16:46 this is a subtle reference to how in the show, yin is the lighter half and yang is the darker half, which is wrong. Because in real life, yin is the darker half and yang is the lighter half.
An actually good body swap episode is always a joy to see! Those aren't too common from my experience. Oh also there was a non-canon short released between episodes called Inanimate Insanity and BFDI Meet Up, which was uploaded on both channels but they are both different. Just thought I'd let you know.
Fun fact regarding the bow situation: In some episodes of season 2 you could see in the background of test tube's labs that one of her inventions was the one that made Bowbot come back to life, that and Fan's reaction when Mephone could not bring Bow back makes the whole thing make much more sense
And now we fully get to talk about possibly my favorite character in media: BowBot. These characters were voted by popularity into the show, and one of the ones to get enough votes was Bow. But given she was dead, they had to get clever with how to include her. One of the old ideas was Bow using a VR helmet to project herself onto the island, but I think this robotic route was perfect as it tied everything together It makes complete sense that Fan wouldn’t have gotten over letting Shimmer go easily, and of course Test Tube would want to help him given the two raised them together and care about each other. And this ties back to both them in the Mansion and Test Tube’s Bowinator in her lab. But it also shows them kinda acting in reverse with Fan being the one to want to tell their creation their origins but Test Tube being afraid to while before it was Fan afraid of change. BowBot’s arc is also supposed to be an allegory for being trans/Non-binary which hit me extremely hard given I discovered I was non-binary this year. They were initially seen as someone else but felt uncomfortable in their body and that they weren’t the person even their parents thought them as. Hence what they talk about with the body swapping and how they aren’t Bow. I think it’ll become more obvious later on this is what it is, but this episode had me in awe at the end. Helps body swapping is my favorite episode trope
