Extremely stable, and handles boat wakes and small shore break just fine. It is a flat platform, so some water might wash over the deck in those type of conditions, but the design sheds water extremely fast!
I was in 18 mph winds this morning and it handled great. Like Hobie said you will probably get wet but it still handled well and went over the waves well.
Ive been waiting for a hobie river boat for a while. Any thoughts from anyone on how it paddles and does in current? Does it cut across current or tend to track and go with?
When will the new h rails be avaible? I'm hoping to get mine come Sept. And want to get my add-ons now. I'm so tempted to sell my 2021 outback for this.
When is Hobie going to fulfill these orders for the extras? Love my Lynx, it’s amazing. Not loving watching your videos of the things I’ve ordered that are constantly on “back order”.
We apologize for the delays, but rest assured, we are working hard to get product out the doors and into the hands of our consumers in these unprecedentedly challenging times for manufacturing and shipping.
I love my Hobie Lynx. It’s lightweight, simple, and easily transportable. Less is more. And more is less. I only have the H crate to hold 3 fluke poles, lures, h20, & my fish finder battery. My garmin fish finder is mounted on the cup holder. One Yakattack rod holder on the r/s, and 2Takatrack paddle holders on the L/S. That’s it. Your Lynx looks like a 1500 truck with Tow mirrors with that bar, and H rails on it🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just snagged an H-rail kit! I was wondering if you’ve seen any damage to the hull at the rear mounting point? There are a few videos about this and one company is selling spacers to put between hull and back mounting bracket that they say mitigate this damage. Do you think the spacers are necessary?
Love the kayak just hate the price 🤯😔 . Less profit margins = more units sold!!!! End of fiscal year is = but you have more market share and hobie dominates the market and the water 😉🤙
Thanks for the kind words, Cameron. This buzz bait is still catching fish to this day! A little tuning keeps it alive, and squeakier than ever, just how we like it.
How stable is this to PA12 ? You look small, I'm 6' 240lbs an is it stable enough where I can Stand an cast easy an hard without fear of tipping? Not seen any big guys on this at all. Appreciate any info & do you know if they will make a 38" - 40' wide lynx in future? Thanks. Great video.
I’ve been looking at all the local dealers in Texas and nobody can tell me how soon these will be off back order? Any word that can be shared to those of us who would like to grab one? @hobie
Hobie manufactures a wide variety of platforms, some of which are better suited for heavy water (i.e. Outback, Compass, Revolution 13). The Lynx is foam-filled for safety and is unsinkable like other Hobie kayaks, and has amazing stability. For the fair weather Hawaii days, this would be an excellent platform.
I like mine , but it is very poor quality, there are talking about 2nd quality on hobie forum .....mine is full of small dents , dirt in plastic, creasses in plastic , deformed bow, and even bubbles from delamination of plastic..... be sure to carefully inspect hull before buying.....
Can't believe how stable it is lol! Your moving around like your on a bass boat!
Great video guys!
Thinking of getting rid of my pa14 for one of these……
I got one on order, I have a Solo Skiff now just so much work and painful for our senior folks.
@@vannlam1322 how soon will the factory release these?
I would like to see how it handles against wakes and small shore breaks. 48" width would make it super stable.

Hey Hobie, are we going to see a larger platform using this technology in 2022?
Wow all that to catch a fish !
Looks like you have a plastic lure box under the seat….is it free moving or did you secure it and if so, how?
That's pretty slick 👍

Was simple to put together and his sturdier than it looks.
Is that the large crate, or the junior?
What’s the diameter of the forward accessory mount?
Crazy fishing video thanks subbed!

What shoes do you have on

RIP to that white spinnerbait lol @5:09 #yeet
Another great overview

Do you get wet on this? Does water come up on the platform?
Just bought two for recreation. Does anyone use these boats for fun instead of fishing?

Does bigger wind blow you all over the place in this?
Will the Mirage 180 fit in this? I have the Outback.
It comes with the 180, I have the outback too, same drive

Prob the end of this year, or beginning of 2022
Would you recommend the Lynx for Hawaii waters?

At the end when you casted in the tree 😳
Good eye! If you're not getting hung up in a tree every once in a while you're just not making the right casts!
@@HobieOfficial that’s right!
What is the life preserver you are wearing
That's the Hobie Inflatable PFD (PN S6782GR PFD INFLATABLE GREEN - 24g) - Available through any Hobie Dealer.

You like it but it’s very poor quality? Are we to believe you took possession of the kayak with all the things you noted wrong with it?
Damn. I looked at one one of these today and noticed the same issues. Lots of small wrinkles like in the skin. Come on hobie
She made the H rugby post into a lynx sphinx facing the left
Depressing music 😭 made in India 😭
I want to see someone load and unload the boat
Dear Santa
Can this kayak handle rougher waters like a bay with 2 or 3 foot waves
That rig gotta be like 10k
