    The lady worked so hard with the tiger, she looked so sad when the guy made that comment, "that's the problem with only half injecting", he way he said it and the look he gave her, must've broke her. I could only imagine the pain the felt. It's not even her fault though. Tigers are intelligent, and it knew something was up. They should've had Chris do it. That's amazing hard work, with dedication to take care and prepare a tiger for a sedation.

    I have such a big weakness for tigers, Aysha was a wonderful grand old lady (I just read she passed away 2 years ago at the age of 21, which is really old for a cat!). It must have been a great experience to work with and on those majestic animals

    Oh 😕 when that young girl cried when the anaesthetist was gruff with her (he seemed displeased with doing an injection by hand) was so sad. I understand that he wanted to just knock Aysha out without fuss. BUT - in the end, he actually decided that he didn't want to even give the tiger the full dose anyway - so had they did the dart anaesthesia, they likely would've given her more than necessary (coupled with the fact Aysha was already a strange breather) - things might've gone pear shaped!

    • @NaeniaNightingale
      @NaeniaNightingale 2 роки тому +2

      It was a TIGER he had to inject and not a small house cat, I would have been bloody annoyed as well. Especially if being told that the training have been giving good results, guess it was more talk than truth.

    • @lyndahammond8883
      @lyndahammond8883 2 роки тому +23

      Insensitive lack of acknowledgement. Very selfish and rude. Hope they allow her to keep trying. There is much knowledge that may be gained in this positive treatment preparation method. Much potential. Don't let past experience or ridgid thinking close off potential future beneficial gains. That's not wise.

    • @morphman86
      @morphman86 2 роки тому +8

      I think he was mostly upset with himself and the situation, but it's clear he didn't make that known to Caz at that moment.
      This is why we have a clear "no name-and-shame" policy at my workplace. Since we put that in place, people are much more open about their own mistakes and a lot less critical about when things go wrong. It's more of an "oops, my bad, here's how we fix it" rather than "he did this, she did that, let them deal with it" kind of attitude and everyone is happier for it.

    that doctor that sassed the trainer is a real piece of work. watching the procedure... it worked. it didnt work the way everyone thought itd work, but it worked. the whole goal was to minimize stress while putting the tiger under. and thats exactly what happened. partial injection and risks or not, it worked. Charlotte's training wasnt all for nothing.
    i think that doctor was so keen on it not working that the moment it didnt go exactly the way it was planned he wanted to remark about how OBVIOUSLY it wouldnt have worked... when it really did work, just differently. it wasnt a fail in the slightest. i may just be a viewer, but I'd say it was a huge success and was a factor in how smooth the procedure went on the old girl.

    When donating standard equipment to the vet ladies in Fiji makes them cry that’s pretty sad. It’s good, but it’s just hard to face the reality that not everywhere is as lucky to have all those things that you see as just something that’s just a door away and have tons of in the closet. I hope that makes sense. It’s good to see y’all donating your time as well as those needed supplies. That fluid from the hamster’s lump looks exactly like the fluid that was aspirated on 3 different occasions from a lump I had on my breast. Each time it came back, it came back smaller. The last time, the doc injected a tiny bit of air which he said would hopefully irritate the sack & cause the body to absorb it so it wouldn’t fill up again. It worked. No worries, I have regular check ups & that was 20 years ago.

And I've always thought Scott was excellent. So glad Asia did well. And the girl who trained her to follow commands to get her treats is really a genius. Chris and Lisa made me smile, just as always. His harsh demeanor and snide comments were unnecessary. The trainer is doing the right thing and making good progress, with a few more weeks I think she could have it down.

    more than often, it's the owners that need educating, to be shown how to treat their animals as living beings, not a play thing, or a commodity!! It's heart breaking to the animals treated with so little respect. The girl with the tiger was awesome!!

    I completely agree with Charlotte. Animals should not be kept in zoos and cages for our entertainment and amusement. The only reason they should ever be kept is to help sick or injured animals or to preserve the species if they're endangered. And, even then, once they've recovered, if they recover to the point that they can survive in the wild, they should be released back into their natural habitat. If they are unable to survive in the wild, it's better if they're kept, but otherwise, we just shouldn't remove them and cage them.
