers for doing this, Jake. Some real golden nuggets in here! Can I make a couple of suggestions? (1) With WORK PERMITS add an 'OR No permit required' to the search so you don't miss out on those players either. and (2) With PLAYER COMPARISONS (a) you can ditch the player role selected by the AI in order to spot players that could be retrained to that position and (b) you could drop the attributes by 1 in order to spot players who could potentially reach the same levels as the player you're replacing. Hope these suggestions are helpful to you and other FM players. Keep up with the grand job you're doing mate. Always something useful and/or interesting in your videos.
I always praise good training or point out bad training every 2-3 weeks (i used to do it every week but consumes alot of time). this will always boost morale and improve training as well. if a player trains 7.5 to 10 out of 10. i will normally praise it regularly. players build a better relationship with you and know you are there to help them and they trust you more. (atleast it feels that way)
i dont know if anything has changed since you upload a video. but once i did sign a player that director of football suggested. then i realised that club management was not happy with the signing lol, obviously it might be due to the wage etc as well but i thought i'd just mention it
With MORALE don't forget what I did with my first Dortmund save - to select apply coaching badges appropriate to club level at the start. My players absolutely HATED me and it took me weeks in-game to work out what I had done wrong! 😂😂😂
I always check career stats on recommended players to see how they rated in the last 20 games. Your scouts might recommend someone highly, but then you check his stats and see he's only been averaging 6.7 in the LEAGUE BELOW YOURS, so . . . . . . Related to this, you can check out the best performing players in your league (or another league) by seeing who's got the highest average rating from at least 10 games.

Ok bro , i would like to ask something here, how can you make FM fun, coz with me if i pick a top team i win everything in 1 or 2 seasons and there is nothing left to play for so i lose interest in the game. If i pick a mid table team it would take me 3 or 4 years to do the same thing ie winning everything competition, if i pick a lower league , it would just delay the outcome which is winning everything eventually . Journeyman mode is also not fun after u win everything with a lot of clubs. Is there is a way to play FM like some sort of save which will have something to do even after playing it for a good period of time.
Question how do you get your 2nd team in Germany promoted to 3liga I've spent loads of money on players for it and spent loads of time trying to improve the 2nd team I've got players good enough to play champions League in the squad to try and get them promoted the stats show for them getting 20+ goals and 20+ assist for several players but still no promotion fgs what do I have to do

How do you see the squad depth of the B and U-19 squads on the planner? It was possible in FM22 and the planner seems to have ditched that possibility.
I have a problem with my scouts on "running" duty in an area suddenly working with something else, even though I am 100% in charge. I think it has to do with me also scouting some players manually and the game fucks it up and remove my scouting setup, so I have to set it up over and over again. In generel the whole new scout setup is really bad in my opinion... also the planner is ALOT worse than the old one. The only thing gotten better is the 3d engine... the rest has become alot worse in my opinion.
New to the game series tips this, i played this since before the millenia change and that i actually regret, the series is not a pleasant one in the long run 🏃♀️

DNA searching for players below 19 of age, Determination, Natural Fitness, Anticipation and Decision, Work Rate and Teamwork. You can always put other attributes suitable for your clubs DNA.
It's way too easy to find good players in Football Manager nowdays. I miss the 2002/2003 days. The game had more soul, and it took more skill to actually find players. Now it's just click, "find similar players", there are potential ratings etc. Too automated. Takes away the charm of scouting and such. Sigh.
I am absolutely fuming and disappointed at the whole PS5 situation. I pre-ordered it and was so, so excited to play FM on console for the first time since 2008. With less than 4 days notice I suddenly get a notice of a refund with no explanation. I had to research myself to find out what was going on. Sports interactive have laid the blame squarely at Sony's door which I do understand to an extent. However, surely you wouldn't commit to developing a game for console release, putting in all the finances, man hours and resources needed if you weren't 100% sure that it would go ahead? Why would you do all of that with the risk that it may not happen? I am so angry about all of this. Currently 'delayed indefinitely ' but no guarantee whatsoever that it will ever happen.
Why does everyone say "you can play how you want and that's completely fine" when if you're not doing things optimally it is NOT fine and in fact wrong?

And when in squad view if you sort by postion than shift click ability it will sort the players by postion and than sort them by ability

I see no options to hold a team meeting or have a player meeting, there is no option to talk to anyone.. im on ps5, any help would be appreciated
