Huge props to you my man, could never have the balls of steel you have. Workin on my first job site and seeing part of the new building go up got me curious on how it's actually done, cool shit man!
I am absolutely terrified of heights. My father-in-law(Mohawk) was an Ironworker(361), his logic was... you walk around all day, you don't fall right? Same thing up there! That kind of logic doesn't process in my brain.
@@orifjonkhudoyberdiev5447 I'd go online. Probably have a better chance getting into the States right now, southern border is wide open, nobody gets sent home from the interior either.
I'm assuming you have a man in the middle of the joist connecting the x brace and cutting the rig loose. He deserves a little face time too on that camera of yours. R D local 25 Detroit ( retired )
Nope. Joists are bolted, so they don’t need to be braces right away. The bridging crew typically comes behind us. We had remote disconnect hooks on this job so our rigger on the ground cut the crane loose when we finished connecting a piece.
Remote disconnect hooks!!! W T F? Things sure have changed since I hung my belt in the garage. Work safe young man and help the young guys learn. 1060192 retired

Different kind of breed my friend! Hats off to your father in law, those men were true IW’s
All in your mind dude. The difference between walking at heights is stability and wind. Account for those and you're good
You guys are nuts man that takes balls I'd pass out I'm scared to death of heights past 2 stories
As a pipefitter you couldn’t pay me enough to do what they do. Hats off.

Awesome 🙂👍💪
What are you clipped to?
I’m tied off to a steel cable. It’s so if I fall I don’t hit the ground
This is what I really wanted to do. But ended up in road construction.
Have you ever witnessed anyone fall and see those wires and clips do they're job?
No man! I haven’t seen personally but there has been a guy on the same job as me who is 280lbs and they didn’t break. Cable is super strong!! 💪🏼
To high brotha
Just curious, why do you guys roll your pant legs up?
So ya don’t snag your pant leg on anything
Does this career pay well?
I just started as an apprentice in Ontario and I'm getting 28 an hour plus benefits and pension. The journeyman rate is 46. So yeah pretty good.
You betcha bro. It’s a very rewarding career if you play your cards right!

Little late but the breakaway pack on your tether is in the wrong spot. Always put the pack to your back.
Nope, it’s in the correct spot!
