I love the mid-air soldering clamp device! :) As a non-DCC person, I still found this interesting Chris. Lining it up will be fun! --Michael.

I think at some point I’m going to have to splash out for the upgrade so it can be indexed. It took a while to stop it right on DC control too!

I'm about to install the Locomotech motorising kit to my Peco N scale turntable. I will be using an ESU Lokpilot decoder and NCE PowerCab controller. Every other video I have watched show the Locomotech motor turning the bridge super smooth with no jerking whatsoever so was a bit puzzling why yours wasn't also smooth. I will let you know how it turns (hopefully nice and smooth).

I had ordered the Locomotech motor kit a couple of days ago. My first time I have ever ordered anything online from the UK going to Australia. I spoke with Rupert from Locomotech, seems like a nice chap.

Can anyone please recommend a basic decoder for use with this Locomotech motor kit please??

Pretty sure I used a basic Hornby 8 pin decoder. I’m sure there’s better ways of doing it, but that worked well perfectly for me and it gave good slow speed control and was easy to wire up to the DCC bus.

@@spraymanandy1963 to elaborate, the Peco turntable has a metal track inside it with a gap, and as it turns it changes the polarity of the rails. I’ve turned sound fitted locos with no issues

Hi yes I did, but at the time I bought the motor kit I was intending to change to DCC. Kinda wish I had bought the indexing version now though

@@chrisderby986 You can still buy the indexing kit as a separate kit. give you about 11 positions, work on dcc
