I would love if in some of your videos you talked about books and actually made it spoiler-y, because when I see you read a book I've read i get so excited to hear your thoughts on certain things or characters within, but in your wrap ups you're always spoiler free and all your review videos are also spoiler free, so i feel like we're never getting all your thoughts on a book really other than a general "i loved it" type of review. Does that even make sense idk LOL but you could always do "skip ahead to x:x if you haven't read this book" for some books in your wrap ups so we can hear some thoughts that are spoilery!
This kind of book was what I needed to get out of my reading slum. It is all about opinion and everyone is going to have different ideas on what makes a book great. If you like me we’re looking for a book that will jumpstart your reading interest then give it a try.
The song of the lioness quartet starting with Alanna the first adventure is the first part to the world of Tamora Pierce. Wild Magic is the first book of the immortals quartet which comes after the above.
Your enthusiasm for Scythe by Neal Shusterman made me pick it up, and I absolutely loved it! It was amazing and just as good as you said it would be. Thanks for the recommendation! Please choose Nevernight as your next Perusetopia book club pick! I’ve been meaning to read it too but haven’t gotten around to it.
over the past few weeks i picked up wintersong, reign of the fallen, and glass sword which i’m currently in the middle of and absolutely loving, even more so than red queen. i need to get like all of the books you hauled asap they’re all so interesting
I just read Nevernight a few weeks ago and it just blew me away, by far my favourite book of 2018 so far. It is absolutely perfect for you, I know once you pick it up you are going to love it.
I had been having a pretty bad day and your optimism never fails to make me feel a little better. Love you so much! (I'm reading Scythe btw because you talk about it in your videos so much, and I love it so far!)
If you like Tamora Pierce you should look into The Song of the Lioness quartet. It’s the first series she wrote set in the world of Tortall. She wrote it in the 80’s, so the writing is different than her more recent works.
OMG, you picked up Godsgrave?! Yess! (Be sure to grab Nevernight too, I found a signed copy with Jay's signature inside at Half Price Books for 12 dollars). That series is everything! And I'm also waiting to get Dread Nation too, especially after Walking Dead's over. :)
Love Tamora Pierce haven't read her latest yet. You might also look for the Lioness Quartet by her, starting with Alanna's Adventure. Read Obsidio from the library and put it on my must have list then reread the first two books. Also oddly did check out serpent of Venice as well, it was on my book a day calender and sounded intresting.
I wish you much luck with The Serpent of Venice. I read that book 2 years ago now, I think, and ended up DNFing it for reasons that I won't list because spoilers. Hopefully you and / or Clay like it better than I did!
Annihilation is not a tv show but a movie. The book and the movie are very very different from on another but both are equally interesting. I recommend! 😊
OMG!!!!! @PeruseProject YEEEEES! Wild magic is my favourite book OF ALL TIME! Also I'm so glad you also call her Diane because I thought it was that until I listened to the audio book and realized its Daine so the i and a are switched and because it's so close I thought it was Diane. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and do!!!!
I bought way too many books this month. Some of them are classics because I feel like I’m missing out because I haven’t read a lot of classics in my life. I also picked up You, Scythe, The Power, the whole Darker Shade of Magic trilogy and a lot more! I’m currently reading You and it’s so good and creepy.
I think you’re the only one that didn’t mention the little mermaid in a description for to kill a kingdom and actually gave more background to the plot and I’m actually really interested in reading it now
Curious to see what you think of Dread Nation. I was very highly anticipating it, and it was a let down for me. Not enough world building, history, or zombies.
Do you keep a book journal? My grandma kept one for all of the books she read, then my mom, and now me! I'm over 100 now and I've been logging them since middle school
I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on Annihilation. It's bizarre but riveting. As far as the recent adaptation goes, it's a movie that's already on Netflix (internationally). Keep in mind though that the movie went into production before the first novel was even published - the director just had an outline of the story - so the movie and the book are fairly different and the movie is meant to be a standalone, not the first in a trilogy.
I got my hair styled like yours, Reagan :) I know that sounds incredibly creepy, but when it was done it looked a lot like yours (which I didn’t expect) and I really like yours, so yeah ☺️
I'm not sure if you know, but To Kill a Kingdom is a retelling of The Little Mermaid, the book sounds wonderful and I do own it and hope to read it soon.
Patricia Pratt the book was really boring - I hope it would be good but it's basically the same as every YA book out there - the characters weren't unique they were boring and cliché - prince who doesn't want be a prince, a girl whose beautiful, mysterious and deadly - it's very samey - really disappointed lol
So I am pretty sure the movie annihilation is based on the entire trilogy: annihilation, authority, and acceptance. I’m just starting to read the trilogy bind-up, so I’m not totally sure.
Was Three Dark Crowns originally a duology?? Did I make that up? lol. Can't wait for more Marisha Pessl!!! Have you read anything other than Night Film from her? I've only read NF, but I know she has some others.
I didn’t realize you had a bookoutlet page as well! I will make sure to shop through your page from now on! EDIT I don’t see the link to it? Just book depository
Hey Reagan!!! I just started THE WAY OF KINGS by Brandon Sanderson two days ago and it is so good!! I’m only 60 pages in but you have to read it soon!!!!
Hi, I love your books but I thought I would clarify a couple of things: the book is called "The Song of Achilles", the other book by Homer is "The Iliad", and Nevernight is not Mia's journal, the footnotes are Jay Kristoff saying stuff, it is just Mia going through her life in a trial/school based setting.
Please know that the movie and the book of annihilation are very different. I enjoyed both but for different reasons. It is a very loose adaptation so I don’t think you necessarily need to read the book before you see the movie.
Amazing video 😊😊 Very jealous of the haul 😂😊 I was wondering how to find out more about the giveaway xx I can’t find it via your Instagram 😊 xx To kill a kingdom took me by surprise as I really loved it!!! Xx
I finished Godsgrave not too long ago and really loved it. The third book in the series is called ‘Dark Dawn’ and I can’t wait to read it! If you like vampire books one I would recommend is ‘The Radleys’ by Matt Haig. It’s equal parts adult fiction and horror. It’s really great! 😊
honestly... I'm so broke rn that I'm vicariously living the book buying life through booktubers
Jaedyn same 😂
Amen!!!
I hear you
me
Jaedyn Me too. I also have a list of books that I want to read and a list of books that I want to buy when I can. 😊
To Kill a Kingdom sounds fantastic...
That's what I'm thing too! It sounds like a twisted retelling of Little Mermaid
Tess Avery Books it is!!!!
It was awesome, it is now one of my favorite books.
It wasn't really that good - plot and descriptions were basic - characters cliché and forgettable
This kind of book was what I needed to get out of my reading slum. It is all about opinion and everyone is going to have different ideas on what makes a book great. If you like me we’re looking for a book that will jumpstart your reading interest then give it a try.
To kill a kingdom sounds really good. The little mermaid retelling was my favorite out of Leigh Bardugo’s short stories ❤️

Im so excited, I just started three dark crowns!
meghan lowry That book was so good!! I loved it so much!
I just read Nevernight a few weeks ago and it just blew me away, by far my favourite book of 2018 so far. It is absolutely perfect for you, I know once you pick it up you are going to love it.
I loved Oliver Twist so Olivia Twist sounds really good! I have a lot of Tamora Pierce's books. I am excited to try them.
I love that Circe gets so much attention at the moment! And Regan, you HAVE to read The Song of Achilles soon, it's sooo good!
I had been having a pretty bad day and your optimism never fails to make me feel a little better. Love you so much! (I'm reading Scythe btw because you talk about it in your videos so much, and I love it so far!)
I really love Marisha Pessl and after hearing you talk about Neverworld Wake, I want it even more!
Neverworld Wake sounds great. I would love a list of non-romance YA, since I'm a heartless crone who can't handle the romance cheese.
Omg The Way Of Kings needs to be your next read!!! I was shocked to hear you haven’t read it yet, it’s right up your alley.
Annihilation is one of my favorite books I've ever read! It creeped me out and was super suspenseful
I wish you much luck with The Serpent of Venice. I read that book 2 years ago now, I think, and ended up DNFing it for reasons that I won't list because spoilers. Hopefully you and / or Clay like it better than I did!
I'd really like to see what you think of Circe as I read it this month and it is one of my favourite books this year.
I'm reading Pachinko at the moment and I can only recommend it, it's amazingly written. You're gonna enjoy it a lot.
Please please please read NEVERNIGHT! It's absolutely amazing and GODSGRAVE IS A MASTERPIECE!!!
The lives I live I totally agree! I finished ‘Godsgrave’ not too long ago, and the ending was jaw dropping. So so good!
I'm half way finished with NEVERNIGHT and oooooooooomygerd! It's sooooooo good.
Omg!! you've increased my tbr list cause all the books sound ahhhmazing most of them are dark stories and i m a sucker for dark stories
Annihilation is not a tv show but a movie. The book and the movie are very very different from on another but both are equally interesting. I recommend! 😊
Where do you follow or see what books are coming out? I just watch booktube or see my suggestions in Amazon or goodreads to find new things.
I've been hearing so much about Circe--I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
By the way, the other Homeric epic you're thinking of is the Iliad.
I always pause your videos a million times so I can go and add books to my amazon wishlist lmao
annihilation is soooo good, i listened to it on audible and it was really fun
The concept of neverworld wake reminds me of The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas
To kill a kingdom sounds like an amazing book!
I bought way too many books this month. Some of them are classics because I feel like I’m missing out because I haven’t read a lot of classics in my life. Annihilation is actually a movie on Netflix! Haven't read the book, but the movie was SO good! Very thought-provoking and well written.
Oooh Wild Magic sounds fun! I used to love Tamora Pierce :)
Serpent of Venice is a sequel. The first book is Fool if you want to check that out first.
I JUST finished Emergency Contact! It is a great book!
Curious to see what you think of Dread Nation. I was very highly anticipating it, and it was a let down for me.
Not enough world building, history, or zombies.
Dread Nation is one of my anticipated reads! I can't wait to read it. I also want to read Emergency Contact!
Nevernight is one of my faaaaavorite books! You're going to love it!! :)
Your feelings on floppy paperbacks are correct!!! No debate, floppy paperbacks are the best and that’s the truth!!!!
I would highly highly highly recommend reading Losing brave it is an amazing book.
Do you keep a book journal? My grandma kept one for all of the books she read, then my mom, and now me! I'm over 100 now and I've been logging them since middle school
I'm reading 'Way of Kings' now and I'm loving it

Reagan, have you read the Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce? It's one of my favorite series of all time, I think you would really like it
Apparently I'm not the only one who was unable to choose between Circe and The Oracle Year and decided to get both, haha!
The other poem by Homer is called Iliad :)
Okay completely non-book related, but where did you get your shirt?? I absolutely love it!!
Godsgrave UK edition is a really pretty cover, same with the 1st book as well.
You should check that out.
Love your videos!
That bookhaul though! 😍 I’ve never read anything by Tamora Pierce but I’m thinking I should probably start!
Honestly pretty much all of these seem so interesting. THERE ARE SO MANY BOOKS TO READ.
The Quick is one of my favourite books!
PACHINKO : YES!
I got my hair styled like yours, Reagan :)
I know that sounds incredibly creepy, but when it was done it looked a lot like yours (which I didn’t expect) and I really like yours, so yeah ☺️
I love your book hauls! I wish i had that many books😂
Circe was one of the best books I've read this year. Hope you enjoy!
All of these books sound amazing
I've been so interested in "to kill a kingdom" but I've heard mixed reviews about it. But I think I may still try it.
Pachinko sounds super interesting as well 😄
I'm not sure if you know, but To Kill a Kingdom is a retelling of The Little Mermaid, the book sounds wonderful and I do own it and hope to read it soon.

Reagan! Omg you are so smart and pretty!! So cool.

All four of those books are on my MUST but list!🖤

A book I am waiting for is Furyborn. I heard it was good. Happy Earth Day 🌏!!!
Please know that the movie and the book of annihilation are very different. I enjoyed both but for different reasons. It is a very loose adaptation so I don’t think you necessarily need to read the book before you see the movie.
