About the Intro... I didn't lie! I said, "MAGICALLY it even staples." It was a genuine sleight-of-hand magic trick that took many takes to successfully film without accidentally flashing the staples. I'm hoping my creating, performing and revealing of this trick might inspire you real magicians out there to develop and perfect this trick so that you might be able to actually perform it in front of live audiences.
How did I make the strip of staples? I first folded the square of gold foil in half so the white side was hidden. Then I made the two mountain folds to determine the width of the staples (which I matched to the the width of the inner silver part of the stapler) and folded whatever was extra toward the middle on the underside of the staples. Then I flattened the model and made series of mountain folds along the whole length to make it look like a strip of staples. And finally I refolded the two mountain folds.
I designed this model after the November 2022 Eastern Hemisphere Members Livestream during which member Dhiyan requested I try to design a stapler. I did manage to design a mini stapler on the spot, but after the livestream I challenged myself to design a better stapler, and this model was the result that evolved over many attempts. Just asking... do you want people to ask for premission if they want to teach your models on their channels?
Well I give everyone automatic permission to make up to two remakes of my tutorials to put on their channels and they have my permission to make unlimited demos. I encourage people to try to design their own models to teach because that way they are adding their own creativity instead of just copying someone else's.

I’m really fascinated by the sleight of hand trick. Jeremy can you give any clues?
If you look closely, you'll notice that his fingers are always blocking the view of the staple until the end. He probably just glued the paper there beforehand, and the sheet isn't even stapled together :P
@@dumbcarbattery5916 Yes, but I didn't glue. I folded the staples and inserted them in by making tiny slits with a razor.
At the end of the video I reveal the gimmick, and yes my hand was blocking the staples at all times before the reveal.

Why did you stop using aitoh?
Because it's 4 times more expensive than Daiso and frankly Daiso paper is better! The sheets are perfectly square, the white sides are whiter, and you get more different colors and the colors are better!

Where to make staples from
I leave that as a puzzle for you to figure out, but it shouldn't be too hard since it's just a few mountains and valleys.... and a bunch of pleats to imitate the texture of a strip of staples.
Next should be a staple remover

Do you need two paper?
If you don't care about the color change then you can fold it from just one square paper. I used two squares back-to-back because I don't have a paper that is silver on one side and black on the other.
