In this video, I have discussed in detail what is a foundation year in the UK and what are its pros and cons.
A foundation year is an extra year of study at the start of a university course. It allows students who don't meet the entry requirements for the normal course to fill in the gaps and go on to study for a full degree.
I have also discussed the duration, benefits, and requirements of the UK foundation year. Foundation year in the UK isn't a requirement for everyone but it is mandatory for those students who were not able to secure good marks.
Unlike full degrees, there are no set entry requirements for foundation degrees. You can find out more when you search for courses, but you may find it's all quite flexible. In fact, formal qualifications are not always necessary - commercial or industrial experience might be more relevant.

You can do foundation programme after matric Basically intermidiate and foundation are kind of the same but in the foundation you have the opportunity to get your desired courses and you'll complete this course within a reduced time duration of 8 months so if you can afford your pre university base will be stronger.

I can only tell you by looking at offer letter £20,000 seems much expensive normally for foundation year it is between £ 8000 to £ 10,000 per year.

Criteria for medical is bit high, you may find eligibility upto 70% but practically they accept applicant with 80%, there are many universities but you should apply in sep now.with ielts 7.0

With less marks in Intermediate you may have to start it with foundation year no matter you have done matriculation or O Level. Marks of intermediate is the criteria

Depends upon uni, some universities are happy with 70%, but some of them starts from 75%, But Most of the universities do accept year 1 entry for 70%
