A bit of a different video this week friends - life has become really chaotic during this house move process... I'm moving into my new house in 2 days!

I've Marie Kondo'ed my wardrobe a few years back too and definitely agree it was...stressful but at the end I felt really good! It never really got to the same bad stage as it was before the first clear out but I'm overdue another one soon. My make up declutter has been on my list for over a month now, need to get on with it. I find my books to be the hardest category though *cries* You did so well!
I tend to do wardrobe clear-outs 1-2 times a year anyway, so it made sense to do it before moving haha.
Yeah books are hard - that's the one thing I disagree about by Marie Kondo.

Yes if books bring you joy then you can keep them. But display them properly amd proudly and treat them well. dont cram them into boxes or hide them away into storage. Watch the bonus clips to youtube which covers owning multiples of an item.

I've been following you for quite some years now and I really like you videos, for their magical contents but mostly for who you are. You seem really nice and fun to be around and your videos bring me joy.
I can see that it can be really hard to finally start over in a new place, far from what you have called home for your whole life. I am still living with my Mum and I am shared between getting my own space and having a say with the decoration and staying with my Mum because I am alone and she is too so it's better to be together. I think that is a good thing that you move out with mates because it can be difficult to be alone everyday at home.
I have done my spring clean out a few weeks ago and it feels better now. I was overwhelmed by all my clothes and I felt as if I was suffocating.

I recommend doing this every couple of years- it makes the task less daunting every time and make you notice your wardrobe in a new way. I’ve gotten rid of so many clothes over the years, and not once have I missed a piece!

I’ve done this a lot and it’s quite cleansing and my sister needs help I’ve recently put clothes in 3 huge totes and one medium sized tote and I’m still having anxiety looking at her clothes. I hope you have an awesome day good luck moving to your new home it’s very magical and beautiful.

I KonMari-ed my wardrobe (and my whole room!) before New Year came around recently! I didn't have that many clothes but it was surprisingly still a large pile and I ended up donating so many of my clothes away! It also helped me figure out what I needed to complete some of my outfits which is always useful! So far one month into the new year and i'm proud to say, my room and wardrobe is still managed! Its definitely a huge weight off my shoulders after i cleaned it and I love being in my room now!
I have that Newt dress and I wear it to work all the time because it can make a bad day feel so much better! Well done on clearing out so many clothes :)

Oh and to answer your question and the end of the video - I've done this, too some weeks ago. I've sorted so many clothes out of my wardrobe I didn't even know I had so much clothes 😂 it was such a good feeling finally only having & seeing clothes in my wardrobe which I actually really like and enjoy wearing! Great thing 🌻

I finally divided my clothes into summer and winter wardrobes, so it's easier to keep up with what I'm liking and actually using versus what doesn't work for me any more.
I'm going to be completely honest here! I will again remind you...I have only recently started following you and I absolutely adore you. I couldn't help but notice that you are not wearing as much make up as usual (btw you always look fantastic and your make-up is flawless) but yet you are still so absolutely gorgeous without it!!...aside from all that... I thought it was brilliant how you really showed us who you are through your closet! You are super cute and fun!

I've just travelled internationally for study (therefore couldn't take much with me/luggage limitations) and had to do a similar getting rid of stuff - I feel you on keeping all the pretty dresses :) They all give me joy!
I love these moving vlogs, we are in the process of building/moving in to a new house (it feels like it’s been going on forever but I think we are FINALLY in the home stretch and should be able to move in, in a months time) and these vlogs gets me excited to start packing haha 👍🏻

I'm so happy you actually did it Marie Kondo style. There have been too many videoes on youtube with peapole saying they did it like Marie Kondo, but really they didn't.

I just did a sort out of my clothes the other day and it was so nice to do! I sort them out by comfortable clothes and if it was an outfit I would wear for an Instagram and it really helped!

I Can Feel You On This Totally. Every Year Or Twice A Year I Clean Out My Closet. I Recently Cleaned Out My Closet 2 Weeks Ago And I Removed Every Single Thing And I Was Like Omg I Didn’t Think I Had That Much Stuff, Yet Us Girls Always Want More. Since I Had Basically Recently Brought A Complete New Wardrobe I’m Like It’s Definitely Time To Get Rid Of Anything I Haven’t Wore In The Past 2 Years Or More And Things That I Know Don’t Fit Definitely Has To Go. I Organized My Closet Beautifully And I Had 3 Big Massive Bags Of Clothes (Lots Of New Clothes With Tags, Lots Of Clothes Only Wore Once Or Twice, And Clothes That Just Didn’t Fit) I Was Going To Drop Them In A Bin To Donate. A Good Friend Of Mine Knew I Did A Clean Out, And She Always Loved My Clothes, And Sometimes When She Stays I Let Her Borrow Clothes As Well. So I Thought Hey Why Not Let Her Look Through It And She Can Pick Out What She Likes And Whatever Is Left I Will Donate It. Needless To Say She Looked Through All My Bags And Basically Took Almost Everything. Out Of The Three Big Bags She Left 1 Half A Bag Of Clothes. She Was So Happy And Kept Thanking Me, She Says That Now She Got A New Wardrobe And Doesn’t Have To Go Shopping Cause She Has So Many Cool Things To Wear. It Made Me Feel So Good That She Was Happy With My Things That I No Longer Could Keep. Now When I Stay Over Or If I Shed A Few Pounds I Can Always Wear One Of The New/Old Items LoL.

I recently watched the whole Marie Kondo Netflix series and I'm currently in the middle of Kondoing my entire family's wardrobe (which is me, hubby & our 4 kids). But here's the thing, over the last several years, when my kids grew out of stuff or when I lost interest in an outfit, shoes, etc., instead of getting rid of it along the way, I've been neatly packing everything into plastic storage tubs and storing it in my basement to "get rid of later, when I have extra time"!😳 Having lots of great storage in one's home can be a double edged sword!🤓 And now it's time for me to pay the piper!😱
First of all, there's NO such thing as "time later"! All the time I "saved" putting off the purging of all our stuff, is now being burned up getting rid of it, now!🙄 And second of all, being such a Clothes Horse is, not only, very bad for the environment, but one's wallet, too!🤑👎
So after I had my hubby bring all the tubs up from the bowels of our home, I hightailed it to Costco (do you have those in the UK?🤔) for some jumbo sized trash bags and then commenced purging! I'm about 2/3 of the way done, and so far I've donated 21 bags of clothing/shoes to charity! Phew!😅
Getting rid of stuff feels SO MUCH BETTER than putting off to later! 😄

I will, at least twice a year, hang my hangers backward. Once I have worn and washed an item I hang it the correct way. If I have not worn it in a few month I donate it. I find it easier and you don’t have to make snap decisions. My boyfriend has also found that this works for him.

I did a good konmari sort out of my wardrobe last week aswell and by the end of it all I donated 3 big bags of clothes and my gosh, it felt great!! I find your insta stories about moving out very relatable Cherry! And its ok to feel all the feels :). I moved out last October and I feel like I'm just starting to feel like my "normal" is finally starting to appear... Meaning, it'll feel weird in the process of moving, it'll be superrr weird once your family leaves your new place after they've helped you move in that day, and just learning to live with new people no matter how close you are is still really weird at first too 😅. But just like everything it takes time :). I hope your move goes smoothly and know that you've got this!! 🙌
