Such a noble lady. May her soul rest in peace. Often pious and loyal people are mistreated by their spouses. She deserved love and care from her husband. History repeats itself. Nothing has changed even today, see Princess Diana's life.
Oh, I like the sound of Louise! Not just giving money to charity, but actually going out & helping directly, & dressing plainly rather than drawing attention to herself & showing off how generous she was. One of the most genuinely good, decent & admirable of the rich, noble/royal people I've learnt about. (And I'm pleased that she was cos my Mum's name is Lorraine, lol). Louise is now my 2nd-fave French queen, after her sister-in-law Marguerite de Valois. Very interesting, thankyou- so much info in 5min!
A very noble woman of a pure soul and strong will. Very descent. And, probably, she wasn’t unhappy as it may seem at first. It was her choice and she was dedicated to her principles. What a good Queen she might have been for people! Thank you, dear Kings of France, for this wonderful video ❤!
She's a really admirable figure. The way she picks herself up and does what she loves is truly inspiring. I'm sure she helped many people during her lifetime. Thank you for making a video about this great Queen.
It is sad that she never was appreciated in life by those who were supposed to have cared and loved her. However, if there is one consolation, however minor it could be, at least her remains were not disturbed by the French Revolution’s desecration of the royal tombs like so many of her other contemporaries.
Yeesss! I’ve always wanted to learn about this sometimes-neglected Queen of France! Not that much information about her online, but as ever, this was excellently researched and beautifully presented! Looking forward to your next upload!
@@lilyofthevalley5586 Actually I haven't worked out the details just yet but I'm sure I'll do something with it. I have never been there so I do want to take the time to absorb everything for myself. This weekend though I visited the village of Cochem and have visited the Reichsburg there, which was the home of the Plalzgräfen. It was destroyed by Louix XIV in 1698 and rebuilt in the 19th century. I'll be doing a little video 'The Kings Of France Travels...' on that one I think.
Hi, Awesome live history video I enjoyed it can't wait to see more soon. How are you and Rani your cat doing? I'm doing well my cat has grey fur and yellow eyes. He's very big Benjamin my cat says hi to you and Rani your cat. He sends his purrs. How is Rani your cat doing? I hope she feels well again. What does she look like? Have a great day see you next video greetings from Canada 😀
its always the momma's boys. Most likely jealousy of how likable and kind Louise was and the attention she was receiving from her son, maybe even from the people/nobles too. Poor girl indeed 😕
Although deceived by the false Christian cult of Catholicism, Louise of Lorraine was a rare woman and heroine to be commended for her faithful devotion to her cheating adulterous husband, in life and death, and for helping those who were sick, dying, or poor.
Thank you Nieke, a very sad life this beautiful lady had, a very kind gentle Compassionate lady who deserved better.

What a coincidence, I read an article about Louise de Lorraine only a few hours ago! What a sad and lonely life she led. Another excellent video.
I hope this video did her justice. Thanks for watching.

It's so sad she didn't have children. I have read somewhere she conceived but had a miscarriage which got infected and caused her later infertility :(
Thanks for sharing that additional information with us Marina !
After reading about her life, I wonder how it would've change everything for France if she and her husband had children.
Always difficult to speculate without these things… thank you for watching.
Wow! She was quite pretty!
Her dress was everything ! Thanks for watching Amy !

Thank you very much! ❤️ I agree with many others. Very sad story, remarkable woman. Had Louis XVI name Lorraine too?
I'm sorry, I don't really get the question, can you elaborate please ?
@@TheKingsofFrance Marie Antoinette was de Habsbourg-Lorraine. I thought Lorraine name came from Louis XVI. En muista yhteyttä Lorrainen alueeseen.
Her father was Duke of Lorraine!
Yes that is correct. I have a video about him on my channel !
