thank you for this video. I have been a volunteer for many years and I take care of abandoned cats, currently there are 34 under my care. Some of them are completely blind, some are half-blind, many of them are fiv positive. This video is a great support and guideline for my further work because I decided to stop taking all medicines, I haven't vaccinated them for more than 4 years, I'm still trying to throw out the anti-parasite tablets and find an alternative solution and definitely switch them to a raw diet, right now are at Porta 21...thank you again from the bottom of my heart for this video

My dogs both have very healthy guts at 14 and 14.5. I have been feeding homemade raw for almost 13 years. Every once in awhile I try a supplement, not because I think they need it but because I thought this is supposed to be good for him. Two examples are probiotics and green lipped mussels. These supplements caused nothing but problems and I tried several brands. So my attitude now is that if it isn't broke don't fix it. The only supplement I use on rare occasions when they need it is slippery elm bark powder.

Hey Dr. Judy, I need a vet somewhere in the NJ area that is as knowledgeable as people like you and Dr. Karen Becker, can anyone please help me? :) First holistic vet i am with now is not great, seems to be in it for the high markup procedures and products. Feels like such a conflict to have the person who gives you advice also be the one selling you the long list of prescribed products

Depends where you are in NJ. Dr. Kendra Pope is the best in the country if you can get in.

@@judymorgan4241 Wow thank you so much for your reply and I am sorry for not answering sooner! I am in central NJ and willing to drive anywhere within like 100 miles, or if they are along the eastern seaboard I will go all the way to Florida if I have to.
I will definitely check out Dr. Kendra Pope! Do you have any backup vets you could recommend as well if she isn't taking new patients?
Side question, I am mainly looking to feed Solutions Pet Products and Green juju with rotations of Small Batch. Solutions was not on your list, do you recommend them? Or if you are staying out of the drama just say you don't want to answer!
Thank you so much for your reply. I am going to schedule a nutrition consult with you one day as well. I appreciate everything you do, you are incredible!!!!

Just letting you know her course is $2,000. I spent close to $300, in addition to the class price, on supplements she recommended which only made my dog's issues worse. One of the dogs in our group died under her care and all of them except 1 got worse and not better. You can find all the information online for free. Feed a good clean diet without hormones or antibiotics - one that rotates proteins and veggies, make sure your pet's environment is free of harmful chemicals - candles, plug in, cleaning products, pesticides, etc. , be sure you understand what you are giving your pets - bathing, meds, topical products. Give yourself 24 hours before making any decisions - That will allow you to do homework so you are making an educated decision. There... I just gave you the 6 week course. Save your money.

My toy poodle started having a tummy ache awhile back the main time is after her morning meal. My vet wants to test a stool sample. Is this correct? They are totally against a raw diet. I feed Primal raw nuggets. Started Gut Soothe and have seen some relief but not fully. I’m not sure what to do. She Will stretch and then burp and them is fine but can go on for an hour. Evening is fine

try raw goat's milk, fermented. Solutions sells some and Green Juju has unfermented that you can ferment yourself. Those two brands are where I source most of my dog food after extreme research. Primal is not bad but nothing compares to Solutions and Green Juju products. Small Batch is the best commercial raw that comes in convenient patty sizes like most raw commercial gigs

I want to tell you a story. A number of people told me that if you offer a pet healthy food, they'll choose to eat it over food that is bad for them. I decided to test this out with my dog and three cats. I got a raw, organic chicken breast, and some Krispie Kreme donuts, and offered them both at the same time. All the pets sniffed the chicken, sniffed the donuts, and grabbed a donut. The cats grabbed the donuts and ran, growling. They had NEVER had a donut in their life. I had never fed them any bread or muffins or anything made from wheat. So, it's not always about them not recognizing food as being food. Sometimes pets just prefer junk food. Nobody in their right mind will believe that Krispie Kreme donuts are food that cats will recognize as food, and yet, all three of my cats didn't even hesitate. One quick sniff and they grabbed the donuts and ran. We had to chase them down to get what was left of the donuts that they hadn't already consumed by the time we caught them. I still don't understand what possible nutritional benefit a Krispie Kreme donut might smell like to a cat. But we all know how addictive Krispie Kreme donuts are to people.

wow thanks for sharing this...I believe its from the clever food engineering these Companies have Food Engineers, and then they apply these proprietary ingredients to foods during processing (why on earth would a cat pick a doughnut over meat when grains are not part of their natural diet) it has to be from addictive and hidden ingredients we don't know about...look up Senomyx, this company has made 29 million in 2017. The company has identified human receptor genes related to the detection of smells and tastes. This would explain why processed foods have become highly addictive and this occurs in human and petfood alike (thats why people and their pets are so fat/sick, tired, etc.); Gatorade is one of the worst, Purina also uses this company...they are in most processed foods...you can locate their list of foods w/a search if interested....
