The prices at Goodwill are absurd. They are higher than retail in my area that's why I don't shop there. I guess that's why no one is in there.😖

Oh MY! First of all, thank you for all your hard work on your videos. Second - I used to like thrifting at Goodwill, but no more! They have raised their prices so much it is crazy. It is no longer a place for people needing gently used affordable goods to find more bang for their buck! My .02. God bless....

‘It’s not very big’ - had to chuckle because in comparison to the charity shops here in the UK, that store is absolutely humongous, like an airplane hangar! $1000 for a coffee table is ridiculous in any shop let alone a second hand shop! Think that price tag would’ve elicited some expletives had I seen it in the flesh! Ha. Anyways, thanks for these vids and your soothing voice/accent, helps me sleep when nothing else works. Xxx
I know there's quite a big Cancer Research near me in Manchester but imagine if British Heart Foundation or Sally Army was this big 😅
@@JayOhEff the biggest one I've been to in England was in Maldon, Essex. It was probably a third of the size of the one in vid. Cheap too....no ostentatious coffee tables the price of a kidney, either! Ha.
I would fly to America,just to shop in the Goodwill stores there.😊 I definitely wouldnt pay 1,000 dollars of pounds for any table table though😮

It is not the Goodwill’s job to keep up with retailers and small businesses. I understand the demand, however, they’re completely going against helping people who are less fortunate, financially.

This was huge compared to most thrift stores in the UK! We call them charity shops. Most of ours in an average sized town would be about the size of the ground floor of your house. Prices have gone up in the ones here too in recent times.

Charity shop prices can get a bit insane over this side if the pond too, esp the more boutique or specialist ones, I did score a entire Panasonic HiFi for £25 recently but it's just luck and looking and thrifting sometimes miles from home.
I bought that EXACT SAME IRON at goodwill here in Iowa a month ago. I wanted it for my college apartment. It smelled SO bad when I plugged it in, that I immediately threw it away 😂.
Gosh, I haven’t been to North Myrtle in a few years. That, and Saint Simons Island in Georgia have to be some of the best vacation spots I’ve been to.
I have not been to MB in a few yrs .. been to Hilton Head island and we do a fam Vaca to the NC OBX every yr in the summer went in Nov last yr too and this yr have been twice and one of those times we stayed on Ocracoke island! ❤❤❤❤

Goodwill has lost their minds lol. I don't shop there anymore. Gouging prices on donated items because of resellers is honestly gross. There are some resellers who sell destroyed Nike shirts or stained Carhartt jackets at insane prices but most resellers enjoy thrifting as a hobby and don't charge hundreds of dollars for literal trash. So the fact that Goodwill is pricing donated tables at $1,000 or broken ceramics at $10 is wild.

Anyone know what those tables would actually be worth? As a kid my parents got shoes from goodwill rarely. As an adult I realize that's like buying used underwear
