Arkwright and Granville say no more....one of my favourites.
Played by two legends
This and when "Granville" ( David Jason) joined him in the shop was pure gold comedy, a hint of naughty but but a full load on humour brilliant series.
I remember watching this episode when I was a kid, fantastic, wonderful humour still makes me chuckle 40+ years later 😂
Brilliant Comedy 👏 in the days of " It ain't Half Hot,Mum" ; " The Good Life" ; " Rising Damp" ; "Porridge" and " Dad's Army".

Every time I watch another episode of Open All Hours is such a treat. For some reason though Facebook filtering on that platform seems to think that series is way too political. Oh well. I can watch it anyway whle I am living in a neighborhood with a lot of mature fruit trees.

I trap mustelids (ferrets, stoats, weasels) and rats to protect native birds. They do eat each other - not carnally but I'll keep an eye out for "weats" and "stats."
The problem is that stats are very good at camouflage.. In fact they are all around us:

It is like in a documentary on the Nepal earthquake with those frightful hoards of well equipped Everest climbing tourists clustered in Base Camp 1, eager to join the queue to the peak. When it was pointed it was rather a sign of affluence one interviewee said that some of the people were 'delightfully ordinary' or words to that effect.
The wonderful Madge Hindle, still going strong at 84 .....

i recall this episode. he talked her into buying frat oil.
Frat oil was used for the lamp he sold her, for keeping away the frats, classic Arkwright.
This was funny! The recent sequel with Jason and Company was not. Far from it.
