- Jaz Coleman is niet alleen frontman van Killing Joke, hij is muzikant, componist, schrijver, dirigent, acteur én filosoof. Wij zochten hem op in zijn geboortestad Cheltenham waar hij ons een inkijkje in zijn leven geeft en dat van Killing Joke. Een interview uit 2021.

I remember as a punk rocker kid going into my local record store and seeing the import of the first Killing joke record and knowing nothing of them ....... but something just made me want to buy it and see what they were all about . One of my greatest blind purchases I have ever made .
First time I heard Love Like Blood as a teen, it was over! Me and my friends had our anthem. Just an instant classic. Love it so much still to this day.

I was 16 when BTATS came out, got a ticket to see them at Birmingham Odeon in 86.
My first gig on my own was so hyped.
When I got there it was cancelled someone attacked Jaz and he had his arm in plaster.

I’ve been a fan since their first album. And they are at number one in my list. And i learned a lot from Jaz over the years.
I'm 53 and only ever knew the song a love like blood until two months ago when I heard about Geordie passing and looked up killing joke and discovered a video of them playing rockplast in 85 and I was absolutely blown away by how good they are and since that day I have been trying to listen to all of their work and it's been the most uplifting time I've had in ages, thank you jaz and all the members of killing joke.
I love this band, and waiting for a new album.

Killing Joke class band, the earliest material is the most classic but they've had a steady and respectable output throughout the decades ... to this day they can still bring the goods.

Every one talks about how much they love these guys but they only know one song and nothing about the band.
You do not own the knowledge of this band. I’ve been a great fan since psyche and requiem. And even today at 62, I´m still a big fan ( except fire dances)…
Yeah. Also no one grew up in the Era or Culture.
