I would love to talk to these guys my grandfather was a lieutenant in 4th ranger company for the munsan ni jump and the dam mission? With 187th joint mission. He spoke often of how awesome and amazing men from second company fought. Took a group up, using any ammo he could and eventually just his K bar. His medic was a conscientious objector until my grandfather had his rifle thrown by a Grenade. he took shrapnel to the jaw and throat. Still alive a Korean soldier then stabbed his groin area with a bayonet. He grabbed the guys hands so he couldn’t squeeze the trigger. Seeing him pinned down his medic broke his oath and killed the Korean holding grandpa down. He earned the name “iron mike” for that mission got a silver star and some others. The 187th was pissed he assaulted what he did I guess they were suppose to do it with at least a company sized element. He did it with a squad in told. He often spoke about the 2nd company and how BAD ASS they were. If anyone at all knows someone still alive from the 2nd or even 4th I would so love to speak with them. I have some Korean soldier clothing etc grandpa took off the dead that mission (I’m told). Poncho cloth type and helmet. If anyone has family from the 2nd or they mission at all pls contact me by replying please. He’s gone now died four years ago. He went on to command the unit from Ft Campbell that became Geronimo when it switched from 101st to 173rd in Vietnam. ADC of 82nd. Commanded fifth group for two years in Vietnam saving special forces and later commanding JFKSWC. I cannot immagine the troubles black soldiers had to go through and how many would have earned what grandpa did but never got recognized for it because they were black. He use yo tell me a lot about it. I myself served as a medic because of that story. Love and respect for the absolute amazing men who served with 2nd ranger company then.
Wished That There Was A Movie About These Guys! Done Documentary Style Too With Old School Special Effects! Not Exgeratted Bloodshed Like The Movie "Fury."
Make a full length feature film about them... BUT DON'T CAST RAPPERS IN IT!!! Please cast the type of Black man WHO has had to be "Twice as good" Wood Harris and Anthony Mackie would be excellent as part of the cast. And offer some opportunities to new talent like Ora and Fatty from the recent reality series, The Ultimate Cowboy Showdown.
I'm not a fan of rappers getting important roles. However I have to say that T.I. is very charismatic on the screen. Besides him, my choices would be Jonathan Majors, Mahershala Ali, Kofi Siriboe and Isaiah Washington as a key leader.
@@chadtep7571 M. Ali was good in The Green Book, and could've been GREAT in True Detective III but for some reason his character mumbled his lines and I found myself constantly having to rewind and read the Direct TV subtitles. I only recognized Isaiah Washington's name in the others you've listed... I guess he's ok, him and any of the cast in Get On The Bus would be good picks. "T.I."? is that the cat from the Compton film? If it is, he would have to shave off the beard, but wouldn't he receive death threats from his "set" for covering up his facial tattoos? which he would definitely have to do for an authentic period specific film about the U.S. Army Rangers!
Thanks for paving the way us all African Americans Past Present and future in Special Operations
WE NEED MORE ON THIS AND THEY NEED THEIR STORY TOLD

Do a story on the 555 unit also known as “The Triple Nickel.”
You have to work twice as hard to go half as high. And then the story gets buried... God bless the unit.
