Great video as always and most helpful. I have the mini 3 pro and just working my way through the functions. An odd thing I’ve found in that the zoom wheel doesn’t function when in 48 megapixel mode. Can’t find any reference to this anywhere. Can you help? Cheers!

I been seeing alot of videos today regarding the 10bit cinelike mode. At first I thought it wasn't true but then I saw loads of videos including this that you confirmed it. That's an insane upgrade for colour graders. I'm glad it's improving.

Upgrading my mini 2 to the 3 in a few weeks, looking at the map in the bottom left, can this still be used as a live map with the controller with built in screen as it’s what I’m used to from the app on the phone, great videos especially the Blackpool one, always too windy when I’m there

Great Video. But why did you skipped the stick control options on the remote. They are very important to a lot of people who also fly helicopters. I fly with reversed throttle so I need to set a custom mode. However this feature doesn't seem to work on android based remote controls because it will not save the settings you make. Could you please find out if this will work on this new controller?

Hey Darren i noticed a stealthy change, they got rid of the format option and replaced it to size option some thing like 4:3 and 16:9 what should we select?
Thank you for the info Darren, may I ask is there anyway to keep the front lights the drone when I press record its annoying then they turn off. My original mavic pro from 2017 used to do the same thing until the firmware was updated. I've looked but can't find anything to keep the lights on, I'm using the same controller as you with the screen. Am I missing something or do you think it could come in an update later.

If you are going to film D-Cinelike, is there only a choice between 400 and 800 with regard to the ISO? That is (still) the case with the Mavic3.

It’s brilliant!
Had my first flight yesterday. Although not my first drone, it is my first camera drone.
While playing around with everything on the screen, I figured out how to tilt the gimbal by swiping up and down.
Right as my battery was running down, something else popped up as I was touching the screen... That was a kind of a sun 🌞 looking symbol... But didn't figure it out before landing. Exposure maybe?
I think I may have seen something else on a video regarding a push on screen function, but I've seen so many videos now I can't remember if it was this drone or something else.
Thanks to your videos, I was able to fly the drone and recover it in one piece.

I have a problem hope you can help me.
When I record the footage in D-cinelike than I can't play this on my Mac Pro, beside this the footage has a pink glow. I brought the drone back to my dealer, they send it to a repair shop from DJI. Yesterday I got a new one but I still have the same problem. When I shoot in normal mode that everything is perfect.

Good run through Darren. Disable sideways flight will save your butt in some situations, I use it on Air 2 when needed, but some situations it won't work and ends up same as brake, essentially.

10bit is so good, I tested it in Spain, its perfect
In using the D-Cinelike mode, is it better to use an ND Filter?
10 bit should eliminate those banding issues that can appear on soft gradients. 👍

I’m sorry but I’m still unsure of the Wi-Fi/phone hot spot bit. I need a connection to my phone to update home point? What if that’s not available?
This is where I need the most help with exposure, especially doing the pro settings
Please can you do your gimbal settings in a video as you said copy and paste these setting but it's impossible as you scroll through them too quickly , thanks
got mine thursday and loving it - have had most other dji drones in the past but love the image quality and video quality from this little chap - 48 MPixels images are nearly as good as my Somy A7R4 !! One question is that in 4K60 while panning smoothly horizontally I sometimes get glitching in the resultant video - any ideas ? buffering to slow sd card perhaps?

I need your expertise on the numbers on height (H) given on the display on the Dji RC for my Mini 3 pro. I’m trying to make videos of boats, especially sailing boats. The issue that I have is that I would like to get an accurate reading on height (H) above sea level on the display to prevent landing in the water or hitting parts of the rigg of the boat when flying above the boat. A sailing boat has wires to keep the rigg in position and antennas on top of the mast for communication and they are “invisible” to the drone.
I have figured out that the height (H) numbers given on the display is relative to the level of the starting point of the flight. My way of solving this, if I’m not able to start near sea level, is to land on something with little hight above the water level to zero out the hight on the drone. The readings are really accurate, so I feel that I can trust in them. You mention that the measuring sensors are not working 100% when above water. I know the measuring system starts to give information when approaching the surface below the drone.
Is there another way to get (H) to show actual height above sea level?

hi, my screen doesn't show resolution in lower right , it has storage and format. Trying to enable the obstacle avoidance which shows in red at top of screen.

Very good walkthrough viseo. Nice work again Darren. One notice only. You dont need wifi/internet for setting the home point either automatic or manual. For manual You need internet only at the beggining to download the map. By the way DJI needs to add auto re home point mode for active track.

Have you tested the return to home accuracy? I don’t own a previous version of the mini and waiting on the Mini 3 Pro to be shipped. I’m wondering if RTH accuracy is better on the 3 than it is on the 2!
