kanan's blindness was caused by him blocking Mauls attack , his light saber when they hit each other, skipped back and he hit his bridge of his nose.. so technically, he blocked the shot , but there is strength behind it, so his own light saber caused the damage.. you can see it in the replay. It's like a split second.

yeah, keep in mind that season 7 of the clone wars wasn't even made yet it wasn't even a thing,, when they made this episode, I believe this episode aired sometime in 2015. Yeah, clone wars season seven came out in 2020.

Poor Ezra opening the Holocron at the end He believes Ahsoka is dead and his Master lost his sight and injured, he clearly wants the power "for good" so that doesn't happen again

that was such a amazing season final, I am very glad you watched it most of it unspoiled, thou I wish you didn''t know about Maul before hand. Also, 4:30 is the best part of the reaction XD

That was a very enjoyable, eventful and emotional reaction, lol we had to wait a lot to learn Ahsoka's fate, I never cease to wonder at how beautiful and sad that last, long shot scene was, with the grandiose music!

when this aired there was no ahsoka show so you can imagine how crushing this was. Also this was the end of the season so we had to wait several months for the next season to start.

I still don't get the Ahsoka is dead thing, you literally see her walking away at the end

@@chefkochkawasaki4127You see her now. When this aired on The Disney Channel, you could only see Morai fly into the darkness. Freezing on a DVR showed a possible shadowy figure, but Ahoska's fate was in question for some time.

@@mightyrrt interesting, I didn't know that. Makes sense now, thanks for the explanation

@@chefkochkawasaki4127 At the time the suggestion was that it was her force ghost and that it was heading into the underworld because we knew she didn't show up in the original movies. We didn't have any fore knowledge that she had survived and continued on. We knew Vader survived though. Dave also released some artwork around the same time that shows her in a passage surrounded by dark but heading for light. She also was with some wolves in some of the pieces.

Here we see perfectly how arrogant Maul is. At first, he only wants the holocron, but then realizes he could have both the holocron and Ezra.
Then he makes, in my opinion, a critical mistake. He wants to test Ezra and push him towards the dark side. The problem is that there wasn't enough time for that. If Maul wanted to win and additionally possess Ezra, there was one option. To separate group, but Maul goes with Kanan. That would have been a winning situation. Maul alone is capable of fighting the Inquisitors, so he could have killed Kanan or put him in a situation where the Inquisitors would kill him, leaving Maul with clean hands.
During this time, Ahsoka would duel Vader, and who would be left with Ezra? That's right, Maul. Total victory.
Instead, knowing there wasn't time, Maul focused on recruiting Ezra and then tried to eliminate Kanan, even though he knew there wasn't time and he still had to face Ahsoka. Additionally, when it came to the duel with blinded Kanan, Maul once again showed his greatest flaw through which he will never achieve success - arrogance.
It's also worth asking why Yoda sent them there.
Ezra's words, "We're going to fight." This logic led to the downfall of the Order. Here, Yoda wanted to give them a brutal lesson that aggression always leads to tragedy. Kanan was blinded, Ahsoka was presumed dead, and Ezra opened himself to the dark side by opening the Sith holocron.

Fun fact there is a chance that sometime between this episode and the next the Emperor had Vader kill all the remaining Inquisitors the reason for this is that according to Filoni by the time of A New Hope they dont exist anymore because the Empire declared that all Jedi were dead so they no longer were needed and with 1 exception I cant get into because of spoilers this episode is the latest in the timeline any living Inquisitor has appeared and in season 3 Ezra mentions they havent seen any Inquisitors since this episode. The reason I specified living Inquisitor is because in a comic Luke fights the burning ghost of the Grand Inquisitor who was bound to the Temple they were in by Vader as punishment for his failure, yes not even death saved him from Vaders wrath

I wont leave you, not this time........................Imagine is Ahsoka had been with him, Anakin would most likely not have turned, he would have had Ahsoka to speak with when windu arrested darth sidious, etc etc
Not her fault for Anakin turning, but she might have prevented if she had stayed with him.....that is very heavy burden to carry

In all fairness if Maul wasn't a dickhead they could have jumped Vader together. Ahsoka and him are pretty much equals at this point. And Kanan is good support since he's also gotten stronger since the start of the season. And Ezra could have taken shots at Vader from a distance while the other three engaged Vader. Ahsoka did well on he own and having this many people back her up would have made a big difference. But Maul just had to be a dickhead. It would have made more sense for him to not attack them since having meat shields in a fight against Vader would be handy.

🇦🇺💙💛✌ 🇺🇦 I really surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this series. I didn't even attempt to watch the Ahsoka live action because I could see character "devolvement" happening.

that show was one of the best live action. Star Wars wars shows to date.. just the beginning.. can't wait for season two season just keep in mind the beginning is a little slow but it's because they want to make people not used to the series like the show and understand the characters so the first two episodes are kind a introduction which is understandable but you'd like it definitely my favorite Star Wars live action show.. do yourself a favor and watch it , because season two is incoming, probably the end of this year
