I just lost my best friend of 8.5 years from a neurological problem right before Christmas. My anxiety was so bad I immediately got myself my new girl Minnie a small female Rotty. I trust dogs far more than I trust most people. Great story brother.
I completely understand! Sorry to hear about your loss but definitely good luck and congratulations with Minnie! I had a female Rott names Beauty, and she was SERIOUS! I put good training into her and have some great stories with her as well. When I went to prison I never even got to say goodbye to her; something that bothers me to think about even right now. Thanks for watching and listening, appreciate it
Thanks for watching and listening. I appreciate it. I have many dog stories as they were, and still remain my life. My favorite job of all times was working in a vet's office as a kid. Being around dogs and animals in general is bliss for me. I miss it!
Good story! One for the algorithm- If you ever find yourself in Milton Keynes I’d love to see how you’d handle the mental cocker spaniel I recently bought! My previous dog died kinda suddenly and I panic purchased another working cocker, previous dog had been with me in the van and at work for 12 years, couldn’t stand the thought of not having him there. This dog I got now is an absolute nutcase! Really struggling to train him!
LOVE COCKER SPANIELS! They are beautiful, awesome dogs! I've only met about three dogs in all my years I couldn't train and that's because they had some mental problems, just like some people. 🙂How old is the one you have now?
@ he’s either 5 months or 4.5 months, we think the people we bought him from might of sold him early, it was really irresponsible of us to get him but I was upset and thought i could replace sid??? We live in the edge of town so i can go into the fields 2 miles from the nearest human and enjoy the solitude and walk the dog. Need to learn more about training him, my last cocker was perfect, we were so in tune with each other i barely had to command anything, he just knew by looking what we were doing. I like them to be kinda free, you know no lead, leave the van door open at work if it’s safe so they can wander around but this puppy is bat sh*t crazy!
@@benchippy8039 You have to start by using TARGETING which means; when the dog is hungry, hold a piece of his favorite treat between your fingers and put it to his nose. He will begin to follow your hand wherever you move it once he learns the treat is there. When he follows your hand, reward him with the treat. Do this for several days until you see him moving his head wherever your hand goes. Once he learns to follow the hand you can begin leading him into whatever position you want. It's hard to explain; in my shorts you will see me doing this with my friends pitt bull briefly, check it out
@ yeah I’m gonna check that out. Other people have recommended a prong collar to get him walking right but i don’t necessarily want to over power his prey instinct. Problem is when he’s off the lead he’s straight in the hedges and brambles! Gonna check ur shorts, i don’t wanna break his spirit just wanna have fun with him and keep him safe, the connection is there, he’s just not concentrating on where he’s meant to be going!
I appreciate you loving my channel, I also love the new President. My name is not Conservative Felon for no reason. As a former prisoner many people fall under the impression that I would be more liberal, but that is not the case at all. I side with most, not all, but most conservative values and thinking. Thank you for watching and following along, it is appreciated.
I remember you your training dogs with German commands, pletz! lol might be this dog you’re speaking of, I think you had a few at that time this was summer of 95 I believe. Crazy I still remember this
@ you had 2 Rottys at the time I believe, it was the only time I ever heard German commands. We would hang out in your apartment, and do bong hits of all types lol. Good times
I do love dogs more than people, for real. One of mine is next to me this very second. They have been a part of my life since childhood. I appreciate you watching
Ask and you shall recieve. Awsomeness, thank you so much , appreciate ya!!! Quick story, I was new at driving tractor trl driving long haul tbrough all 48 states, while I was in New Jersey I cut a car off as I was a total inexperienced driver. Guys pulls his car right in front of me blocking traffic, he had to be 66 300 lbs carrying a baseball bat coming right for me. Without hesitation my 6 month old rottie leaped from the sleeper and put on a show like no other drewl flying k9s shing. The guy just shook his head and fucked off.many stories just like that one. That dog saved my ass more times than I could count.
