Took the Train from PORTO to POVOA de VARZIM | Amazing ATLANTIC BEACHES!

- I decided to take the train from Porto up to the coast, all the way to the last stop which is Povoa de Varzim. This small Ocean side town used to be used mainly by fisherman. There is a nice size harbor here and amazing beaches. There is a Fort left over from the days when it was needed and a casino. It looks to be a type for resort town, which is likely busy during the summer. I also found a great place for a very cheap, delicious lunch here. Come with me and explore this town in Portugal.

We visited Portugal, going to Lisbon and Porto in October 2017. I found Porto incredibly attractive and enchanting. But the highlight of our time in Porto was the trip to Póvoa de Varzim. It was very empty there and windy but sunny. The houses between the station and the ocean, the beach, the fort, the open spaces... I really liked it.
I also really enjoyed Povoa de Varzim. I think that it still looks pretty much the same. Lot's of unspoiled open spaces and beach. Thanks for sharing. 🇵🇹🏖🙏
wow, the trains there look nice.. And look, that beach scenery there in the autumn is specctacular.. What a massive beach! I would spend so much time there if I lived there.
That beach was the biggest I've ever seen. It was truly massive and amazing. Those waves were no joke though. What a cool find in Portugal.

The transport from Trindade to Povoa do Varzim isn't a train, it's a metro or subway.
Good point, it's more like a metro or city train. In Spain, they would call it short distance rail. It's a lovely ride up the coast.

The food was really good and a big plate too. You have to get out a but out of Poeti though for these prices. The beach was insanely beautiful.

funny thing the people from Povoa de varzim are descendants from the vikings,we even have our own runes you can see them at 14:20 between the paintings, some of our boats are similar to the viking boats. we have saying " a raça poveira" witch means the race from povoa de varzim, we belive we are not the same race as the rest of portugal.

Hahaha, I don't think you will see any temperatures like that here. Maybe in the South of Portugal , the water is likely warmer. That's some warm water in Florida.

Can't beat Spain for the Ave. Trains in Portugal are fine but no AVE high speed that's for sure
I don't know if they have high speed trains, this one was pretty slow. I'm guessing you would know. Yes, Spain has amazing trains. Very cheap in Portugal though.
@@TravelAddictGuy Portugal certainly does not have high speed trains. That's why I said trains in Portugal are okay as compared to USA. Spain and Netherlands have the best trains in Europe I find. Saludos Portugal probably has the worst trains in Europe but still better than USA.
