🤗 I enjoyed the visit Christina! Yours and your mother’s projects were lovely, thank you for sharing. I thought your spool display was such a good idea! Take care.❤️
Hi Christine. So good to see you again! It has been too long. Love the samplers you stitched for you grandmothers. I love the name Millicent! My mother hates her middle name too. I love old fashioned names. The gifts for your birthday exchange were wonderful...given and received. Hope you don't stay away as long this time. 😃
Welcome back Christina, you have been missed. I love all your projects so pretty and such a nice tribute to your grandparents. Your Moms pictures are gorgeous. I say frame them and get them on a wall. They are much to pretty to be put away and not enjoyed. I look forward to your next video. Stay safe and take care!!!
Snowman! It is 99 degrees here today. Yes, the snowman needs to visit me.! I promise I won't let him melt! I enjoy stories of your mother which makes me miss my own. Lovely episode today
An enjoyable video loved your mums stitching projects and all of yours as well, beautiful treasures to have, lovely sampler of your nana, have a good week Thankyou for sharing 👍🪡🇳🇿
Hello! I just loved hearing you speak of your grandparents. Today happens to be the anniversary of my “favorite” grandmother’s passing…34 years…I totally understand what you mean by thinking about them all every day. I knew both my grandmothers and one of my grandfathers, and I spent a great deal of time with them during my childhood / young adulthood. I, too, would not be who I am today without them all and their love. :) Looking forward to your next Flosstube…oh, and happy belated birthday! :) ~Kim
Thank you for your kind comment, Kimberly! My grandparents were such a huge part of my life. It’s so lovely to read how much of an impact your grandparents had on your life too. 💗
Nice to see you Christina! Lovely video! I enjoyed seeing your moms stitching, your darling exchange pieces (happy belated birthday!) and I love your giant spool display! Just brilliant!
How lovely to see you again! You have been missed! Not fair you know…you get me hooked on your videos and then disappeared. So good to know all is well with you and you are back on track. Happy belated birthday. It would seem you received some wonderful gifts. I do like the idea of stitching tributes to your grandparents. More and more I am leaning in that direction as well. You ornaments are so soft and frosty looking. I love them.. don’t be a stranger.
Christina!!! I LOVE your jumper, and of course, your stitching! I’m happy that you rescued your Mum’s mime from the corner! She does some incredible stitching. The samplers you did for your grandmothers are beautiful! I’m certain they’d be very proud of your work (and we’re so very fortunate that you share it with us!)
It was so fabulous to see you! Thanks for sharing yours (and your mom's) beautiful finishes! It is so wonderful to dedicate samplers to our loved ones - makes them even more special! Thanks as always and happy stitching Christine!
I felt so bad for your mom when you told us about her disqualification sticker for being 2 stitches over on her piece. I love when you share photos and stories of your family members. How lovely to honor them with a sampler😊
Thank you, Maureen! Yes, it was such as shame about Mam’s disqualification sticker. But, as with most things life throws at us, we deal with it with humour! And, all was not lost…her chocolate cake won first prize! 🥇
Lovely to watch another podcast Christina, your Mams stitching is beautiful. I love how you’ve stitched the samplers for both of your Grandma’s, it’s inspired me to do the same, I love them❤️
Always a treat to receive notice of one of your videos!! Such beautiful stitching and finishes. So appreciate your time in making and sharing these videos. Happy stitches
What lovely pieces of work you’ve shown in the video. I wish I could stitch like that. Love your samplers and the history behind them, so interesting. Look forward to the next video.
Lovely to see you again, I just love your accent. Your pieces for your grandparents are so lovely, what a precious tribute! Blessings from South Africa,
So happy to see you! Your videos are so calming and enjoyable. LOVED your stitch for April.... :) I need to get that chart pronto! And I love the idea of the samplers for your grandparents.... I need to think more on this! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I love the idea of the sampler stitches for your grandmothers! I am now going to search for some samplers to stitch to honor my own grandmothers as well. :)
We missed you Christina! Lovely to see you and your beautiful stitching (and your mums stitching too!) I call Sue's envelopes Purple Packages of Pleasure! Looking forward to seeing your new releases 💜💜💜
Snow Days is gorgeous! The fabric is a pretty color. Love all of your finishes. The Luminous Fiber Arts piece is adorable. I have Gathering Berries that I am working on. Have a wonderful week!
Just had a purple envelope drop onto the mat this afternoon, love them! I have the Snow Days by Mirabilia, it's been in my stash for years but after seeing yours finished I may have to pull it out for my winter start ☃ Off to find your back videos to watch whilst stitching😀
How disappointing for your mother! I'd have been crushed. What a great birthday gift from your birthday buddy! I love it! Another great video - I'm close to catching up on your videos! My daughter has grey eyes! I guess that's what you get from a brown eyed dad and a blue/green eyed mom...
Lol. You’ve almost caught up! I bet you’re sick of the sight of me now! 😉 I love grey eyes. My husband and I both have green eyes and we have; a daughter with blue eyes, a son with hazel eyes and a younger daughter with green eyes?!
@@WhilstIrisNaps No, I'm definitely not tired of watching! Almost have my daughter's last gift finished! Thanks for the company and showing all those extra touches! I followed your examples and stitched a blackbird and the year on the back before I assembled the floss keep - 1 over 1 on 32 count linen (for the back bit)! I do wish my stitches looked as nice as yours, but I hope many years from now it will be a cherished memento of momma and those imperfections will make it that much more treasured! Merry Yule!
Thanks for another great video, Christina. I always enjoy seeing your stitching, plans, exchanges and treasures 💙 P.S. your Mom’s stitching is beautiful, she should really have it framed!
So glad you were back! I always enjoy your videos. Can you do a floss tube on how you design? Would love some ideas on how to get started. Thanks a bunch!
Great to see you again, Love all your goodies. The blue silk floss is lovely and probably stitched like butter. I have a piece I did years ago in silk and loved every stitch.
That was such a wonderful FT. I love how you honor your family members in stitching and share their photos. It is truly heartwarming. It is also very inspiring so thank you so much!
So good to see you!! I have missed seeing you! I love seeing your mum’s stitching and loved seeing all of yours, along with pictures of family and the dedication stitches. I need to do that for a grandmother who taught me to embroider as a small child, I think I was six but I can’t rightly remember. I love your ornaments and your box finish, great idea! You have a good week! 💐
So delightful to see you and learn what you've been up to recently. Isn't that Chester's Blue a wonderful color? I was so surprised when Sharon of Crescent Colors (now Classic Colorworks) told me she had named it after me. Hope you have a good couple of weeks.
Oh yes, I love those purple envelopes dropping through from Peakside! Funnily enough, the last one contained linen and threads for Agnes Lyle 😀 - and what a lovely sampler, I’m really enjoying the stitch, even if she does keep us on our toes with the counting! 😬
We all love a purple envelope don’t we, Jean?! 💜 I’m so pleased to hear that you are enjoying stitching Agnes’s sampler. Oh yes, I do remember that wee Aggie wasn’t a fan of symmetry and appeared to be making it up as she stitched along! 😉
I love your videos. I loved a gingerbread stitch you showed some time ago. I am thinking you might have designed it? I think you mentioned doing a tree with all gingerbread things? I hope you do! 🍒🍒🍒
Lovely video! Enjoyed seeing all those cute boxes you’re going to stitch covers for. If you want something larger, there’s a wooden box by IKEA. It’s called Mallgroda. I’ve bought in the US. I imagine there’s a UK IKEA where you might find it. It’s a very nice quality.
I have that booklet!! I have only stitched a couple of things from it…. Not the mime though. I think that your mom did a wonderful job and I can’t believe that she was disqualified for just two stitches too wide… How sad and frustrating for her. Those patterns in the booklet are not super easy to stitch because there’s so much back stitching in them… At least that’s what I remember when I see the booklet. 😊
Yes!! An awful lot of backstitch! My mam doesn't seem to mind that, however. I, on the other hand, hate it! It was very frustrating for her to be disqualified. But she did win first prize for her chocolate cake, so all was not lost! 😉
Your mom's stitching is beautiful.. I hope the sting of the disqualification of thr mime has passed; he's gorgeous. My parents had many similar glass ornaments for their tree when I was small.. they were always left for Santa to put on the tree. I think my mom still has some of them; she has a much smaller tree these days so she rotates the decorations each year.
Thank you so much, Paula! Luckily, my mam won 1st prize for her chocolate cake, so the fair wasn't a total write off! 😉 Your parents' tree sounds lovely. I love that you allowed Santa to add the ornaments to the tree. What a wonderful tradition!
Another fabulous Flosstube Christina, looking forward to your new releases. I will finish Matilda this year, promise. If you didn’t know Ally and I now have our own Flosstube and your reproductions do feature a lot ha ha, you need to check us out when you get chance, your Stitchy friend Ellie K xxx
Didn't you show an antique piece with a big windmill? I can't find it on your video and wanted to see it again. I look forward to purchasing a pattern for it.
Great to see you! Having researched my family tree, I want to do a sampler for my 4 great grandmothers too - I am planning on using Michelle’s (Mommalovesyougb) unfinished sampler chart to include their names and a flower motif - when I get around to charting it!!
🤗 I enjoyed the visit Christina! Yours and your mother’s projects were lovely, thank you for sharing. I thought your spool display was such a good idea! Take care.❤️
Thank you, Carlene! 💗 I will need to find another huge spool to display the rest of my spool samplers…I can only squeeze 4 onto it! 😉
It was so nice to see you again. You have had some lovely finishes. I love the smaller, simpler sampler for your grandmother.
Thank you, Susan! 💙 I really enjoyed stitching it.

Thank you, Katherine! 💗 Yes, I agree, they need to be framed. The Mandolin Mime will be a talking point, I’m sure! ☺️
Adapting a chart is very human. After all we’re not copying machines. And yes It’s a frame worthy ♥️
I agree, Nouf. 💙

My 7th great grandfather was Robert Waddell from the UK (1653-1725)😱
Oh, fabulous! Was he from Scotland? My Waddell ancestors were from Stirlingshire in Scotland. 🏴
Looks like they were from Lanarkshire area. My mom was a Campbell and I was able to trace back to 420 to 500 from the Argyle area
My mum Myra SHELKER was born in February 1922. Myra must of been a popular name then
It must have! 💕 It's a very pretty name.
