They should add Fusion Reactors in a future update where you can use Nuclear Pasta to power it without any waste and at an incredibly slow usage rate - like hours and hours and hours of in-game time to use one unit of pasta in a reactor. It should be ludicrously expensive to make it a true end-game building but it would make the switch from nuclear to fusion reactors that much more...
    satisfactory.

Kibitz’ nuclear issues make a very good case for modular circuits even in mega-builds.
If you make closed systems of say-5 power plants and waste processing it’s way easier to troubleshoot and the fix can just be duplicated across modules

best tip is to start by visualizing everything step by step while keeping the end goal in mind.
then for building, focus solely on each step(mining iron and transporting it for example) of the chain and how to build it cleanly.

Foundations are your friend. Come up with a picture of the outside of the factory first, lay out the infrastructure, and just start placing machines down. Spend time using different foundation sizes and shapes, along with lights and signs. It’ll help a lot
