What I am getting from Azure Standard

- I haven’t shown an Azure Standard haul in a while. My current purchases are mostly in line with what I am exploring now. I am trying to concentrate on making breads and baked goods with freshly ground flour.
The flour we can buy from groceries (or pretty much anywhere) are mostly dead in nutrition. In order to make them shelf stable, they must have the bran and germ removed. When you buy “whole wheat” flour, you are getting the sifted flour with some bran added back for fiber.
Azure Standard carries the whole wheat berries (a number of different types), and so there is a type for almost anything you would want to use wheat flour for.

There are a number of really good grain mills out there. I use the Mockmill 200 (although the 100 is great for most uses). I am not an affiliate, but that is what I love and use.

So good to see you--so good to hear you. I'm gf, but I'm willing and able to learn. I baked with glutinous flours for years before I realized that my worsening health woes were gluten inspired...but baking is still baking, plus I enjoy the visits with you.
I don’t order every time either, I try to make it worth my while to make the drive over to the drop, and like you, it doesn’t always work with my schedule. I have been happy with absolutely everything I have ordered from them and it has given me incentive to eat better.

I have a severe gluten sensitivity and I can use Einkorn flour! So I use Einkorn for bread and gf flour for everything else. ❤ from Maryland

Wow! We have only gotten a dusting, but it is now slush.
It’s hard to go back to regular minced garlic after using the minced roasted garlic. It’s so good!

I haven't tried this brand but it's very impressive!
Stay warm and as dry as possible, we've recently had way too much rain!😋 The water is still standing everywhere, it looks like newly formed lakes in places and will take a while to dry out.
We didn't get any snow this year but it froze several times. Ground Hog Day doesn't mean anything here, it was cloudy and rainy then the sun was out. We haven't had 6 weeks of winter yet and the chances are slim now.
It's not unusual for us to get to 80° in February and the next day could be freezing. We're enjoying the time we have between 32° and too hot to breathe.

How much is the soft white wheat berries?And do they come in a bucket?

I don’t believe they come in a bucket, but I use a food grade 5 gallon bucket with a gamma lid to store them. I will usually use a few bay leaves in the bucket.
How much of the 25 lb soft white wheat berrys fit in the 5 gl bucket so I can get them ahead of time
