I chose to have this done about 3 years ago. Had 1st touch-up last week. NO regrets. It looks great and it was seamless. I too had some lymph node swelling, but it only lasted a couple days. If youre on the fence about getting this done. Just do it. Just research fully whomever you have do this. Make sure they are reputable and professional.
I have seen alot of videos about this procedure and I still had questions. You actually answered alot of those questions. Very thorough and your hair looks great.
Hi SDJohns, Super appreciate the feedback! Really glad to hear this as it can be a difficult topic to cover. Thank you for your compliment and for stopping by. 🙂🤝
Wow! It look fantastic. The fact that there's some small difference in shades between the micro and your real hair makes it look more natural. Love it! Im gonna get it. 👍👍
Hi Danny Boy, Thanks for stopping by! I super appreciate your honesty about feeling eager and nervous, because I felt the same exact way, and this is perfectly normal! I'm hoping that us admitting this inspires others to consider this to help them regain their strength and confidence in their self image. There is nothing wrong with the bald look, but this may be a great option for many. Personally, I had a touch up since this original video due to a bit more hair loss, but I'm very very satisfied with the results. I hope that inspires confidence in you and others. Stay dope my friend. :)
Great explanation and demonstration. I wish I had know about this or came across your video years ago. I've been suffering with receding hairline and bald spot for about 10 years and it has gotten worst to the point I never go anywhere without my hat. Thank God I work I shop where I can always wear hats.
I totally empathize with you Andrew. Hair is a majority of our lifetime. This procedure has improved my quality of life dramatically. I started going a little more bald, so I do need to get a little touch up. I'll be doing an update video as I'm learning as I go along, but overall, this is a great solution to hair loss for all (Men & Women). The channel, Dr. Gary Linkov, also provides really great information on hair loss solutions. Totally recommend!
Your SMP looking good bro! I had my SMP done last month and it was $1700 for 4 sessions in Houston tx. I was balding in crown and on top but I still had a hairline. I was already wearing a zero or #1 at the barbershop. Im 63yrs old and I just wanted to get that more hair coverage look on my head but not looking like Im 25yrs old. Im happy with the results.
Glad I found this video, I think it looks great. Just wondering if there's a way the artist can perform the procedure that makes the smp look like stubble so you can use a trimmer on the tightest settin?
Most certainly can. This is how mine is done. But you have a little flexibility. Lately I've been keeping it really tight, but you usually have a bit of wiggle room if your hair does grow a little. I normally can go about three days before I feel I need to cut my hair again. 😎
You cannot let the remaining natural hair grow too long with SMP, the scalp pigmentation procedure is a one dimensional illusion that looks like hair stubble but if you have natural hair growth more than just slight stubble next to a large area of SMP you can easily tell it’s not natural.
There a few people who do this don't no why make a video but don't say we're tha had it done that's the reason why people watch to see results and what clinic
Just go to *Scalp Micro USA* or another reputable company that can produce a plethora of before-and-after photos. I think Scalp Micro USA has locations in NYC NY, Chicago IL, Houston TX, and Los Angeles CA - basically across the country options for those willing to travel a reasonable distance. There’s a clinic I saw in Orlando FL called *Discreet Cosmetic Studio* that does good work; it’s a woman and, from what I could gather from her site and social media posts, she is TALENTED. There’s also a company named *Taylor Perry SMP* in Hollywood FL. Taylor Perry himself and the other SMP artist there (forgot his name …sorry) are both seemingly good at what they do. There are options out there. I’ve been researching… for a friend. 😂 We have to do our research and lift as we climb, fellas.
Hi Venom, I did have a reaction on the second treatment as well, but thankfully it wasn't as bad. I was also more mentally prepared to expect it. I'm not a medical professional, but I'm guessing it's a temporary immune response, almost allergy-like.

Thank you for sharing. The smp looks really realistic from a distance Would you be able to do a video on other electric shaving options (E.g. 4 head rotator shavers etc)? Appreciate it man!
I got this done and love it. The only thing you did wrong in my opinion was you got the hairline done too straight. It looks a little fake. I got my hairline curved each side. That way it looks more natural. I'd recommend anyone getting it done to go for the curved hairline
Advice is always great for others to take up on because everyone has their own taste. As for myself, I wanted mine to mimic the edge I use to get when I had real hair. Appreciate the feedback Emmet! 🫡
Hell no . I got mine done with the straight edge up and I loved. I'm 41 and now I looked 30 with a smooth hairline. That receding hairline looks goofy and makes you looked old and funny
@@chucknorris2266 It depends on how you get it done and who you get it done by. Someone with plenty of experience and knows what their doing will make the curved hairline look natural. Everybody has a curved hairline naturally so it will look real if done right
Hi ksolis85, How much the procedure cost depends on the amount of work needed. Mine was around $2000. Mine still is looking great, but I've been reading a touch up can be expected anywhere between 3-6 years. I think it depends on how well you take care of it like a tattoo (how well your skin takes the procedure, using sunscreen, sun exposure). 🙂
i have seen several videos, if you leave it 3 days or more unshaved it looks weird. and then if you have to shave or buzz cut every other day, then what's the advantage of SMP? it gives you a hairline that most time they can tell it's fake and you become self-conscious that sb will discover it.
Hi George, You have some excellent points that I certainly agree with. It most likely is true that if you leave it 3 days or more it does look wierd; this is what happens to me. You may not have to shave or buzz everday though. Chances are you can go a day in between without doing so. Personally, I prefer to buzz everyday though, unless I'm sitting at home for the weekend or wearing a cap. However, when buzzed, it looks REALLY GOOD. The only way someone will be able to tell in this situation is if they get very up close to your scalp (as in inches away). But the person looking, has to be paying close attention. Overall, it's a great alternative to the bald look or more complicated processes like surgery. Thanks for stopping by and asking your question. :)
That's a great point as well. I started out by trying to shave my head before doing this procedure, but the problem was my head still looked gray in areas where hair was growing. The procedure allows me to buzz my hair very short, while maintaining an even color appearance. :)

I think only one person noticed but I think it's because I needed a follow-up. It's hard to say because no one else has said anything.
