I've always enjoy the chaotic beauty of Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, and with your reinterpretation, I think the little rebel, himself would love it, too, and felt honored by it.
I wonder what kind of music he, and other classical composers, would come up with if they had access to all the different kinds of instruments and musical equipment we have now?
i remember playing this back when i was in the 7th grade for the San Antonio city school orchestra event that we had to attend to pass our final exam for the year in orchestra calss back in 85. Ended up being moved from the middle school section to the high school section which gave me about a month to learn this song to play on the violin. I totally love this version of Beethoven 5th. Hopefully I'll be able to catch you guys this time around I hope. Ended up having to work during the tour back in april.

Your take makes this symphony so much more aggressive and in your face and not so passive and soothing. I like it!!!! Goes to show that classical music does not have to be boring and slow to still be enjoyed and understood. It makes it a way more timeless sounding piece in my opinion.

I've loved these guys since "Plays Metallica..." but getting a full-time drummer was such a great move on their part. It really fills things out and gives the music such gravitas.
