As with most of eastern Europe, Hungary is alive and vibrant. We spent a week in Budapest and it is definitely one of our favorite cities. The people are friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent and not hideously overpriced (as it is in western Europe). Highly recommended to visit!
How well do you speak your second language? Do you have a second language? P.S., "L.O.L" isn't proper English. It's how children communicate. Then again maybe you don't speak your native language that well either, eh? Cute avatar by the way.
Tamas Mihaly I was genuinely complimenting the unique cadence in his voice- it added a ‘fun spin’ to an already interesting video! It was really helpful, as I’ll be moving to Budapest in the next couple of weeks. I intended for no disrespect towards him or anyone who may speak English as their second or third language, so I’m not sure where your hostility is coming from! P.S. I can speak and understand nearly 5 different languages with complete eloquence (still working on my Hungarian) ~ L.O.L 🤗
As a Hungarian living in Budapest, The highest temperature you can count with is 32-36 °C in the summer based on the last few years. Another tipp, about where to stay. On Buda side basically everything is good, on Pest side there is 4 ring road. The outer is the M0 highway on the border, than there is 'Hungaria rind road' ending in the north top of the island than there is the 2. on which the 4-6 trams goes (even after midnight) and then the most inner one. The basic tipp is do not choose mostly outer than the border of the second ring road.
Nice video, but as usual, it only shows the most touristic sights. One of the amazing aspects of Budapest is the massive number of less or barely known secrets worth visiting. Hidden medieval ruins, underground lakes, crystal caves, Roman ruins, waterfalls, rare animals in the wilderness, spectacular lookout points and towers, abandoned palaces, mind blowing entrance halls, secret gems of architecture, the list is very long and most of the times even the locals won’t know about them. Budapest is amazing and still barely discovered.
It’s great to see Budapest on Y.T. as a reminder of one of my favourite Cities. When I visit any of the major cities of Europe I don’t rely on tourist information as just walking the streets is enough to soak up the atmosphere. You quickly discover the places that are worth further investigation.
do not agree 100%... there are a lots of hidden gems in Budapest which are a 'must see' category but you cannot really get there by accident... but yeah it is definitely good feeling to go with the flow when you are there
Thank you for your excellent video. Budapest is very amazing city. I have visited Budapest 3 times and liked it very much. Also I would like to say about hungarian beer. There are not a lot of kinds of beer, but it is very tasty. Most of all I liked beer Borsodi.
Informative video. Is there something like a city card that you can take and you can see the tourist attractions and use public transport? Kindly give details
Thank you for this vid :D my bf is planning to visit me and as a middle poor girl i don't know much about tourist attractions in Hungary (only the most famous ones) btw nice accent 😂

Oh and may i ask if he will be able to visit around August? Since i think c-19 will end and it will be a really gios travelling opportunity specially since on the 27 (if i remember correctly) is our national day
What gas stove does Budapest homes use? Electric or Propane? We are coming from India we need to bring utensils that could be used there. So should we bring flat base pressure cooker (for electric induction top) or should be bring regular curved for propane or any gas fuel stove top? Please reply it's urgent.
thanks man nice explanation 😅. will be there month of Feb 2021. hope COVID-19 gets over soon😑 what was the name of the cake ?😋 . . . note: Ofcourse, visiting for the first time😎
Hey, I'm traveling to Budapest next week. It's a birthday present for my 15 y/o brother and I'd love to show him around on an electric scooter but I can't find if there is a minimum age in Hungary to ride an electric scooter. Do you (or anyone else reading this comment) know if it is legal for my 15 y/o brother to ride an electric scooter in Hungary or not?
District 8 is not a cool place to have a room at. Try another district like 9. District 9 is way cleaner. Btw district 8 has a really bad reputation in Hungary. 8 is a dangerous place to spend the night at.
If you want to avoid crowds and waiting for everything don't do what everyone else does. There are pickpockets in every city, especially the main tourist areas. There is lots to see in Budapest just walking around and plenty of places to go outside the main city centre. The party district can be a nightmare anyway, who wants to go away to get caught up in stag and hen parties? Check out Margaret Island and take a walk up Gellert Hill. You'll get better accommodation outside the main city centre. Take an airbnb in somebody's apartment. You'll help out the local economy and if your host is nice they'll give you lots of tips about where to go and when to go there. There's no end of great coffee shops, restaurants etc. and no excuses for moaning.
I paid for (via PayPal) and downloaded the PDF file for BUDAPEST TRAVEL GUIDE 2019. I can open it with Acrobat Reader, but the pages that are supposed to have a green background don't display green ... just white which results in the white text not readable. I found the links by running my cursor on the pages randomly. Also it file is formated with a page size that is unfamiliar here in the U.S. If I open the PDF in my graphics application all the text attributes and background shapes appear just fine, but when I try to export back to PDF, the green background not output to the resulting PDF. Also, the fonts (eg. free Google and Minion) were not embedded had to be manually downloaded and installed. If your graphics person/studio can please see if they can produce a PDF that will be useable here in the U.S. (Letter size, 8 1/2" x 11") with all the text formatting and attributes correct?
Hey John, thank you for your message, really appreciate it. And very sorry to hear you're having problems. It must be a corrupt file because we just tested it on several different devices and it works fine after download (not only in Acrobat but any reader). Please send me your email so we can refund you for your trouble and send you a good version. Please just email us here: hpassport.travel@gmail.com With regards to the size, it is 9:16 to best fit smartphones, as it's meant to be used on your device once you're there.
While I am thankful for your tips, I had to slow the video down because of how quickly you speak. There is not enough time to write down any information because of that.
Thank you for featuring the shoes, of my people, who were killed and shot, and fell into the Danube River, during the war.... most videos skip this important historic event. WHY?
Im in Budapest right now, for three days. What an amazing city!!! ❤
As with most of eastern Europe, Hungary is alive and vibrant. We spent a week in Budapest and it is definitely one of our favorite cities. The people are friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent and not hideously overpriced (as it is in western Europe). Highly recommended to visit!
We spent three days in Budapest in November 2022. A amazing and vibrant city. In fact, basically everything is beautiful in Budapest.

public restrooms are often not very clean tho... It's usually better to just go to a cafe or a shopping mall.
Budapest is safest city in Europe.

Probably it's late but electric scooters are 18+, but I guess noone cares if a 15 years old boy uses it if he uses it properly 😊
@@veghbenji thanks, we indeed found out when we got there 😄 but you don't need a drivers license or anything right?
No, not needed anything, just unlock and ride :)

solid video, dont forget to check our travel guide.
That was supposed to be Dohany Utca
whats the point of 4k at 30fps lol
I’m from Budapest and I don’t recommend staying in district 8 it’s not that safe
So soda is cheaper than water.
01:00... no two parts ... tree parts: Buda, Pest, Óbuda .... XD
🎊
First: Pest is pronounciated correctly as Pesht. Not pest. Second: This is only a typical path that every tourist walking over and over.
Great informative video but this is how you spell "transportation."
I guess if you like crowds, waiting for everything and pickpockets
