So continuing my journey with American Airlines from New York across to Vancouver. After a short layover in Charlotte it was time to continue Westbound to my next stop of the day, DFW! This time I had the pleasure of joining one of AA's new A321's, this one is only a year old. Not the best place to sit unfortunately, made it quite awkward to film because I had to turn round and lean back quite a lot. The flight was full so I wasn't able to move, but the video came out alright. A fairly lengthy taxi down to RWY36C before joining the queue of several American Eagle jets waiting to leave. Once airborne and in the cruise some great views along the way over Memphis, you can see the airport and the endless line up of FedEx planes on the ground. As well as some views of the Mississippi River. Some beautiful views during descent and approach, over Lewisville Lake. Before making a smooth touchdown, with lots of reverse thrust, right over on RWY17L at DFW. Dallas Ft Worth airport is enormous... 7 runways. So quite a lengthy taxi back to the terminal. Taxiways actually take you around the runways, instead of crossing them, so that gave me quite a nice tour of the airport. Lots of old American Airlines MD-80's still going strong out of Dallas, makes a nice change from the usual line up of Airbus or Boeing. But overall a pretty good flight, with lots to see on route to and from 2 new airports for me as well!

DFW looks about 3 or 4 times bigger in acreage as LHR; is that a false impression?

Britt Unculus DFW I think is larger in area than London. It is also busier! :)
