Sony have always been copying what Microsoft been doing in the gaming industry with the best multiplayer experience as well just letting their Xbox studios take their time & make the best video games ever. The last part of Sony CEO/CFO president also said other platforms that means PC mobile cloud & other platforms like Nintendo & Xbox. Everyone is overlooking the other platforms aka Nintendo & Xbox. Sony wants that cash grab like Minecraft candy crush & now sea of thieves. Sony is going full 3rd party & there will not be a ps6 console. PlayStation casual gamers are buying & multiplayer games cod apex legends fortnite & anything else that's cross play with other platforms.
I think Sony will continue producing the Playstation in some capacity. This is Sony, an electronics company after all. This is very different from Microsoft, who has largely been a software company.
@@ohnosmoarlulcatz ok & why these gaming media isn't talking about Sony removing digital games outta the PlayStation gamers library. Also Sony is dealing with that lawsuit in the UK PlayStation digital store by not allowing retailers & 3rd party websites to sell PlayStation CD keys as well over charging their player base on digital purchases/add ons & microtransaction purchases. Sony is losing more money on the software development budget costs then the hardware sales. If Sony is the market leader then why Sony is always copying everything Microsoft is doing in the gaming industry by putting games on all platforms. Again Sony last statement towards putting PlayStation games is other platforms. That's the key point in Sony statement. So Sony is gonna put PlayStation games on Nintendo n Xbox aka other platforms.
@@ByronMorse42 How does any of that matter in this? Sony is an electronics company first. It makes sense for them to continue producing phones, computers, and even gaming consoles. It makes no sense for them to stop producing consoles since they benefit immensely from scale. Gaming has grown to 30% of their overall revenue, but Sony is still primarily an electronics company. Not to mention it still has a sizable market share in NA.
