Hi! I would like to study to EUR next fall. How did you manage to socialise and make friends? I’m really scared to find myself as I’ve always been surrounded
Hey- first of all, huge congrats 😄 As an exchange student we had a facebook group, on there I put out a facebook post introducing myself and asking if anyone would like to be my friend lol... BUT it worked! I met most of my closest friends through that one post.
I would also say join as manyyyy student associations, best place to meet new people. ESN is a good place to start off. If you are from the IBA programme I would definitely recommend STAR, it is a huge student association. I am a part of WBN - something I am quite passionate about and have met so many like minded individuals through that. If you are sporty would advise joining some of the sport associations too!
If your programme has an intro day also go to that! There are probably lots of people in the same boat. I went to eurekaweek, and met so many people too!
Overall, just push yourself out of your comfort zone and join as many things as possible! Hope this helps and you settle in okay next year. Good luck 🍀
