For those of you listening, but maybe don't have experience in singing: There are no words to describe how difficult it is to have that kind of vocal control over such a HUGE range. Both of them are covering more than 2 octaves, jumping intervals back and forth and hitting every note with precision. This is INSANE. So good.
It’s funny that I was thinking the very same thing as I scrolled to the comments. I am an experienced singer and this, although thrilling, would be terrifying to perform. Magnificent!
This is basically what i was going to say. I am a classically trained violinist from age.9 AND singer My first singing teacher determined to prepare me for the San Francisco Opera auditions. My ears are highly trained. As a composer my strength is in a cappella vocal writing. My studio singers are headed by a fellow who was short-listed to join the Swingle Singers. All that being said, I feel best qualified to wash the feet of these young women and would feel honored to do so. I understand just hiw devilishly difficult it is to do what they did almost effortlessly Hey, I'm kidding. There is NOTHING effortless about it. Just a great natural talent AND an Olympic work ethic. (I used to see my friend Raymond Gibbs vocalizing in the practice room, sweat pouring down his face. He became the youngest baritone on the roster of the New York Met. Ray was a true athlete. As are these two. 'Nuff said.
It sounds nice and simple but it is so complicated it is unbelievable how they not only did this but how they did it in such a beautiful way. Two truly talented and miraculous singers!

Brilliant! My late piano teacher has always dreamed of seeing the 2 part inventions sang in a duet. Wish she could have seen this performance!
