Do you apply your sh and rinse with the M5? And if so do you just go back to your rig and pull your drop stick to stop the sh application? A little confused. Thank you for sharing all your wisdom.
Which injector do you use? I've been trying different brands and right now I'm using an Allison Super Suds Sucker stainless 33%. Claims they have gotten 50% out of them during lab tests. You won't get that real world, but I can definitely tell you I'm pulling more chems than ever before. It makes me move around the house quicker cause I can burn through some SH if I'm not paying attention. I've used 5 other brands and so far this Allison is the one for me. They sell two lower models that I haven't tried yet, but I'm planning on it. One is 27% and the other is 23-24? I'm hoping the stainless will make it last a lot longer. I've had some injectors last three days. Others 8 months. Anyway, which do you prefer?
@@johnpressurewashingpaintin9066 I don't like the xjet. I think they're a pain. I'm still using the stainless Super Suds Sucker. Over a year and it still sucks a ton of soap quick. I'll never use another brand.
Yes I bought an x5 a few years ago. It’s buried in my toolbox somewhere. Never use it. I have gone back to the Assassin and the Guy Blackmon. Just depends on which wand I grab from my trailer. Personally I like the Assassin better. The Davis tip is ok, but it’s overrated. I use a 7.2 gpm machine so honestly it doesn’t matter which tip I use. I hit 4 stories no matter what nozzle I use. I took my Xjet apart and use it with the widest orifice. I use a 15 gallon tank with it, and a 100ft hose so that I’m not constantly dragging my mix all around. Only time I use the Xjet gun is when I clean commercial buildings that require a higher SH%. Doug Rucker has a video showing you how to build the Xjet gun I use. Rarely do I have any issues. Rather than waste money on an Xjet I suggest saving your cash and just buy a higher flow machine. If I had to drop back down to a 4.5gpm machine like I had when I started I’d quit this industry all together.A high flow machine solves almost 99% of most issues in this business.
This may seem very basic but can anyone tell me how to get a hotter mixture with water when using a downstream injector? Change the water to chemical ratio? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Lawerence your clips are giving me insight greatly. I’m over on the middle peninsula and hope to run into ya one of these days. I’d live to show ya my set up! Until then, keep it clean!!

Kyle Davis is selling an long reach nozzle now. It's by far the best long reach nozzle out there. Your stream doesn't atomize so you get a longer reach than all the other long reach nozzles. Better than the Assassin and def better than the Ladder Saver. Also better than the M5. Look it up. They're $25...
I bought an M5 last year. After you get used to it I think its pretty kick ass. It can be weak compared to a good .0050 spray jet tip. Never cared much for the Assassin. I have one screwed into a Jrod but it doesn't see much action...For a standard size house the M5 is great....
@@bmlandmanagementco4981 By standard size I meant an average 2 story house. You can easily shoot above the gutters. I use a 5gpm machine for residential jobs, and I use a 4ft wand. With 3 story houses I sometimes have to use my 9ft extension wand depending on how bad they are.
maz man I use about 3 gallons of water 2 gallons of 12.5% Bleach with about 3-4oz of soap mixed together for downstreaming sometimes if it’s colder outside I add more bleach
maz man, 4gal. water, 1 gal. SH sounds very weak, but whatever works man. That’s for you to learn through trial and error. I think we all start out keeping it weak to save money, but we all eventually learn that we need to mix it hotter.
JoeDIY&Rentals it depends on the temperature, the warmer the temperature the SH reacts and cleans faster especially during the summer. Normally I would use about 1/3 SH and 2/3 Water during the warmer months but as the temperatures cools during late fall and early winter you want a stronger mix like 1/2 SH and 1/2 water for a 5.5 gpm machine, this is based on 12.5% SH but if your using a less percentage SH like 10% or less than you would need to adjust by adding more SH
Thanks a lot man. I been looking for a new machine and the 5.5 is only $100 more. I been using a 50/50 mix with 12.5 so I think ill stick with it. Here in Missouri it seems to work well. I think ill water it down in mid summer like you said. Thank you!
The xjet is a pain in the ass. How much chemical you use will depend on which color orifice you use. In my opinion downstreaming is the way to go. I've been doing it that way for 15 years and it serves me well.

I like using the twist nozzle works very good. Also I have a Guy Blackman Shooter Tip well built but you can go to Lowe’s and buy a pink colored tip for $12 and it will do the exact same thing as the shooter tip. Also www.watercannon.com has these twist nozzles at a fairly good price and I believe you need to get one that’s specific of your machines gpm. I see you have a shut off valve can I ask what the benefit of that is thanks for the videos
Steven Mendez the ball shut off valve attached to the gun is handy for many uses. Before starting my machines I open that valve wide open on and lay it on the ground with no gun attached then start the machine which pushes all the air out of the lines to get full water flow before shutting off the valve then attaching the gun. Also the shut off valve allows you to switch over from a gun to a surface cleaner and vise versa without shutting your machine off. You can also rinse and soap with just the valve with gained practice and experience.
How do you make a cut off valve and can all this been done with a 4gpm soft wash system. I always hear you talk about both the pressure washer and soft washer. I’m guessing soft washer for roof only and pressure washer for house? Tku
A lot of them are underrated. I have a Cat that is rated at 4.8 @3000psi. I get close to 5.5 easy. Especially if I'm somewhere with strong water pressure.
The assassin nozzle is the worst shooter tip made. Its aluminum so it pits and the path for the water is not hydrodynamic at all. I had 2 of them and cut the internals on a 3d cnc correctly. I did not change the orifice size just the h20 inlet collection. I posted videos on some of the facebook pages hoping the maker would get the point. As far as the 2 banger vs 4 everyone needs 1 soap and rinse low tip, 2 rinse and soap high tip, 3 super long range shooter/ blaster tip for bees nest and 4 a bit more powerful 25 to 15 fan tip 10 to 30 size orifice depending on your gpm 4 to 10 and thats for concrete boarders and rinsing flat work. Some will need more than 4 (I use 2 3 bangers) no one needs less unless you are a booster pump guy. The m5 twist just has minimal distance and not enough ass behind it for my washing but it is efficient so I keep it in the arsenal. 5.5 gpm like you got about a .164 1000’s is perfect orifice size. For reference the assassin was a .156 or .157 I believe on the index chart. A 0040 is a .155 if I remember correctly. Hope some of this helps.
