The problem I was having with it was I had to keep changing the 40 40 40 cap. What it was I never thought about it may have been made to run on 110v. Like you said the volts these days is 120v. I swapped out the transformer and didn't have anymore trouble. The old transformer I had it tested. They said it was working fine. Got long winded again. B4 I go how's 23. Haven't him talking to you lately. I used to hear skip coming back to him. Where I live I can't hear him. Happy Holidays.
Volume was good on my end. Just replaced the can capacitor in my TR-27C today. Helped it but still have work to do.I think that I have some bad disc capacitors on some of the tube sockets.
@@tramdr Thanks for the response. One last question, is the mod as simple as leaving four turns of the existing coil, removing the band switch and reconnecting the remaining coill to the other variable cap?

My question is not related to this video but what are the benefits for mono banding a D&A 10 tube amp?
slightly more efficient, which would also mean slightly more power out and more dependable as the problematic band switch would be bypassed.
Elimination of switches in the RF and high voltage paths is always a good thing.

Is sharing information proprietary among technicians. Often it's difficult to get valuable information from experienced techs?
