The kids without resources are lacking the two most important resources: a responsible mom and dad.

Many inner city students live in area known as “food deserts “. I worked in a section of town where those who did not have an automobile would not be able to access good food at best. They could get some unhealthy junk food and that was it.

America doesn't have the most starving children in the world. Even people living in extreme poverty in America live and eat better than those living in poverty in other countries. You will never fund an obese poor person outside of America. Please stop believing everything you hear without doing some research.

Really? Than why is childhood obesity so high in the US? I like Charleston White. But whatever “starvation statistic” he’s looking at is skewed. Trust me, there’s more starving kids in Haiti, Niger, Uganda, Congo, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe etc. I could go on and on. Poverty in US pales in comparison to most of the rest of the world. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve attention or isn’t a problem, but food banks and stamps exist and if you’re genuinely starving someone WILL feed you. Honestly, I would consider the nutritional value of the food children in America are consuming is actually more of a problem than the lack of access to it imo.

There's no excuse for children to be hungry in the USA. There are way too many resources for the parents to obtain food. The only excuse I can think of is parental addiction and no other family members to help out.

Sorry, laughably inaccurate. Free food everywhere if you're willing to stand in line on certain days. Ridiculous amount of free food. That's lazy parents if the kids are hungry. I know. I got free food when I wanted it, without food stamps

Maybe in urban areas, but not in rural more spread out areas like in Appalachians and deep south. Not everyone experience life the same, not everyone grew up under your exact circumstances. So you can't say it's inaccurate just because it didn't happen to you. You even said and admitted some people just don't give a fuck about their kids, so blessed be you that your people gave a fuck about you enough to do whatever to feed you even they couldn't afford it

@@Nothingnessf I live in a rural area of a population under 2,000. We have 2 food banks within our small community and several churches that are always doing community outreach. We also have a program through our school system that discreetly sends none perishable food home wkly in backpacks for all children living in families that receive government assistance or qualify for free or reduced lunch.
