    "It stays in its lane." I just love Gregors vocabulary.

    This is one of the best sounding drive pedals I've ever heard. I wish it was a little cheaper or that there were more on the used market. But I definitely plan to get one as soon as possible.

    This pedal is amazing! I use it on bass and guitar, is very versatile , and sounds incredible! I don't agree with the active bass, i also use a Stingray and it sounds amazing to me.

    Rene! What are we listening exactly in your videos? Mic'ed cab? Amp DI? External DI? Cab IR? Post EQ and compression?
    It would be great to know how you guys record audio to know whats to expect from all these pedals. It always sounds ridiculously awesome!

      bass > pedal > BAE 1073 DMP / parallel REDDI DI > interface > Two Notes cab sims (usually on the REDDI channel) > some EQ, saturation, compression from different plugins > tape machine simulation

    • @kajsilud
      @kajsilud Місяць тому

      Why adding eq, saturation etc. I would prefer hearing raw sound.

    Thanx for the awesome videos! In what order do you chain the Jive, the Rattler and the Red Muck?

    When a conversation comes up about great bass players I have to throw Rene's hat in the mix.

    Great pedal. I love my rattler and was considering this one for my backup board. However, thanks to the video, I will stick with getting another rattler. Jam makes awesome pedals. Thanks again for the video and keep up the amazing work as always.

    It would have been nice to hear it with a pick (since so many potentially buyers are going to use it that way).

    Was sold on this pedal until you said that it doesn't sound as good on active basses. Huh... Didn't know the difference would be that big

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  2 роки тому +1

      give it a try. that's not what I said. ALL pedal (except darkglass) sound better with passive basses. I realize I should be more careful with these kind of comments. Also the last sound sample sounds kinda dope I have to admit after listening to it for 100 times ;)

    • @jesuguru2394
      @jesuguru2394 2 роки тому

      I have only active basses, and have found some pedals that work excellent.... and a few that don't. This one is on my list to try for sure.

    Was there ever a sponsored (i.e., "commercial") pedal you didn't endorse? can you give me the link to that video, where you mention that the company paid you money to talk about their pedal but you actually DON'T like it? Or is it that somehow, magically, all the pedals you are PAID to review get good reviews?

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  2 роки тому +2

      if I ever get something bad to review, I don't do it. Happens rarely. Most stuff is good, you only need an idea who and what's it's good for. Just the other week we had a Harley Benton bass pedal which got this comment: not a great bass pedal. You'll find these sort of comments if you're really interested

      Of course you have to keep in mind, that this channel is, at it’s core, a commercial channel. I just enjoy the sounds, the basses, the playing and Gregors character, but I wouldn’t base my buying decisions solely on videos like these, as no one really should.

    • @basstheworldofficial

      I don’t think that’s true and if it is, then only on this channel 😉

      Good! Death metal bass sounds better clean.

    • @Mrmemphisbones
      @Mrmemphisbones 2 роки тому

      Mate the pedal sounds like it has a lot of mids, and it will cut through. Use the first gain stage as an always on tone shaper, then kick on the second gain stage to unleash hell on special occasions. I like extreme metal bass clean, but a little sparkle is always welcome. Be subtle and get the best results.
