I think people who just take care of their skin and use a very minimal little mascara, concealer, and tinted lip balm look 10x better than a heavy over done makeup routine! I never wore makeup growing up so I totally understand feeling more “dressed up” when we do “all this” lol!
It's not just taking care of your skin I took way better care of my skin than my friends and my hormones messed that up. I'm 38 and only a month ago did I finally accomplish clear skin from vanicream z bar. And the z bar is so hard to find. IM PRAYING the other zinc soap works when I run out of my stock

My husband and I lived in Lititz the first year of our marriage. A little apartment above a doctors office on Main St, we loved it! We would take walks all the time, I specifically remember a time when it was snowing and we walked through the park while the Wilbur factory was still there in the original building. The scent of chocolate was in the air, while snow came down…it was magical!
I remember when my nephew was born I had 9 days to prepare (didn't know about the birth and I took guardianship due to some circumstances) and I had absolutely no experience with babies. Let alone I just turned 20 years old and my nephew did have some serious medical issues which complicated things. It took probably about a week until I felt confident in what I was doing and I was able to faze out the help I received from my mother during that time. It just sort of happens naturally and your instincts kick in. What I realized was how simple it actually is and its our fear of the unknown that really makes taking care of a baby so much more difficult and of course lack of sleep. Anyways he is 15 months now and is happy and healthy.
It’s pretty amazing all three of your kids still nap and you get that chunk of time in the afternoon. Enjoy it! I don’t know any four-year-olds that still take naps. What a blessing!

When we had our girls 32/35 years ago, he would help if I asked but it was very awkward for him. He has always been a great father and loves children. You are inspiring! It’s nice hearing from other women that it’s okay to not wear makeup and that we are all beautiful how we are. I’m the only one in my friend circle who doesn’t wear makeup regularly (rarely, if I ever do). Also miss the date nights. I’m recently a mom of 3 (my youngest is 7 months) myself. My baby won’t take a bottle so night outs won’t happen until she is weaned.
If I could type this in the kindest way possible, I wish there was a font for that. Someone wise shared this with me so will share it with the internets. If the IRS made an appointment to audit your business next Friday, even if there was a ballgame, dance recital, church dilemma or whatever, unless you were dying you would be there because the IRS has the ability to take everything from you and your family. Say the agent says he isn’t finished and needs to come back again the next week, well, you again cancel plans for that agent because it’s priority. Marriage and date nights deserve that same kind of guarding- at all costs. Everything is important, something will always come up. You can always do a lunch date. But the point is to make a date every single week and stick with it. Preferably on the same day. It carved out the time for that person, letting know they are valued, cherished above all. I never forgot what that person said. Life gets crazy for all of us and it’s taxing. It’s up to us how we guard it. By the way you two are smashing life together- great job 💓

I think that Josh would be crazy to give up his business. If he was working for someone else, and wasn't really loving his job, then it would be different. But he's put a lot of work into building his business and clientelle. It would be a shame to just throw that away.

Lititz was my favorite date night place to go. We would go every 2nd Friday of the month and all the shops would be open til 9. So we would eat at Tomato Pie Cafe, then walk the strip. I miss it!!!

Speaking from my own experience- I LOVE Tula. On Megan's recommendation I got the cleanser, day&night cream and rose glow cooling eye balm. I have noticed substantial improvement in the condition of my skin (both look & feel) in the 3 months I've been using it. Pricey but totally worth it in my opinion!

Yes Megan. Hunting widows are the women left behind when the men go hunting for the deer season or I suppose any hunting season. There are many events like girls weekends, craft fairs, etc marketed for the women who are “widowed”. I live in Wisconsin so I only know what happens around here! Anyway, you understand the concept correctly. Love your videos and your family! BTW, Weaver was the last name of the Amish family (I realize that there is a difference between Amish and Mennonite)that lived down the road from me when I was growing up. They had a bicycle shop which grew into what is now a general store, bulk food store and a Hardware Hank. They still have the bikes as well! Have a great day!

I find now a days some people almost look down on you if you are not doing makeup etc. I have never used makeup, just once and a while lip stick, etc.. I don’t look down at people that do makeup though.It’s just my choice at this point in life . I personally like the minimal makeup look too though. Megan you may be on the smaller scale than some of the other UA-cam people, farmhouse on boon etc but the big thing that separate you from them is your content is unique to you..farmhouse on boon and tones of other "farmhouse " you tubers or farm UA-camrs, but they all literally all copy one another's content.. They are all proofing sourdough on the counter, Getting a cow to milk and make butter,8 kids & having another every 11 months...you get my drift but they are all doing the same.your channel is unique to you, lynette, Kim and other ladies are all unique and that is what makes you ladies special & popular. Hi Megan, I had to laugh when you talked about the 1950's housewife. That was my mom and I can tell you she was just like all you busy moms. Down to earth and doing the best she could for her family. I don't remember her ever running to the bathroom to freshen up and put on lipstick. lol that is a misconception of the past.
@@JB-vd8bi Yes it had to make sense. Their lives were just as busy as we are today. My mom would do that too. Most times dressing up for church or a party, or going out in public but not a daily thing. She would pick my dad up at work and of course she would comb her hair just so she didn't looked frazzeled. She had 5 kids to look after.
I think so too! We understand each other humor. It doesn't always translate on camera, and people don't always understand when we're joking around, but WE know what each other means!!

I really like your outlook on makeup! I do wear makeup probably more than I’d like to admit… but for me it’s something to do! & I find it fun haha but I really appreciate you being open about your thoughts on makeup. I think everyone is perfect with or without it!
Have you ever tried collagen peptides ? You scoop a bit in your coffee (or drink of choice) each morning and it helps your hair look better, it also is good for joints etc. I use vital proteins. My hair was getting a bit thinner and started using that and before long my hair started having new growth and is even shinier.

You mentioned Our Tribe of Many, Solo is a pastor and has his own business so he's not really a sahd but he does have his part in Sara's UA-cam channel. I believe he reads the comments and responds. She said once that she doesn't do that and he does. I think it's important for everyone to feel successful at their calling. You are amazing at this channel and if Josh loves his business then good for him. Now my husband would quit his job in a heartbeat and build muscle cars for life. 😄
I really struggle with going more natural for my makeup. In my 20’s I got it into my head that I needed to always look “presentable” or Pretty. I never left my house without makeup. I would even come home from my warehouse job and shower and put on makeup a second time to look good for my husband. He didn’t ask for that at all, I just thought I needed it. Now that I’m older I’m trying to get more into natural beauty/light makeup, but old habits die hard 😬

So I wear a ton of makeup BUT for minimal Burts Bees do a gorgeous giant stick moisturiser that you tap onto your cheeks and lips. It's called the All Aglow moisture stick & is so big. I've found myself returning to it daily. I use it for my cheeks and lips as it nourishes the skin.
You are a classic beauty. Whatever makes a woman feel more beautiful I say go for it. Personally I like my make up a little more natural looking especially on a regular day basis. Love your channel you are such a joy to watch.

I dress my husband and buy his clothes for those same reasons 😂 half the time I gotta tell him he can't wear certain clothes to work because those are his nice clothes 😂 he works doing concrete work mostly so it all gets covered in it
It's interesting to me how I'm noticing tanning coming up in your videos as a perception of beauty. I know it's a pretty normal idea, but my brain registers it as a strange concept. I used to live in an asian community, and they had umbrellas out in the daytime to protect their skin from the sun. Now I live in a place where I am around homeless, and I can identify them the easiest by their tans. I'm in my 30s now, and a tan is also something to be avoided as I see the affects.
Loved seeing Lititz… we lived in the area most of our lives. We retired to South Carolina in 2015. Husband worked for Warwick school district (35 years) in building maintenance and was tired of plowing snow. So we moved closer to our daughter and her family in Charleston area. Miss visiting and seeing changes.
I actually learned something from Josh. So thanks. And I'll unpack... I am taking group guitar classes and the teacher is a guy and I want to critique his group teaching skills but I won't now. I am going to let him figure out why over half the class has quite now. We started with 15 and are down to 4 and two of them are the pastors kids, so yeah, just me and one other. People were telling me they were crying and upset and couldn't figure out stuff. But, yep, I am NOT going to critique and just learn on my own and show up to class. And it's a free class so it isn't about payment. Just frustrated newbies on guitars. But my mouth is zipped. Also, the instructor is cute, so that's a plus.

This might be a little too personal to share but I recently had a complete mindset/lifestyle shift (atheist/progressive to Catholic/conservative) and am at a loss of how to be the “domesticated” (not sure if that’s the most appropriate term) wife to my husband. I’m a very stubborn, strong-willed person and have difficulty placing myself in the more submissive role and letting him lead our household. If you haven’t already touched on this subject (new to the channel) can you discuss what that means to you, like a crash course on how to be a good wife? ❤️
Oh Tillamook! We live just a few hours from Tillamook Oregon! Tillamook is on the Coast. We often ztop at the Tillamook cheese factory on our way to the Oregon Coast. It's challenging to make datte nights happen but so worth it. Someday ( sooner than you think) those littles will be busy teenagers and you don't want to find yourself staring at your husband thinking who are you? Lititz was my favorite date night place to go. We would go every 2nd Friday of the month and all the shops would be open til 9. So we would eat at Tomato Pie Cafe, then walk the strip. I miss it!!!
Yes, I wish we could do this more. It's not very stroller friendly so we haven't done that very much!

Speaking from my own experience- I LOVE Tula. On Megan's recommendation I got the cleanser, day&night cream and rose glow cooling eye balm. I have noticed substantial improvement in the condition of my skin (both look & feel) in the 3 months I've been using it. Pricey but totally worth it in my opinion!
You are incredibly interesting and I would choose to watch you over the other channels you mentioned. You, Lynette Yoder and the mennonite mom are interesting and hard working with wonderful, supportive husbands. I will admit to preferring shorter vlogs x x x x

Yes Megan. Hunting widows are the women left behind when the men go hunting for the deer season or I suppose any hunting season. There are many events like girls weekends, craft fairs, etc marketed for the women who are “widowed”.

BTW, Weaver was the last name of the Amish family (I realize that there is a difference between Amish and Mennonite)that lived down the road from me when I was growing up. They had a bicycle shop which grew into what is now a general store, bulk food store and a Hardware Hank. They still have the bikes as well!

I have never used makeup, just once and a while lip stick, etc.. I don’t look down at people that do makeup though.It’s just my choice at this point in life . I personally like the minimal makeup look too though.

Megan you may be on the smaller scale than some of the other UA-cam people, farmhouse on boon etc but the big thing that separate you from them is your content is unique to you..farmhouse on boon and tones of other "farmhouse " you tubers or farm UA-camrs, but they all literally all copy one another's content.. They are all proofing sourdough on the counter, Getting a cow to milk and make butter,8 kids & having another every 11 months...you get my drift but they are all doing the same.your channel is unique to you, lynette, Kim and other ladies are all unique and that is what makes you ladies special & popular.

Hi Megan, I had to laugh when you talked about the 1950's housewife. That was my mom and I can tell you she was just like all you busy moms. Down to earth and doing the best she could for her family. I don't remember her ever running to the bathroom to freshen up and put on lipstick. lol that is a misconception of the past.
My grandmother would but it'd be at times that made sense. Like after eating at a restaurant or having a nap on a roadtrip.
@@JB-vd8bi Yes it had to make sense. Their lives were just as busy as we are today. My mom would do that too. Most times dressing up for church or a party, or going out in public but not a daily thing. She would pick my dad up at work and of course she would comb her hair just so she didn't looked frazzeled. She had 5 kids to look after.

I really like your outlook on makeup! I do wear makeup probably more than I’d like to admit… but for me it’s something to do! & I find it fun haha but I really appreciate you being open about your thoughts on makeup. I think everyone is perfect with or without it!
I pick out my husband clothes when I want him to look nice.
Have you ever tried collagen peptides ? You scoop a bit in your coffee (or drink of choice) each morning and it helps your hair look better, it also is good for joints etc. I use vital proteins. My hair was getting a bit thinner and started using that and before long my hair started having new growth and is even shinier.

You mentioned Our Tribe of Many, Solo is a pastor and has his own business so he's not really a sahd but he does have his part in Sara's UA-cam channel. I believe he reads the comments and responds. She said once that she doesn't do that and he does. I think it's important for everyone to feel successful at their calling. I really struggle with going more natural for my makeup. In my 20’s I got it into my head that I needed to always look “presentable” or Pretty. I never left my house without makeup. I would even come home from my warehouse job and shower and put on makeup a second time to look good for my husband. He didn’t ask for that at all, I just thought I needed it. Now that I’m older I’m trying to get more into natural beauty/light makeup, but old habits die hard 😬

So I wear a ton of makeup BUT for minimal Burts Bees do a gorgeous giant stick moisturiser that you tap onto your cheeks and lips. It's called the All Aglow moisture stick & is so big. I've found myself returning to it daily. I use it for my cheeks and lips as it nourishes the skin.
You are a classic beauty. Whatever makes a woman feel more beautiful I say go for it. Personally I like my make up a little more natural looking especially on a regular day basis. Love your channel you are such a joy to watch.
Keep your job Josh as you never know where UA-cam will be in the future plus you should have your own work that you love. Megan this should be your thing. I watch several families and the UA-cam channel is the wife’s job and their husbands have their own job even if they work from home.

I dress my husband and buy his clothes for those same reasons 😂 half the time I gotta tell him he can't wear certain clothes to work because those are his nice clothes 😂 he works doing concrete work mostly so it all gets covered in it
It's interesting to me how I'm noticing tanning coming up in your videos as a perception of beauty. I know it's a pretty normal idea, but my brain registers it as a strange concept. I used to live in an asian community, and they had umbrellas out in the daytime to protect their skin from the sun. Now I live in a place where I am around homeless, and I can identify them the easiest by their tans. I'm in my 30s now, and a tan is also something to be avoided as I see the affects.
Loved seeing Lititz… we lived in the area most of our lives. We retired to South Carolina in 2015. Husband worked for Warwick school district (35 years) in building maintenance and was tired of plowing snow. So we moved closer to our daughter and her family in Charleston area. Miss visiting and seeing changes.
I actually learned something from Josh. So thanks. And I'll unpack... I am taking group guitar classes and the teacher is a guy and I want to critique his group teaching skills but I won't now. I am going to let him figure out why over half the class has quite now. We started with 15 and are down to 4 and two of them are the pastors kids, so yeah, just me and one other. People were telling me they were crying and upset and couldn't figure out stuff. But, yep, I am NOT going to critique and just learn on my own and show up to class. And it's a free class so it isn't about payment. Just frustrated newbies on guitars. But my mouth is zipped. Also, the instructor is cute, so that's a plus.

This might be a little too personal to share but I recently had a complete mindset/lifestyle shift (atheist/progressive to Catholic/conservative) and am at a loss of how to be the “domesticated” (not sure if that’s the most appropriate term) wife to my husband. I’m a very stubborn, strong-willed person and have difficulty placing myself in the more submissive role and letting him lead our household. Oh Tillamook! We live just a few hours from Tillamook Oregon! Tillamook is on the Coast. We often ztop at the Tillamook cheese factory on our way to the Oregon Coast. It's challenging to make datte nights happen but so worth it. Someday ( sooner than you think) those littles will be busy teenagers and you don't want to find yourself staring at your husband thinking who are you?
